MAX POV
I stood at the private hangar, Milan by my side, watching the jets as Armand paced back and forth, phone pressed tightly against his ear. His voice was low but tense as he spoke to Eli, assuring him, "We'll be back in Salt Lake City in forty-eight hours, no matter what." I could see the frustration building in him, the weight of everything he was carrying. His eyes closed for a moment, his jaw tight.
Sean appeared out of nowhere, walking over with his usual calm demeanor, placing a steady hand on Armand's shoulder. "We'll get through this," Sean murmured, his words aimed at grounding him, but I could tell Armand was not hearing it. The call disconnected abruptly, and Armand let out a sharp breath, as if he were trying to release the tension, but it was not working.
