Unbreakable love: Only one I love

Alex had one goal in life to make enough money so she could give her mother a comfortable life. But her efforts always seemed less fruitful even with her adoptive father and step-sister by her side. "Am not crying, just got something in my eye " Alex sniffed. "Am sorry, here is something that might help" the stranger said passing his handkerchief. "Thank you," she said taking it. After wiping the falling tears she turned to look at the stranger. His long brown hair was moving with the breeze around him as his dark orbs stared down at her. He bent down took his hankie and gently wiped the still falling tears from her eyes, "you missed a spot" he smiled. She smiled remembering that night, it was the day she had met him. Nathan Livingston. The man who claimed to only have eyes for her and soon had proved it.

Indeed I don't

"Am sorry, Alex. I just..." she smiled and he smiled back.

"Am hungry, show me to the food" she giggled.

"With pleasure," he said, the trace of anger on his face was gone and filled with care.

They walked off and Alex's father turned to his wife.

"She has saved you twice now, if you can't keep your disgusting comments to yourself please leave. Cause me and your daughter still was to stay" he said letting go of her hand.

She scowled biting her lips in anger.

....

Alex giggled as Nathan kept feeding her different dishes.

"Try this now, it's filled with cream. Mom said you loved anything with cream in it" he said.

"So that's what you were both talking about when I was gone" she laughed.

"We have one important thing in common and that's cooking for you" he let out

"You both just want me to gain weight," she said.

He laughed, "As long as you eat everything we make weight isn't a problem for us. We will still love you" he laughed.

"Oh My God, he laughing, I never thought he could do that"they heard some guests murmur.

Alex smiled bending towards Nathan, "I didn't know you couldn't smile".

He scoffed glaring at the group of guests behind them who turned away instantly the moment they noticed he was staring.

"Don't mind them, but, indeed, I don't smile... This is only for you" he said

Alex laughed, "Am honoured"

"Excuse me," one of the maids said.

They both turned, "Your father requests for both of your presence" he said.

"Okay," Nathan answered. When the waiter left Alex turned to him, "You have fed me a lot now I need to go to the washroom" she whispered.

"Let's go," he said.

"But father needs us, you go he and I will be with you shortly," she said.

He sighed, getting a maid to lead her to the washrooms he walked to his father.

.....

After being introduced to his important guests Alex and Nathan excused themselves from his father and his friends.

He led her to the upper balcony where they were fewer people.

She took a deep breath and smiled. Nathan got behind her holding her waist, his head resting on her shoulders. They gazed at the starry night, "I think I have been a good boy tonight, isn't it time I get that kiss" he whispered.

She giggled, "It's not even the end of the party and your asking for that".

"But we have been entertaining those guests for hours, it's time to get some alone time" he kissed her neck.

"Stop it someone might see us" she moved but Nathan pulled her back turning Alex to face him.

"Everyone here now knows who you are to me, so they won't mind," he said bending down to her face.

She stopped him with her palm in his face., "Can I have a tour of the house instead"

He sighed, "As you wish"

She smiled as he led them away.
