Lucas's sea-blue eyes look at me repeatedly as if making sure I'm not a mirage. I see that he has been crying, and it is clear that he has been worried about me. Everything that happened felt like an eternity, but it was only a few hours. /"Please tell me that you are okay, that nothing has happened to you or the baby,/" he asks, holding my face with delicacy.
/"We're fine. Alejandro and his team have arrived in time to rescue me,/" I explain and look at Alejandro, standing a few meters behind Lucas.
/"Thank you,/" Lucas says and turns to see him, /"I owe you her and our son life,/" he continues to say, and seeing him so moved makes me know that everything he feels for me is too strong, just like what I feel for him.
