" You really are amazing you know that Ekko." Ahri suddenly said surprising Ekko but he shook his head and replied.
"I'm not as amazing as you, you're the professional here not me...hey, you don't have to answer if you don't want to but when we were talking before, it sounded like you were doing pretty well for yourself when you were going solo...
So why stop your singing carer to create a band." Ekko asked and Ahri smiled while looking down at the can she was now clasping in her hands.
" I...I had become a pretty famous singer ranking up a few million fans over the years after my debut as a solo artist, but I didn't feel that things were right as they were.
I didn't feel any satisfaction or fulfillment being a solo artist or performing on my own.
That's when I had a eureka moment.
If I didn't like being a solo artist why couldn't I make my own little group? Kpop isn't as known or as popular but I saw the potential it had.
And so I decided to retire from my solo career and after five years of struggling and practicing, I was finally able to find the people I wanted to debut with.
There was me of course the lead vocalist, Akali the famous underground rapper, I found her in a viral YouTube video. Then there's Kai'sa the lead dancer and group choreographer, we met on my trip to Angola.
And lastly Evelyn the diva, an old friend of mine and also the lead singer, she believed in my dream and wanted to support me in it.
I had everything I needed for K/da's debut...
Except for one thing and probably the most important, the song my group was going to debut with.
For the past few months, I have been trying to write a song that could show everyone's personality, talent, and charisma, but I came short every time. No matter what I wrote I just couldn't see the wow factor in it.
I felt something was missing...that was until I...I met you, I dont think you remember me but we met in a park a few weeks ago, when you played that guitar, it inspired me, my dream was to bring my group to the very top of music, to leave our mark on the world.
And in those four hours that we worked together, I really felt like I could really do it...I hope that answers your question Ekko."
Ahri said with a smile as she stared into Ekko's amethyst eyes with her own ocean-blue eyes.
" It answered my question and then some, I hope you're dream comes true someday Ahri, I really do." Ekko said and Ahri smiled thanking him for his support before kicking her feet up so they were on the seat.
She then wrapped her arms around her knees and asked." So...what about you."
" Huh! what about me." Ekko asked confused.
" Don't play dumb, I told you my dream so tell me yours, it's only fair after all." Ahri said and Ekko could only respond with an awkward smile.
" My dream huh...I guess my dream is just to live life, have some fun, and...yeah that's it I guess..."
Ahri looked at Ekko speechlessly." Really that's your dream, not to be rude Ekko but that isn't a dream after all aren't you basically doing that every day, that's just living your life.
Come on you must have something you've always wanted to be, or aspired to do, like being a policeman or winning a nobel prize..."
" I don't know what to tell you Ahri...I've never really needed a dream, after all, I..."
' I've always put others' needs before my own, even when I was alive in my previous world, I focused on surviving and making sure that the kids at the orphanage wouldn't go hungry or worse.
I had no time for dreams or aspirations, those kids were my priority...but, now that I'm gone I at least know with the money I left behind in my will that those kids would be alright without me.
And ever since I've come to this world I've only been following tasks the system has given me, or just living life not really aspiring to be...well anything.'
Then it dawned on Ekko, he was free, he didn't need to worry about the kids anymore, and he didn't need to worry about whether he would be able to eat the next day or not.
But now knowing this, what was his dream, did he really just want to go through life doing basically nothing, no he didn't want that but then what did he truly want?
Ahri who noticed Ekko's silence looked at him with confusion and even called out to him but she received no reply. That's when she looked into his eyes and her face contorted into one of realization.
She knew what Ekko was thinking just by looking into his eyes, she knew because that's the same look she used to make five years ago before she finally found her dream.
Ahri didn't know why but her body suddenly moved on its own and she stood over Ekko before bringing her hands together and slapping both of Ekko's cheeks in between her hands.
Felling Ahri's hands on his face woke Ekko up from his daze and he felt Ahri tilt his head up to look at her.
" You don't have a dream...do you Ekko, well I know this may not be the best time to ask, and you have every right to refuse if you want but I'm going to ask anyway.
Ekko, would you help me...no would you help us, me, Evelyn, Kai'sa, and Akali in making our song for our debut and to continue being our song producer until we show this world what we're made of?
And while you help us in our goals, you can think of what you really want to do with your life, and when that day comes, if you're dreams crashes with helping K/da's I will happily let you go...
So what do you say...will you help us, Ekko."
Ahri finished her little speech and she stared straight into Ekko's eyes with unwavering determination, and Ekko was actually moved by her words and was seriously considering accepting.
After two minutes of the duo staying silent Ahri thought that Ekko was possibly trying to find the right words to reject her offer.
And just as she was going to take her hands away from Ekko's face, he replied.
" There's still a lot I don't know about show business, but if you want me that bad I guess I can accept...I'll become K/da's producer from now on.
" I understand, I brought it up to...wait did you just say you accept."
Ekko nodded and Ahri's face which was full of disappointment a moment ago immediately lit up and she suddenly lunged at Ekko bringing him into an intimate hug.
" THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, WOOOOOOO!!!." Ahri cheered in clear happiness, and Ekko couldn't help but laugh at how childish she was behaving.
