"No, you don't. My name is Adrien. I'm a transferred student, actually, this is my first day," he explained while nervously running his hand through his hair.
"Oh, nice to meet you. My name is Ember, and I'm new here too," Ember replied with a soft smile.
"Can I sit next to you?" Adrien asked.
"You can sit in the next one; this is already occupied," Ember replied.
"Okay, can I ask who that person is?" Adrien inquired as he took a seat next to Ember.
"That person is me," Emir said, looking at Adrien with a cold gaze.
"Emir!" Ember exclaimed, trying to divert his attention. His icy stare sent chills down her spine.
Emir ignored Adrien and expressed concern, saying, "Why are you taking so much if you're not feeling comfortable?" He handed a water bottle to Ember. "Drink some water first." They both didn't notice that Adrien had left his seat.
As the class began, the lecturer said, "Good morning, everyone. I would like to introduce your new classmate, Adrien." When Adrien entered, the entire class became noisy, with girls complimenting his looks.
"Adrien, introduce yourself," the teacher instructed.
"Good morning, all. I am Adrien. I am from Paris, here to explore Chinese culture. I hope we can be friends from now on," he said, his eyes fixed on Ember, a detail that didn't escape Emir's notice.
"So, Adrien, go to your seat, and let's start the class," the teacher directed.
As Adrien took steps closer to his seat, the atmosphere grew denser for Ember. He sat next to her and said, "Hey, Ember, I'm back," with a soft smile. The eyes of Emir and Adrien met and remained locked, making Ember even more uncomfortable. "Hey, both of you, focus on the class," Ember said, realizing the awkward situation she was in. The entire class was watching her, sandwiched between two handsome guys. "God, please help me," she thought, feeling overwhelmed. "Ugh!"
