How Gorgeous

Frank had the urge to quench his thirst. He stopped in his tracks when he remembered how powerful the Goddess was. A single movement of her arm beat his strongest attack effortlessly. Frank was astonished while he grew wary of her.

He landed his gaze on Draven's corpse once more, and he was certain Draven was dead. After all, who could still be alive with that body condition?

He changed his gaze and stared at the Goddess, and the latter gently swayed her body 180 degrees and faced Frank with a frown expression on her face.

"Stop making any conclusion that is unlikely to happen." The Goddess reprimanded Frank.

Frank apologized immediately with his head bowed. However, he complained about his thoughts.

'What do you mean that is unlikely to happen? You are sitting at the object, which might be the reason for his death! Surely, as an individual who was stronger and faster than me, you could have saved him, right? The only plausible explanation is that you have let him die a horrible death with an entertained smile!'

Frank, however, maintained his amiable smile and tried to obtain the side of the Goddess. After all, he still wanted to live and might have encountered an object which could provide Draven's possible resurrection.

'If I can't revive Draven when they come back…' Frank smiled bitterly. 'I'm doomed!'

"What are you thinking?" A feminine vexed voice entered his ears. "Stop drifting your mind to other dimensions!"

The exasperated Goddess was actually adorable when she made that face. Her big pair of bosom jiggled as she placed her arm below them.

"I'm sorry…" Frank apologized once again. "It's because the kid below you has some influence that I'm afraid I will lose my life if the information that he died spreads."

"Tsk!" The Goddess grumbled. "It appeared that the kid was more useful than you!"

Frank could only awkwardly laugh in response. Although, they were talking at a distance of half a mile. It was because there were only the two of them in a tranquil atmosphere, which caused them to converse with each other without feeling their words indistinct.

Swoosh!

Frank moved and closed the distance to both of them but still kept their distance when he felt safe and could escape at the right time.

"You are too wary of me." The Goddess complained. "Anyway, it's good that you are. Let's have a little chat, shall we?"

Frank Edison felt tense about the Goddess's proposal. He did not know what he should say since he was afraid once that the dimensional portal was kept for over twenty minutes. He was unsure if the government's backup had a leader stronger than him or probably at the Saint stage.

After all, in every classified S-rank dimensional portal, the boss had the same strength as the Saint Stage awakeners. It was because of this that Nicholas, his assistant, tried to prevent him from acting like a hero, for he knew how dangerous battling the boss single-handedly was.

Furthermore, Frank's stage was only the Peerless Stage, which was a single rank below the Saint stage. Although it was only a single rank, the higher the stage was, the more the difference between each of them grew exponentially.

"W-What do you want to talk about?" He gulped.

A Saint Stage level Dimensional boss had an oppressiveness aura, which made Frank feel pressure and tension. He wanted to grab Draven's corpse right away and escape, but he knew he could not, under the careful eye of the Goddess.

Furthermore, the distance between the Goddess and Draven was a little over a meter, which was closed enough for the Goddess to kill him with no effort.

"It's nothing. I'm only curious about this kid's identity." The Goddess amiably smiled.

However, Frank felt the Goddess smile was venomous and terrifying. A single lie could inflict him with potent venom, which could cause him to die a horrible death. Frank was frightened by the thought of this and saw no reason not to tell Draven's background. Hence, he decided to disclose it.

"What do we do?" one of the soldiers asked, agitated. "It has been almost twenty minutes, and the Peerless Master and the boss appeared to be discussing themselves."

"What do you know?" His colleague smacked his head to ease his agitation. "Did you not see how helpless and powerless the Peerless Master is in front of the boss? Unless a Saint Stage powerhouse arrived, we stood no chance at all!"

The General heard their discussion and strolled his way over to them. He chimed in, "Indeed. Even with the use of a binocular telescope, the peerless master's lips movement could not be read at all."

The General's curiosity was piqued by what information the Peerless Master disclosed. Did he talk about how powerful humans are? Is he giving the boss information so that he can escape alive? That's selfish, isn't it? He thought and could not help but be pessimistic.

"L-let's help him?" A quiet soldier who was near the dimensional zone suggested while he stuttered.

After all, he witnesses the Peerless Master's graceful act of eliminating the milky worm with ease. After he saw the Peerless Master talking to the boss like a servant, made him felt angry and frustrated as he watched his idol what became.

He wanted nothing but to fire his rifle, which the bullet was enhanced and might possibly take damage and reclaim the Peerless Master's reputation.

Before the Major could make a response he was speechless about the dumb soldier's suggestion. He saw the latter walking at the dimensional zone and entered with its firing stance. His other eye was closed, while the other opened and attentively looked for the scope, which the target sign directed at the boss.

All of a sudden, the sudden urge of looking at something when he entered the dimensional zone appeared, and he could not help but move his scope and gaze at the East side of the horizon.

After he saw what the dumb soldier tried to do, the General could not help but exclaim.

"Don't look at the moon!"

However, alas it was too late, as the dumb soldier's scope covered the moon's brilliance.

"How gorgeous." He muttered before his body deformed and mutated into the milky white worm.
