The next couple of days were extremely awkward for Persephone. Her mother barely said a word to her, and barely gave her any tasks in preparation for spring. And when she did assign her a task, she relayed it through one of her sisters, rather than telling it to her face to face.
The blue eyed goddess walked to her favorite swing that hang off a large jacaranda tree branch and sighed. She had finally finished organizing all the flowers that had been selected for the next spring. It was back breaking work, but since Persephone had done it a million times before, it was a walk in the park for her.
Persephone noticed her mother walking around the fields doing some stock taking and got up. She walked hurriedly to catch up with her, hoping she would get the chance to talk to her.
Demeter was a proud woman, so Persephone knew that if she didn't reach out and apologize, they would probably go the entire holiday without talking.
"Mother!"
