"That was quite a while ago, I believe," Averna said, eyeing the tile design.
'I can't believe they went ahead with my childish design!'
She turned her gaze to the center of the room, admiring the beautiful garden that surrounded the fountain.
"Have you ever seen any other ones like this, man?" asked Brandon.
"No, I haven't. That's why I love it so much, though. There aren't many places like this anymore. I wish I could have experienced one of these as a child. It must have been incredible."
Averna's smile widened at the childish innocence in his words. It wasn't every day she could witness cold-blooded personal guards, or bodyguards, having such pure joy in their eyes when they spoke of things that brought back fond memories.
"What are you thinking, ma'am?" Brandon whispered in her ear.
"Nothing. Just reminiscing."
