I don't need anyone to protect me..

Jun still can't believe all what he heard,how come Mei Zhen,the woman he had love from childhood turns out to be the real villain?he thought as he settled down in his chamber before being distracted by eunuch Li

"I've been waiting for you," said Eunuch Li worriedly

"And I'm back," said Jun rudely as he proceeded and sat on his chair drifting back to his thoughts

"What are you thinking about your highness?"the voice,Eunuch Li asked again bringing him back to reality

"Nothing!Can you just leave me alone in peace?"Yelled Jun angrily

Just then,a guard rushed in with news

"Your highness,consort Yang chamber is being attacked by assassin's,"said the guard

"What? exclaimed Jun as he stormed out of his mansion all the way to Mei lien quarters

Luli can be seen fighting with the guards while other guards were also fighting.Mei lien can be seen hiding in one corner trembling with fear

"How come Luli knows how to fight?"Juan doesn't know how to,she can't be Juan then,she only has her look,"Mei lien thought but was soon held by Jun who appeared in front of her

"Are you okay?" asked Jun with a worried expression

"I'm good,but Luli,please help her," said Mei lien

"I will,"Find a way to escape with your lady," said Jun to Jing who nodded in affirmation

Jun is out fighting with the help of Gang and Luli

"You shouldn't have shown your skills in front of Mei lien," said Jun to luli

"We would be dead by now if I don't," said Luli

"Well-done though",said Jun as they all kept fighting

Meanwhile Jing and Mei lien were trying to escape as they struggle finding their way out of the quarter.Just then an assassin was about stabbing Mei lien but Luli was fast in blocking the sword as she was stabbed instead in her stomach

"Luli!!! Mei lien screamed as tears rolled down her eyes

She grabbed Luli by her hand before falling to the ground

"You're such an idiot,"said Mei lien crying profusely

"I'm sorry my lady, I'm sorry I won't be able to protect you any longer," said Luli wincing In pain with tears rolling down her cheek

"Please stay with me Luli,my Juan,"said Mei lien tearfully as Luli gave up the ghost

Jun and Gang were soon done fighting,as Jun knelt beside Mei lien

"I'm sorry,"said Jun trying to hug her but was soon pushed away

"Get lost,get the hell away from me,"Mei lien screamed as she held Luli close to her chest

"She's a brave and honest servant,she was sincere with you even till the end, I'm sorry for your loss," said Jun as he ordered Gang to take luli away from Mei lien

"We have to get out of here, it's not safe for you," said Jun as he tried to take Mei lien with her

"I'm not going anywhere,"said Mei lien tearfully

"I'm sorry but I have to get you out of here," said Jun as he carried mei lien all the way to his quarters

Now at Jun's room,Mei lien was dropped on the bed as Jing was ordered to take good care of her

"It's okay my lady,we have to remain strong," said Jing sadly

"Luli is gone! My Juan is gone too,I won't be able to see her face throughout the remaining trial," said Mei lien tearfully as she continue drinking wine till she was drunk while Jing couldn't understand what she's saying

Jun came to his chamber that night to check up on Mei lien and saw the bad state she's in and so asked Jing to leave that he'll take over from there .

"You can go now, I'll take care of her," said Jun with a sad expression

"Yes your highness," replied Jing with a bow as she made an exit

"I'm sorry,I'll protect you from now on,i promise,"said Jun while laying her on his bed and covered her with a blanket before making an exit

The next day,Mei lien woke up only to find herself on Jin's bed

"What am I doing here,"asked Mei lien as she examined herself

"Good morning my lady,"greeted Jing carrying a basin of water to wash Mei lien face

"Where are we?"And where's Luli?" asked Mei lien as she looked around the room searching for Luli

"My lady! Jing called tearfully as she sat beside Mei lien to cuddle her

"Oh...i forgot, she had left us,I failed to protect her," said Mei lien sadly

"You will be fine my lady,his highness will protect you," said Jing

"I don't need anyone one to protect me, "When are we going back to my quarters?" Asked Mei lien with a serious expression

"I don't know,only his highness know that," said Jing

"What," Dress me up,I want to see his highness,"said Mei lien as Jing complied

Jun can be seen sorting out some official documents but was soon startled by Mei lien who appeared leaning beside the wall without saying a word

"Oh my..you scared me," said Jun frightened

"I'm sorry but when am I going back to my chamber?"I have to burn incense for Luli alone,said Mei lien as she got closer to Jun waiting for his reply

"I'm sorry about Luli, she's been buried outside the palace gate as she can't be buried inside the palace because she's a maid,"Believe me,I gave her a proper burial," Said Jun sadly

"Thank you your highness,when can we go then?" Asked Mei lien with tears rolling down her cheek

"Do you want us to go now?"I can take you there now if you want," said Jun

"Yes,I would love to go now," replied Mei lien

Alright then, Let's go," Said Jun as he grabbed Mei lien by her hand leading her out all the way to the capital city
