The Culprit

Sun Zhou Yi, Musashi Hirata, and Butcher Wang rushed back. Even with the newly learned Nimble Step, they could not get back in time. The moment they reached Xing District, they saw dozens of bodies collapsed on the ground.

The last man was knocked unconscious by Heero just as they arrived.

"Uhhh... We are too late..." Musashi Hirata sighed in disappointment while Sun Zhou Yi breathed a sigh of relief. The three students had different feelings upon their arrival, with Butcher Wang being horrified at the sight of the desiccated bodies of the ghosts.

"IRGHHH... What happened to them?" He staggered back a few steps in horror. Of the three, Butcher Wang was the only one who had never encountered the Specter.

Heero rolled his eyes at the frightened Butcher Wang and gave his orders, "Gather the corpses in the dungeon and inform Fatty Liang, the troublemakers are secured!"

Sun Zhou Yi and Musashi Hirata nodded as they moved. Butcher Wang decided to run to the security house to notify his friend instead of moving the bodies. The desiccated mummy scared him.

In less than a minute, the bodies and the unconscious Guo Shan disappeared from the street. It was as if there was no battle going on here.

Meanwhile, Huang Smithy's lobby was filled with rankers and heroes. There were only a few gold-class heroes and rankers among them. They had no idea of the emergency.

"How long are you going to keep us locked in the shop like this? What happened outside? If there are troublemakers, we can help take care of them! I have an important job to do," complained the Gold Class Hero, who was visiting Xing District for the first time.

He thought his words would attract many followers, and that Blacksmith Huang would let them come out of the shop. In fact, he was more curious about what was happening outside and wanted to know who the troublemakers were.

He did not get any support, but he did get stares from the others. He noticed that some of them scoffed at his remark, while others gave him a strange look. The man was confused until a clear and strong voice reached his ears.

"If you try to go out in my place or try to make a ruckus! I will have you blacklisted from my forge, and not just my forge, you will be blacklisted from entering the district as well! Just follow the procedure if you still want to visit this place!"

The man turned towards the voice, only to be met with a fierce glare from Blacksmith Huang. Despite being a Gold Class Hero, the man flinched and immediately looked away from Blacksmith Huang.

He certainly did not want to be blacklisted for mere curiosity. The weapon provided by Blacksmith Huang was of much better quality than the overpriced weapon on the market.

The man immediately shut his mouth. Then he understood why the others looked at him strangely. He had heard all the rumours, and it was true, a mere unranked gold class hero like him wouldn't dare to insult a power that dared to defeat the emperor class.

Not long after that, he heard the bell ring. This time, the bell only rang once, and then he heard the voice of bkacksmith Huang, "All right, the troublemakers have been taken care of! You can line up outside again!"

With that, the steel covering the forge was lifted. The man immediately rushed out, only to find that the district was functioning normally as before. It was as if the emergency had never happened.

Stunned, he muttered in a low voice, "How can they not act like this? Does no one care about what happened?"

"Man, the district security teams are responsible for our safety, why should we worry about what happened? As long as we're safe, that's enough! Especially for the people who live in the outer region. This is paradise for them!"

As night fell, Heero gathered his two disciples who had great influence in the upper echelons of Star City, Sun Zhou Yi and Musashi Hirata.

After the attack, Heero found out that the man leading the group of ghosts was Guo Shan. When Guo Shan's face appeared in front of him, he thought the ghosts were related to the Shen family.

But after using the Honesty Potion on Guo Shan, he found out that it had nothing to do with the Shen family. Everything was started by the Feng Family, including the Ghost Army, which was a secret army of the Feng Family.

Heero wanted to talk to his student about this, he felt something bad was going to happen. He did not want the peace of the city to be shattered because of the clash between the great families in the core region.

As for why he thought something bad was going to happen, it was because of the appearance of the Ghost. Siding with the Ghost meant that the Feng Family would become an enemy of humanity.

The Feng Family was one of the twelve most influential families in Star City. Their betrayal would be dangerous for the city, and they must be up to something, since the Specter was humanity's natural enemy.

"So what are you going to do, Master?" Sun Zhou Yi opened the conversation with a question. If Heero wanted to keep the peace for his family, he felt it was his responsibility as a hero to keep the peace.

"Is there any power or even family that can be trusted?" Heero also answered with a question.

"My clan can be trusted. They may be arrogant and proud, but they have never done anything shady behind their backs. Because they would do it openly, but they never crossed the line! They can be trusted to take care of the Feng family, but what about Guo Shan?

Musashi Hirata was the one who answered. Even though he did not like his clan, he had to admit that his clan had never done anything evil.

"But can't your clan defeat the Feng family on its own? They are still one of the twelve biggest families! As for Guo Shan..." Heero rubbed his forehead when they talked about Guo Shan.

He certainly could not let Guo Shan die.

"In my opinion, there's no need to use Loss Potion on him. We should let him remember what we can do to him, we should instill fear in him so that he won't cause you any trouble! The same goes for the others, let them know everything and they will not dare to make trouble for you!"

"As for my clan, don't worry. As long as we give them the evidence, they will be happy to take down the Feng family. The other families will also be happy to cooperate with my clan. You don't have to worry about that," Musashi Hirata said.

Musashi Hirata said what was on his mind. He felt that his master was too soft towards these people.

"Okay then, we will do as you say..." Heero agreed with a heavy heart.

He had been a hero before, he wanted to avoid bloodshed, even if this was Earth. It would be best if they could solve the conflict by talking. But during his time here, more than six months, he realised that talking peacefully was not an effective way to solve the problem.

"What about the Bai family? Should we involve them regarding the Feng Family?" Sun Zhou Yi left the matter of Xing District's stance to his master, but he felt that the Musashi Clan alone would not be enough to face the Specter Group as he remembered the incident in the second dungeon.

"It's good if you can inform them, but do you have a connection with them? We can't tell the Feng family that we've already found out about their ghost army. We can't alert them and secretly hand over the evidence and then let them take care of the rest!

Musashi Hirata replied positively. He had to admit that among the twelve families that controlled the core region, the Bai family was the most respectable. Informing the Bai Family earlier was much better than informing his clan.
