[I'm the Homelander In Marvel]
Chapter 1: Is trolling really that bad
Michael sat at his desk, basking in the glow of his computer screen. He was an ordinary guy, well mostly ordinary. Sure, he had a job, a social life, and the usual day-to-day worries. But Michael had a unique hobby, he loved to mess with people online. Whether it was in a Call of Duty lobby or trolling Fortnite kids, he enjoyed the satisfaction of hearing the shouting on the other end of the mic.
Recently, Michael had found a new playground for his antics, Reddit. He stumbled upon a thread where fans were fiercely debating whether Marvel characters could easily defeat those from "The Boys." It was an obvious trigger point, and Michael couldn't resist.
With a smirk, he typed out a comment: "You guys have a point when it comes to the comics, but let's be real the MCU is so nerfed that Homelander would have a field day with them. Even Hulk doesn't stand much of a chance not after how badly they did him in the more recent films.
The reaction was immediate and explosive. Fans flooded the thread with facts and feats, desperately trying to prove Michael wrong. They cited things mentioned by the directors, movie scenes, and character statistics as if their lives depended on it. Michael on the other hand watched the chaos unfold while eating from a bag of carrots.
After a while, the arguments started to blur together, and Michael began to lose interest. With a final taunt, he closed his laptop and called it a night. All whilst being completely unaware that one of the people he had been arguing with wasn't just another Marvel fan. This particular user was a higher being, and like most others, this one was prone to holding grudges.
Heading over to his bed he got comfortable and set his alarm for work in the morning but before he could sleep he suddenly heard the squeaking of his chair from across the room. The sound immediately drew his attention as he sat up and saw a hooded man sitting in his chair.
"What the hell, how did you get in my house"
"Silence, I've heard from you long enough" With a snap of his fingers Michael suddenly felt his voice leave him. No matter how much he tried to make noise it only came out in grunts.
Looking back at the man he knew he was the one responsible but why was he doing this to him? And more importantly, how did he offend such a guy?
"Hehe you silly mortals gain so much courage when you know no one can do anything to you from behind their screen. I think it's time one of you paid for that mindset."
Hearing that comment Michael figured out that this was most likely the result of one of his internet trolls. The moment he realized this he knew he was in for a load of trouble. He doesn't know from which session this guy was from but depending on which things can go from bad to horrible really fast. Especially with his voice gone because that was clear proof the other party didn't want to hear a single word from him.
'If I had known that such terrifying people existed then I would have never done any of that heck I would have been the best guy around!' But it was too late to regret now.
"Don't worry silly one though you are getting punished I won't be too harsh. That would just be unfair so instead I'll give you a little bit of help. So do your best, hehe toodles"
Clapping his hands Michael felt himself get sucked away. To where? he didn't know but everything around him felt strange. There was no up or down making it hard to tell if he was falling or floating in place. This strangeness continued on until he felt the familiar suction of being pulled. 'Ah no here we go again.'
This time Michael was able to feel himself again and realized he was falling but this realization came too late as he fell flat on his back.
"Ugh, my back… at least I landed on something soft." Michael muttered to himself as he got off the ground. Looking around he saw trees and grass everywhere but there were also concrete sidewalks. This means he wasn't in some random forest and was most likely in a park.
Thud!
"Agh, what just hit my head" Ignoring the sore spot on his head he began searching around the floor where he found a blue syringe with a note attached and a wallet. Picking them up he opened the wallet and saw a new ID and social with 20$ on the side. 'Well, at least it looks like I have an ID' Putting that away he moved on to the note and opened it up.
"Hey before you do anything I recommend you give yourself a shot first. It's the only gift you'll have from me so if someone takes it from you don't expect help. As to what it contains well you said Homelander can solo Marvel so here's your chance to test that out"
Finished reading the note Michael didn't even bother hesitating. He was still unsure of what was going on but there was no way he was going to risk taking too long to find out.
Placing the needle against his skin he slowly inserted and began releasing its contents. He had no idea if he was doing this right but it's not like he had other options. Once done he waited a couple of moments for something to happen but no sudden change occurred leaving him confused.
'Maybe I did it wrong' taking out the note he was going to see if he missed something but at that moment Michael suddenly began feeling strange. He felt stronger and his senses also became heightened. He expected it to overwhelm him and it did but not as much as he thought it would.
Yeah, he could hear basically everything going on for miles but at the same time, it was manageable. Instinctively it was like his mind was shutting off the background noise but at the same time, it was still there so if anything happened he'd notice it.
"This is definitely different" Checking the note one more time he didn't find any more tips or instructions meaning from this point on he was on his own. The only problem was he didn't know where he was. Not for sure at least but by the way things were going it was most likely MCU.
'To think I ended up in this mess just because I trolled a little… but I guess it isn't that bad. If I really got Homelanders powers then things should be pretty smooth'
People clowned Homelander a lot for being weak compared to Superman but that's the thing. He was usually compared to Superman. Who wasn't weak when compared to Superman? On his own Homelander was actually kind of impressive.
'Ah, I'm getting sidetracked. I need to find out when this is' Luckily for him, it was still daytime so it shouldn't be too hard to ask around.
