Trapped in his arms

*Knock* "Come in" Alice heard Xander say before she walked into the bedroom. She found him sitting on the couch wearing a simple t-shirt and a pair of black jeans. When he rose his head to see who it was, she saw how red his eyes were, like a blood moon and his face still showed no emotions. " What is it" he asked calmly. " I-i just wanted to th- thank you for saving me yesterday" she said feeling intimidated by his facial expression. "It's fine" he said placing his palms on his face looking quiet restless which made her think that he was just tired so she decided to leave him alone to rest. She opened the door and was about stepping out but the doors suddenly closed shut and Xander's arms were found placed on the door, but before she could say anything, he picked her up and tossed her on his bed. An hour later, Alice was found laying on the floor, her clothes had been ripped to shreds and the bed covers were covered with blood. She just lay there crying non stop before finally getting up, wrapping a towel around herself, and limped out of the room. Getting to her room, she sat on the floor and cried herself to sleep. Follow Alice as her life takes a turn after she lands a job at the company of the cold hearted C.E.O. Could this be a good turn or her worst nightmare.

chapter 8. Thank you

"Let her go, Aiden," Alex commanded, his voice cold and menacing.

"Stay out of this, Alex."

Aiden refused, but Alex pulled Alice with a light force, close, his arm around her shoulder. Suddenly, Stacy appeared.

"What's going on" she asked, confused, but Alex walked past her with Alice by his side.

The next day, Alice welcomed the distraction of shopping with Stacy, grateful that Aiden was absent, tied up with urgent work. As they strolled through the bustling streets, Stacy's lively chatter and the warm sunshine helped Alice shake off the lingering fear from the previous night's encounter.

But as the evening drew in, Alice's thoughts returned to Alex, and the debt of gratitude she owed him. She made her way to his bedroom, her heart beating slightly faster with each step.

_Knock_

"Enter," Alex's deep voice called out, sending a shiver down Alice's spine.

As she stepped into the bedroom, she was met with an unsettling sight: Alex sat on the couch, his eyes glowing like embers from a fiery pit. His face, a mask of stone, revealed no hint of emotion.

"What is it?" he asked, his calm tone a stark contrast to the turmoil brewing beneath.

Alice's voice trembled. "I-I just wanted to th-thank you for saving me yesterday."

Alex's gaze seemed to bore into her soul, making her skin crawl. He placed his palms on his face, his eyes flashing with a hint of anguish, and for a moment, Alice thought she saw a glimmer of humanity. But it was quickly extinguished, leaving her feeling uneasy.

Without warning, the doors slammed shut, and Alex's arms caged her in. Before she could react, he swept her off her feet and tossed her onto the bed like a rag doll. His actions fueled by a dark intensity.

"S-sir don't."

An hour later, Alice lay on the floor, her clothes ripped, the bed covers bloody. She cried uncontrollably, her body trembling with fear. Wrapping a towel around herself, she limped out of the room.

In her own room, she collapsed onto the floor, surrendering to her tears, and cried herself to sleep, haunted by the memory of Alex's fiery eyes.

The next morning, Alex woke up with a headache. While taking a shower, memories of the previous night flooding back as. He rushed to Alice's room, but she was gone, having left for work in a cab, so he hurriedly picked up his stuff and left the mansion.
