Days later, on a bench at the edge of the school sport field, Jennie was sitting perfectly straight immersed in her thoughts. The green trees shielded her from most of the sunlight casting shadows on her face that emphasizes her vividness and cuteness, beside her was her backpack.
With sullen expression, Jennie gaze into her phone and put it away lowering her head, her elbows were resting on her thighs.
Jennie sat on the bench she felt alot better this days and the splitting headache was long gone, the hangover soup really worked.
It was revealed the mysterious boy who helped her home was always this same knight in shining armor. Jennie is the type who doesn't like to be indebted to others, the boy had helped her enough she wanted to repay him, actually isn't inconducive if they were even.
That explained why she was sitting on a bench in the school sport field waiting for him.
With the help of Evie she was able to get his WeChat number and after chatting him up, they both agreed to meet here after school ends.
Jennie sensed someone approaching thus she looked sideway, she caught a figure she was acquainted with, she suddenly felt nervous it's weird Why it always race, why does it beats really fast, to be honest, a glimpse of him could make her heart accelerated.
Racing heart is a minor she'll give it some time to figure out.
This beauty and aloofness is what a poet should write about it's definitely out of this world.
The boy in his uniform strode over and soon he neared her, he dressed formally, he even used the tie and jacket but just that he wasn't In his trouser but shorts, she stiffen but quick to avert her gaze and hung down her head looking at her fingers, no matter how much you looked she looked flustered, bit redness could be detected on her face.
She heard the youth clear and straightforward voice "Why didn't you look at me? Shy?"
He took a seat but still maintained few gaps away from her blowing air at the invisible dust on his left palm.
Jennie was prickled by the word 'shy' that she quickly lifted up her head with an expression as if she was embarrassed, their gazes locked, the pair of golden eyes stared right into her lustrous black irises
"Hey?" he said waving his hands seeing she wasn't paying attention anymore. He looked at her slightly flushed face and he felt as if he just won a lottery, he couldn't hide the smile on his lips revealing his set of white tooth.
"Shy? I'm not! And why should I?" She couldn't help asking but her expression betrayed her, she was very transparent to the other person simply because she was just too easy to read.
"I'm curious as well, or maybe I'm just too good looking" he stated, licked his dry lips before dipping his hand into his pockets and brought out a candy, he unwrapped it and stuff it into Jennie mouth. She wasn't giving the chance to reject it, it came too sudden which aroused suspicion within her because she was certain he did it knowingly.
She was petrified for some seconds but Blake simply brought out another one, unwrapped it and stuffed it into his mouth and said "Taste right isn't it?"
Jennie on an impulse sat her backpack that was originally beside her on her thighs before nodding But still said " Yes but...." She was cut off by Blake who looked as if he did nothing and asked with raised eyebrows "But what?"
For some unknown reason she was unable to complete her words and said instead. "I wanted to thank you, sincerely I appreciate every bit of what you've done for me, if it wasn't for you the other night maybe something definitely might have happened to me, I want to take this medium to express my gratitude and also asked how I could pay you back."
But at that moment Blake wasn't listening to her, his mind was full of different fantasies, even her moist lips could cause his blood to boil and his heart to surge. Hurriedly retracting his gaze, Blake swallowed and suppressed his restless and brutish nature before recovering.
"What did you just say?" He asked. His voice softened and his gaze was unusually calm as a millpond.
She swallowed, her eyelashes flattered uncontrollably, she couldn't believe all what she has been saying actually fell on deaf ears! was she taking for a fool!
A pissed expression flashed on her face but quick to disappeared like it wasn't even there to begin with, she couldn't help feeling mad, does he think she was joking around that he thought all he could do was to irritate her intentionally.
Blake who noticed her sudden changed and strange expression already know she misinterpreted him thus he explained heartily"I really didn't hear, seriously, I zoned out can you please repeat what you just said"
So that was it, Jennie glanced around before repeating exactly what she said previously.
"If you wanted to express your gratitude, or payback profoundly then..." He gazed at her, surging some nervousness within Jennie who gripped hard on her backpack while waiting in anticipation for him to complete his statement but it never happened so she asked instead but impatiently "what? How do I pay you back"
"Go out with me" he simply said.
Jennie was surprised, how much of a pervert is he? She only blurted " You flirting aren't you?"
He looked serious all of a sudden "Why should I?, obvious I meant what I said, i bet you could see through my expression if I put on a facade, back then at the restroom a beauty like you isn't what you come by everyday, but the more I get to see and know you the more curious I became, I might be overbearing and all but never will I treat you bad or let you be bullied,"
Jennie frowned and said "You barely know me, contrarily this might be infatuation" she clutched but her grip on the bag kept increasing. She looked more like a boiled lobster.
Isn't going out with him the same as asking her out? This guy was something else's I mean who go out with girls they barely know this days? Here she was thinking maybe he was helping because of good will but she couldn't have thought he was interested in her.
"Give it a chance trust me you wouldn't regret it, but if you're confused and you refused me I won't let go, I'll pursue you till you're finally mine" she heard him said, his gaze was unwavering and the sincerity could be detected in his words.
Jennie was flustered it's strange having a boy proposing a relationship to her, moreover she hasn't been in that kind relationship. She was a complete amateur in this aspect, she could only stood up and do what her instincts kept screaming at her.. Run!
