"It's like I need to be the one locking the door from now on." Damian narrowed his eyes at the guilty Lance at his side.
"What can I say? I don't like the struggle of attending to the door when someone knocks." Lance was defensive.
Damian and Lance looked at each other expectantly, waiting for the scolding.
Turning around, they were met with the person who had come in earlier. It was Eileen who came in; her hair was in a messy bun, and she had a bright smile on her face.
Damian's expression fell, and his high hopes of it being Averna were dashed to the wind.
"Good day. I have come to check on how you two are doing." Eileen started, her voice full of cheer.
There was something more. Damian looked at Eileen with a look of suspicion as to why her cheeks were flushed as she spoke.
'Damian is looking my way!' Eileen squealed internally before looking the other way.
