22: confession

Today was Saturday and I have no classes, as usual. So, naturally, I’m just staying here in my room while working on my manga. Then after a while, I noticed Caden trespassed my room. He caught my attention when I saw that he’s holding a guitar. It’s an acoustic one that was red in color.

He sat on my bed and started to tune it.

“Hey, what are you going to do?” I asked.

“I’ll play this, of course.”

“You can?”

He just chuckled and started to strum its strings.

“They say that love is forever

Your forever is all that I need

Please stay as long as you need. . .”

I stopped what I’m doing and I’m stunned from what I heard.

I don’t have an idea that he can sing. He has an effortlessly angelic voice that is a little raspy. I just continued listening to his singing while playing the guitar.

“Hey.”

I flinched when he called me and that’s when I also realized that he’s already done singing.

“Why?” I asked.

“Why are you smiling like that?” he queried grinning.
