Chapter : 5 Vegetative State
"How is she?" ; Mo Zixuan asked anxiously to the surgeon who walked out of the O.T.
" She is alive....." The doctor hesitated.
"Can you make it clear...." Li Jun fumed " What do you mean .....alive?"
"Honest Condition" Mo Zixuan said in a chilling cold voice which was enough to make the doctors shiver.
Li Jun and Mo Zixuan were the people who the surgeon could never offend .... there was a reason they were said to be the kings of business world .....
" Umm "" Mr. Li and Mr. Mo ....." the doctor mustered up the courage , " Ms . Ning lost a lot of blood throughout the night due to here injury at back. She hit her head to the roads resulting in dilation of blood vessels in brain.....so she may develop a migraine . Her legs were hit hard as well and hence her ability to walk again depends on her willpower and her hands are fractured .....and ..."
"And?" Mo Zixuan asked with the last bit of voice left in him after hearing the situation of his lovely sister...
" She is in a vegetative state , i.e. , her life is supported by the medical technology and she might be in coma for a long time . So, about the consent of patient's family ....."
"Keep her alive , don't dare to turn off the ventilator otherwise I will kill you " Li Jun said in threatening voice.
" Scram " Mo Zixuan ordered to everyone in the corridor.
As the people left , both the men had a defeated and scared expressions on their faces.
"These doctors know nothing. They are scaring us bro. Our sissy would never leave us. They are lying brothers " came the voice of Li Lin from the end of the corridor.
I know she loves us , she can't think to leaves us , I...I know they are lying ...
He had tears in his eyes because he could show his vulnerable side only in front of his elder brother.
With him , stood with a solemn expression .
"Can we see her ? " Guo Shenghua asked.
"Hmmm" , Li Jun said.
Each step they took was like thunder and lightning to one's heart.
Each step became harder to take, like quick sand sinking their legs in, making it harder for them to breath.
All the four entered the room where the little girl lied.
In the dark room , came the little bit of sunlight which touched the soft and tender yet bruised skin of the 14-year old.
All the four sat surrounding her bed .
The girl who would've jumped upon them the moment she saw any of them didn't even moved.
It pained.
It pained a lot to see her like that.
Their hearts ached when they wondered as to how many times she must've had screamed their names throughout the entire night when she was groaning and crying due to that unbearable pain.
"I am sorry", all the four said subconsciously as guilt and regrets flooded their hearts.
"That's enough Xi'er .. Open your eyes." Mo Zixuan trembled voice echoed in the room.
silence.
They all could see was the girl they truly loves wholeheartedly.
"Xi'er..." Zixuan softly spoke again. "Wake up.."
"Please don't leave us .... please don't..." their sobs echo through the room and out into the hospital corridors. "We're begging you.. please don't leave us ....."
