The Wish

Gabriel Agreste fiddled with Adrien's ring examining it. Plagg was really angry, "What do you think you're doing? I need my cheese!" Gabriel scowled at him and put the ring in his pocket. "Keep quiet you annoying little kwami or I'll put you back in the ring where you belong!" Felix walked into the room where Gabriel was sitting and crossed his arms. "Uncle," He said trying to get his attention. "Hmm" Gabriel mumbled uninterestedly looking in a book. "Where did you take her?" Gabriel looked up at his curious nephew and knew what he wanted. "Why would I tell you Felix?" He said not looking up. "Because I want to be with her." Felix said sighing. "Pathetic," Gabriel muttered. "What did you call me?" Felix said angrily. "Leave this instant!" Gabriel demanded. Felix stomped out of the room and decided to do some investigating tomorrow.

The next morning Gabriel got up and headed down to the basement to check on his captives. He walked towards Emilie and transformed into Hawkmoth. He found Adrien and Marinette fast asleep. He had a plan and needed them both to be awake for it to work. Marinette woke with a start when Hawkmoth grabbed her shoulder. When she let out a shriek that is when Adrien stirred from his sleep and realized where he was. Hawkmoth untied Marinette and stood her up in front of him. "What are you doing?" She said with worry when he leaned in to whisper something in her ear. "Don't resist." He said forming an akuma. She shut her eyes as Hawkmoth placed a small box into her hand. Adrien struggled, "She doesn't deserve any of this! I'm the one who kept secrets from you so punish me!" Adrien said with tears running down his cheeks. Hawkmoth sneered at Adrien. "Oh, I am punishing you, by doing this," he said releasing the akuma into the box. Marinette clasped her head as she felt the control coming over her. "I won't do it! No!" She yelled as Hawkmoth's voice boomed in her head. "Yes, you will." He said clenching his fists causing Marinette to fall to the ground in pain. She let out a cry then went limp and under his control. "No!!!!" Adrien cried as she slowly stood up and Hawkmoth placed his hand on her shoulder. She transformed and now had a ladybug like suit but yet it was different and more disturbing. Her hair flowed in long locks and she looked up with a controlled look in her eyes. "Miraculous-catcher you will retrieve the Ladybug miraculous for me." Hawkmoth said. "Yes Hawkmoth." She said in a low voice and teleported away.

Tony sat in his office drinking coffee. The search wasn't going well, and they had no leads. Peter was staying over at the tower because he felt responsible for letting Marinette be taken away. Tikki was eating cookies that Tony had given her. They were all minding their own business when Marinette, now Miraculous-catcher, appeared in front of Tony. He jumped in his seat and she leaned over him. "Where are the miraculous?" She said with a butterfly signal over her eyes. She placed her finger on his nose and he backed away. "Marinette is that you?" He asked. "I am not Marinette anymore, I am Miraculous-catcher and I have come for my possession." Peter barged into the room and wrapped webs around her. "Hurry Mr. Stark!" he said holding onto his webs. She broke free of them and continued towards Tony. "You want these?" He said holding up the earrings. "Come and get 'em!" He said running away towards his Iron Man suit. She teleported in front of him and reached for the earrings successfully grabbing them and placing them in the box. "Great," Tony said sarcastically. He noticed Marinette was standing still not moving and found it to be odd. "Hey kid I can help you just let me find the object thingy I have to break." He remembered what Ladybug and Cat Noir had done earlier releasing a butterfly. He wasn't prepared for what seemed to be a voice speaking through her. "Don't even think about taking my akuma." She said with a scowl and then teleported away. Steve came running and Peter had been watching the scene from the side. "She's gone and obviously is being used by some maniacal supervillain." Tony said. "We did everything we could," Steve said placing his hand on Tony's shoulder.

Back at the Agreste Mansion Adrien watched his father command Marinette to fight and then she returned holding out the box in her hand. Hawkmoth approached and took the earrings with delight. "I don't need you anymore." He said to Marinette snapping his fingers and the akuma left her. She collapsed on the ground and laid back closing her eyes. Hawkmoth de-transformed and called for Nathalie. She arrived and he pulled out both of the miraculous. "Father no! Don't do it!" Adrien shouted. "Don't you want to be happy again? You will have your mother back." "What about her?!" Adrien said nodding his head towards Marinette. "You ripped her from her family and friends and used her against her will." He said. Gabriel looked down at Marinette with what seemed to be compassion. "She was merely in my way." He said in a low voice. Gabriel walked over to Adrien and untied him. Adrien ran to Marinette and sat next to her. His father was about to make his wish and he wanted her to be safe. Gabriel pulled out the ring and the earrings, which now were clip ons, and put them on. "Claws out! Tikki, Plagg unify!" He said transforming into a powerful looking being. He was lifted high into the sky and his eyes turned white. "Unlimited power!" He screamed out dramatically. A surge of energy pulsed through the room throwing everyone back from where they were. "I wish that Emilie will wake up!" He said. There was a huge flash of light and then everything was back to normal and Gabriel floated to the ground de-transforming. He looked at Emilie with hope in his eyes and then her eyes fluttered open. "Where am I?" She said rubbing her eyes. "Emilie!" Gabriel said with emotion and brought her into a hug.
