After waiting a moment, Liam looked around the lounge to see where Jack was.
However, he was the only one in there. He sighed and sat up thoughtfully.
He loved this place and considered it their nest but dreaded staying here. This apartment was a gift from Jack's father. Liam admired Jack as a bright and intelligent boy who solemnly paved the way for himself into the higher class of this city. His father's family was regarded as a nouveau riche, and his powerless mother was a thrown-out stepdaughter of a prestigious household. Jack got admission into one of the famous middle schools with great effort. That's why his dad took such pride in him and gave him this place in the best neighbourhood and worth out of the ordinary. It consisted of a two-storey area with bedrooms on the second floor.
The interior design was plain yet tasteful. He stood up and climbed up worriedly.
'I gave it away, didn't I?'
He shook his head while rebuking himself. His gut told him he ruined the whole thing with his behaviour.
He stopped outside Jack's bedroom.
'What am l supposed to say? The situation is, frankly, a disaster. He has every right to hate me.'
His dad ruined his life by destroying his chance of romantically chasing Jack.
He knocked on the door, trying to turn the knob, but it was locked. He spoke nervously.
"Jack, please open the door. Honestly, It's not what you think. I didn't know my dad was a piece of garbage. Please."
Meanwhile, Jack was deep in thought in the bedroom, trying to devise a plan to keep his mother and Jakubians in line and get revenge on them. The problem was which way was the most painful. ' Didn't he have a soft spot for his kid? If I break Liam, would he lose his mind?'
He lost his train of thought at a knocking sound. His feeling toward Liam was complicated. Until yesterday, he considered him his best friend and a good brother he never had, but now he felt betrayed. All of them excluded him from their lives. He was full of anger and had nowhere to vent it.
He took his mobile and asked his assistant to find the best attorney as soon as possible.
Liam didn't get any response from Jack. His mind went wild. He was scared of Jack doing something drastic. His state of mind earlier didn't look normal. He furiously knocked on the closed door.
" Jack, open the door. I know you are upset but Screw them. You still have me. I promise to stay with you for the rest of my life. Okay? I do everything in my power to make you happy. Please, I am begging you. "
Liam's voice cracked, trying to contain his cries devastatingly.
Jack blew a fuse When he heard his speech. ' Didn't you fear me? Didn't you want to leave me and have my mother all to yourself? Why are you lying? I will show you what would happen if you cross me.'
He unlocked the door and asked him while gritting his teeth.
" you would do anything?"
Liam nodded his head like the chicken.
Jack took his hand and dragged him into the room.
The door shut down with a bang.
Liam was thrown on the bed, face down, his hands seized, and his body dug deep into the mattress by the weight of Jack's torso. Before he could protest, a burning pain suddenly caused his breathing to cease. Jack had bitten his neck brutally. He even reeked of blood. His head got fuzzy because of the pain. Jack put his hand around Liam's neck. " How about being my slave?"
Liam trembled under him.
Jack stopped and got out of bed.
"I'm not going to force you. You said it yourself you would do anything. If you don't like it, you can go now. But we're going to sever our relationship."
Liam clutched the sheet with dread. He recognised his feelings for Jack a year ago. However, watching his dignity crumbled by his crush would be the definition of torture.
'the son shall not bear the sins of the father.' Liam recalled it ironically. In his case, he should take full responsibility! He was the only one who knew Jack's vengeance fully because He saw it firsthand multiple times.
The consequences of fighting with Jack would be disastrous. His father didn't imagine that he was tickling the sleeping dragon's tail.
Liam believed he had to accept his fate to survive.
"I can tolerate it all if you forgive me."
His reply was the beginning of his daily life filled with turmoil.
The present time:
Liam woke up depressed. He sighed helplessly. There was no love and care in their entanglement. His body ached like hell, and he could not move one inch of it. Yesterday after coming here, Jack ordered him to clean every part of the apartment. It wasn't that he was weak or lazy. The problem was that after tidying up a room, Jack would come and dirty it again. Liam had to do the job multiple times. He did his best to dance to Jack's tune all this time. What the hell did he have instead? Jack's attempt to approach Desmond was too painful for him.
"I had paid enough for my father's sinfulness. The time has come to end this toxic relationship between us."
He plucked up his courage to move forward with his decision. He lifted his fist into the air. "I can do it." The sudden motion aggravated his tired muscles.
"ow ow, hurts so much..."
On the first floor, Jack was enjoying his morning coffee and strolling down on his phone. He found Edwin's number in his contact lists. He was wondering whether to call or text him when he got a message from Liam.
"Let's be done with this."
Surprisingly, this did not give rise to any emotion in him. Liam was a worn chess piece that had lost its practicality to him. If he intended to associate with Edwin, it was a wise decision to cut ties with Jakubians.
Following Liam's aggressive response to Desmond, he called for an immediate investigation into the case.
Liam concealing his mother's origin resulted in His unreasonable behaviour last night.
He had Jakubians in his hand for quite a while now, and he got rid of his mother and that bastard child by relocating them to a rural town near the borders. In exchange for letting off Liam's father's adultery and not pursuing him for legal action, his mother volunteered to go there to recuperate from childbearing.
It was funny to see their looks when his lawyer explained that a law for infidelity in this city could sentence them to jail for up to 3 years. Their child's evidence was as good as a nail in their coffin. It was uncommon to resort to this law, therefore, the cause of their ignorance. Both were born into prestigious families and would lose more than a bit of money. They made a grave mistake to think of him as a mere child.
God bless his ignorant father; he was still in the dark. After his grandfather retired, Jack took over most of the power in their family. He replied indifferently.
" Okay. Pack your stuff and leave until tomorrow."
