Summoning his courage, he finally spoke, his voice tinged with remorse. "You must understand, my beloved, that every supernatural force in this world would relentlessly hunt you down once they discover the existence of our unborn child. I cannot bear the thought of losing you or our precious offspring. It is my duty to be there, to shield you from the malevolence that seeks to harm you."
Fury blazed within the heart of the other male figure, who refused to be seen as a damsel in distress, a mere pawn in the cruel game of fate. "I am well aware of the potential our child holds, born of a union between a powerful werewolf and a mage. "But please, allow me to stand beside you, to protect ..." the first male voice pleaded, his heart aching with remorse and longing. Unable to complete his sentence, he desperately wished to add the word 'you' at the end.
