betrayed

the doors opened to the emperor's chambers. a young dashing man looking no more than 20, sat on the chair at the middle of the room. he was handsome but there was coldness coming from him. he was indifferent towards everyone he saw. he never felt pity for the ones he killed, not even his father. his eyes filled with the lust to kill.

twilight came running into the chambers, eyes filled with tears. she looked like she cried for the whole night. she couldn't handle her emotions. she thought her brother would save her but she was wrong. he was just using her as a pawn to win the battle to become the emperor. after she was just a beautifull doll who was useless once the goal is achieved.

"brother, I only poisoned Jennette because of jealousy it was a misunderstanding l didn't actually mean it" twilight said. the room was quiet.

"are you trying to tell that you unintentionally tried to kill Jennette. everyone knows that duke Lucas loves her instead of you.." answered Daniel.

twilight pov

what! he was the one who encouraged me to poison Jennette and now he is accusing me. no way my dear brother whom I raised to success cannot deny me or will he.

"what do you mean Dan? are you saying I did it because of jealousy" said twilight.

"so what are you denying it every one now knows that you did it and now this happened you have brought shame to the imperial family. l have no other option than to punish you" Daniel said slowly taking out his sword.

twilight frightened by the gesture asked" what do you mean Daniel you are not going to kill your own sister are you"

"sorry sister but I have no choice" with that Daniel striked twilight with the sword. the floor was filled with blood. her eyes teary what felt wasn't sadness but anger. she was the one who made him the emperor how could he do this. after all she was his only family.

her body lie on the floor with her face still so beautiful.

"what should we do , his Majesty "one of the knights asked.

"dispose the body announce that the princess has run away from guilty. no one should know this"

the novel ended with that last sentence. I some how felt sad after that my life and the life twilight had was almost the same. maybe that's why I like this book. l too like twilight was used as a pawn in my life. l never realized it untill that time came.

l got this book as a gift from my mom. it's name was "the moon's twilight" it was a different world where magic existed. twilight's magic was very powerful but she was naive. she handed her magic to her brother whom she thought would help her but at the last betrayed her. would my life too come to a dreadfull end like this................................................
