Kontrolu [2]

A few minutes ago...

"Surround the whole place; make sure to get rid of everyone in the Arena. Only Corrections Lieutenant Kontrolu should be left alive. Do you hear me?!"

"Yes, Corrections Sergeant Igor!"

The corrections corporals and officers had no choice but to agree. The breathy voice belonged to someone just one rank above them, respected only because of their connection to the Deputy Warden.

Igor continued in a bossy voice, "I am sure you all have your great stone weapons! Now, let's go!"

One officer argued, "Shouldn't we not be doing this? Killing prisoners is for the lieutenants, not a sergeant like you."

"Who said that?! Show yourself right now!" Igor's voice was filled with rage.

However, no one showed up to his command. Even if they did, he wouldn't see them. Thanks to the Deputy Warden's ability, all the prison officers below a lieutenant in rank were turned invisible.

This move was designed to give them the element of surprise if an inmate tried anything funny. They were even ordered to kill anyone they found displeasing.

However, the brown-eyed Igor, sometimes out of arrogance, would show himself to the inmates. This behavior led to him being feared by most prisoners, as he would even kill some of them for his own sadistic reasons. Currently, everyone could see his unkempt purple hair.

Furrowing his brows, he tried to ask, "Huh?! Didn't—!"

Bang—! Bang—! Bang—!

Three gunshots to the heart were all it took to silence him forever. He was killed in front of the Arena, and his death wouldn't be attributed to any of the correction officers. Many of the high-ranking officers despised him, so his demise held no significance.

With the sound of falling snow, the officers returned to their usual posts. Due to their inability to see each other, they were stationed in various locations around the prison.

Even though the officers were like ghosts, Tito had seen the whole scene. He had run away from his cellmates when he heard that everyone was going to be killed. He had come to get rid of the correction officers before they got rid of him. His only chance of escape was to flee from the Arena, but that would only delay his death by a day.

The low-rank officers' actions had worked in his favor. Be that as it may, he still had to dispose of Igor's bulky body. Leaving it at the arena entrance would only lead to them being suspects.

Tito decided to cut the man's body into 25 parts. Twenty-four of those parts ended up on the doors of each cell block. This would make the prison officers suspect all the prisoners, which would be pointless.

He kept the largest piece for himself, bringing us to the present.

Kont stared at the half head in the metal lunchbox for a few seconds without taking any action. This was indeed the person he had spent his childhood with, the only person he had ever called 'brother' with all his heart.

Memories of the good moments they shared together began to replay in his mind. Kont didn't want to see them, but they kept coming back like a yo-yo.

"Why...?" He weakly muttered, a tear escaping from his left eye.

The people around him might have thought he was talking to Tito, but he was questioning the recurring memories in his mind.

"You're a spy?!" Star and Tucky roared.

A blade was already hovering over Kont's head and his feet were firmly glued on the ground. The two individuals from his cell were determined not to let him escape.

He was only with them for four years, and they didn't even suspect him to be a spy. Thinking back on it, a lot of things changed after he arrived.

The other roommate started being a clean freak and was suddenly killed by Star. Never before had Star engaged in violent behavior with other prisoners.

Tucky might have suspected, but those were the works of jealousy. However, he was the first to attack.

"Ahhhh!" He roared with all his might and punched him, "How dare you do that to—!"

Her words froze as did her body. The three people watching this all looked at each other. Well, it was two; the third one was already rollicking out of the Arena.

Encender looked at the man beside her and asked in a flustered tone, "Should we continue to fight them? It looks like there's an internal dispute."

She thought he would agree, but he just shrugged her off. His eyes were witnessing something that would be bothersome to him.

"Die!" Star screamed with saliva coming out of his mouth.

He raised the blade hovering above Kont's head before bringing it back, but the purple-haired man just touched Star on his lap. The attack immediately halted its movements and pointed at Tito.

Encender quickly became on guard. Her enemies didn't change. Kont was somehow controlling them. She didn't want to mistakenly attack her friends.

"That is one terrifying power," Tito commented with a drop of sweat coming down his face.

Kont forced a smile with tears on his face, "Yes, the wielder crystal bugs are indeed amazing. I was bitten by the Cchio control mosquito. I gained the power to control the things I touch, in exchange for my nose increasing in size every time I lie."

"Wow!! That's so cool!" Encender exclaimed with stars in her eyes.

She was right in her own way. If such power ended up with a person like her and Rajah, there would be no side effect.

Tito remained indifferent to this news. He had already guessed it beforehand. All that matters is for people who are stronger than him not to get caught up in the control.

Kont paid no attention to them as he rose to his feet, flanked by his two human puppets. His goblin pendant was in place, and two additional wooden voodoo dolls, resembling an ogre, leaped from his pockets to the floor. All of their eyes emitted a red glow.

'I will let you know that for now, there is no need to tell you everything.'

He wiped off his tears and coldly stated, "Let me introduce myself. I am Corrections Lieutenant Kontrolu. I will punish you for the crime of killing Corrections Sergeant Igor."

Tito turned to look at the girl rushing to their aid, "Tsuyoi take Rajah and get out of here."

The sky-blue haired girl quickly became flustered, "Why don't you need Tsuyoi's help?! She is super strong, she can help too!"

As a failed product of the Wushu, Tsuyoi has always wanted to show her strength. However, this time her strength would be a disadvantage.

Tito coldly shouts, "If this guy touches you then it's game over! Your mental strength is weak! Facing you as an opponent would really be a pain in the butt! Even I can't beat you!"

The young lady clenched her teeth in frustration, 'Why is it always one of these guys who notices Tsuyoi's strength? It just stings so darn much.'

But, despite her pride, she had to admit, "Tsuyoi gets it! Please, don't let Lady Encender die, it's better if you die!"

"Wow, you're pretty smart," Kontrolu said with a smirk.

Suddenly, there was a cold vibe emanating from him that even the usually calm Tito couldn't ignore. It was hard to believe he had been bowing down to Star just a day before.

With a grim expression, he muttered, "It's all part of the plan."

Four years ago, Star had tried to escape from the prison, but the Warden caught him and eliminated everyone who helped him in his failed attempt.

Since then, the Deputy Warden had ordered Kontrolu to take out Star. If he ever managed to escape, it would cause major problems.

Just being the previous King's son was enough to make him a target among the twelve Princes.

Assigned under the name only recognized by his brother, Kontrolu was designated as Star's new cellmate.

Initially intended to carry out Star's execution, Kontrolu instead suggested utilizing Star's abilities to maintain order among the other inmates.

His proposal was met with disapproval from his brother, the individual who initially relayed the directive. Despite this disagreement, the Deputy Warden approved the plan, acknowledging the challenges posed by the troublesome inmates.

Subsequently, both Kontrolu and his brother received an unusual order from the Warden instructing them to orchestrate the demise of every individual within cell room 27F.

Using his ability to control people and emotions, together with his glib tongue, Kontrolu was able to manipulate Star into approaching Encender.

With foam flying from his mouth, Kontrolu bellows, "This is all part of the mission! Not one of you will make it out alive today."

As soon as his words got erased from existence, Tito leaped from where he stood, unleashing a blaze from his leg that swiftly reduced one of the wooden voodoo dolls to dust.

"Anything but ice and water is no match for my flames," he boasted.

But his cocky remark was cut short as he watched in disbelief as the ashes of the charred doll magically regenerated before his very eyes.

The long, big-nosed man laughed, "Hahahaha! As long as I'm alive, my creations will keep coming back to life!"
