Chapter 5

“It took you very long,” Daksh asked me as I entered the office.

“Very long indeed,” I replied as I collapsed beside him in a chair. He smiled and my face automatically reciprocated it. I do love this man and to my deepest core.

“What happened? You look so red and flustered,” he asked noticing and his words reminded me of why I came back to the office so urgently.

“I need to find Rohit. Very urgent,” and I left desperately.

I had another long discussion with Rohit and his boss Arup, where I told them everything, except of course the ‘sex’tra-curricular activities. They both were shocked and irritated but Shaun was right about one thing, he was paying five million dollars (which roughly translates to Thirty Crores rupees) to India alone, if he wanted two years bond then he would get it.

Rohit and Arup dismissed me saying they will handle it on their own. I knew they did not want me to be the key point of contact or the business partner of the Malani account and they were right. I was too young and immature for such a responsibility, but it would have meant at least two promotions. They could not make a mere manager a business partner; it had to be a director. The thought gave me butterflies but another thought gave me dragons – trip to Australia.

At home, I informed Daksh about the recent developments and he could not be happier. I was so lucky to have such a mature and secure husband.

“I think Shaun is trying to seduce me,” I spoke and it caught Daksh’s attention.

“You sure?” and the moment where he shoved me into the wall and teased me with his lips flashed in front of my eyes.

“Pretty sure!” I exhaled trying to dismiss the image. Deep down I wanted to tell Daksh about what happened in his office but couldn’t dare.

He started to ask something but the thought of Shaun aroused me. Suddenly Simi’s words echoed in my ears: ‘climb him like a tree’.

“Instead of talking, why don’t we do something interesting?” I asked climbing into his lap. He was playing on his phone, which he didn’t drop. I bent down to kiss him and although he kissed me back, it was just for a second and there was no spark. I tried massaging his chest but nothing happened. I kissed his shoulder, nothing happened. After ten minutes of foreplay, nothing happened.

“What the hell?” I barked as I jumped back straight up.

“Sorry, you caught me off guard. Tonight, I will be ready,” he begged and my anger crossed all barriers. Shaun, who just touched his lips against mine for a moment took more than thirty minutes to calm down his erection and here my husband – nada!

“Maybe I should go to Australia,” I barked angrily.

Of course, he didn’t know the context. Thankfully, he didn’t know the context. Shocked, he asked, “What Australia?”

“Shaun offered me to accompany him to Australia, you know as the business partner,” I replied angrily.

“Of course, you should go. Wonderful opportunity, just stay in separate rooms,” he spoke gently nibbling at my ears.

“We’ll see,” I barked as I stormed out of the room.
