"Young miss, please lift up your arm so that I could remove your shirt. I request young miss to not wear this shirt anymore". Obediently, Akira lifted up her arms while her new maid, Clara removed her 'old' shirt. It wasn't old, but probably old for 'rich' household.
It's been three days and now Akari somewhat understood her situation but she was also confused with her new identity (she's always confused). Apparently the unknown duke was the 'young miss' father (now her's). He's the Duke of Lennox kingdom (which she never heard of). So yeah, as the duke, he's very, very, very rich.
From her perspective, Akira understood that the Duke and the 'young miss' had a very good relationship. The duke would usually visit her room and carry her out for breakfast, lunch and also dinner (to the point that he's unwilling to put her down). He would also bring her expensive gifts and ornaments of precious jewels (which she never saw in her life). Akira was very bewildered of the world she was living in.
The world seems different, like -very different. The previous day, she saw an orange cat turning into a butler. It was really astounding to witness a cat turning into a human (human? Cat? now she's not sure what she saw). Looking at her new maid, she wondered whether she could do the same. Can you imagine someone giving you a maid as a gift? That's what the Duke (her father) did. He gave her Clara as a gift.
"Young miss, do you want to visit the Duke?" Clara asked with an expressionless face. She didn't know what happened for the 'young miss', but she was really grateful to the unknown kidnapper. The 'young miss' was now sensible and more obedient than the previous one. If she got a chance, then she would really appreciate the kidnapper who kidnapped the 'young miss'. Akira gave her maid a dead-panned expression. Why would she want to visit the Duke? Even though he's the 'young miss' father, she wasn't his 'real' daughter. Even so, she had already met him during breakfast, why would she need to meet him again?
She shook her head in denial. She doesn't wants to meet the Duke. He's too clingy. She would like to go the library (if the mansion had one). She stared at Clara, who was looking at her with an expressionless face. Akari really doubted whether her maid was wearing an expressionless mask. Doesn't she feel tired of having the same expression?
"Young miss?", Clara called out again. Akari snapped out of her thoughts and asked with her lucid round eyes, "Can I go to the library?". She wanted to know what kind of world is she living in? Also how did the cat turned into a human? She would like to try it too. Clara looked at her young miss and paused for a moment. She never saw the 'young miss' nor any of the Elmstone members visiting the library. Though, she can refuse the 'young miss' request, she also didn't had the heart to say no.
She reluctant hummed. Seeing her young miss's eyes brightening up in delight, her lips twitched. The 'young miss' is so easy to please. It wouldn't be hard to make her hapy within seconds. Though she was slightly annoyed of the recent rumours, she didn't care about it. The 'young miss' was totally different from the rumours. She needs to talk with the duke about this matter.
Clara held the young miss's hand and led her to the Elmstone Library. She made sure that her steps were short and slow, accompanying the young miss's foot steps. The 'young miss' was only seven, so she should be extra careful. Akira let out an inaudible sigh. She was tired, but she didn't want to trouble Clara. She needs to learn how to walk for two hours straight, or else how was she going to walk after she turned 10?
["It's all Yumi's fault for causing Akari to walk after 2 years!" Akari's mother once scolded Yumi for always carrying Akari. With Yumi and Hana carrying Akari repeatedly from child birth, the poor little baby was only able to walk after two years, which resulted in her laziness to walk and her brother Yoshida to constantly carry her] So, Akari decided to step up her game. She needed to use her energy and learn to walk for atleast two hours straight, or else she'll be far worse than before.
When Clara reached the library, Akira was almost losing her strength. Seeing the extravagant door, Akira immediately pulled her hand away from her caretaker's hand and rushed forward. She pressed her hand against the door and pushed it. Unsurprisingly, the door didn't open. Akari stepped back and pouted unhappily. Her puffed cheeks and knitted brows made Clara to twitch her brows. She went forward and said, "let me". Akira curiously looked at Clara. Seeing the speckles of green particles around Clara' palm, her eyes widened in surprise and curiosity. Is that..... Magic?!
Clara placed her palm on the door and closed her eyes, "I request thee Lord.."-lord who? "to let this lowly servant of Elmstone to enter in thy magnificent chamber". To Clara's humble request, the extravagantly carved door opened up and revealed the magnificent bookshelves of various colours. Akira was so excited that she wanted to screamed her lungs out, but she immediately pinched her palms, this was usually done to hide her excitement for things.
Before Clara could invite her young miss in, Akira immediately dashed into the library, seems like her excitement was not easy to control. Seeing this, Clara could only sigh. The young miss seems was more energetic and happy than staying with the Duke. If duke Cyril heard this, then he'll surely be heartbroken.
-Time skip to two hours-
Akira was currently on the second floor of the library, laying down near one of the bookshelves in her little camp of cushions and comforters. She was able to convince Clara to build up a tent out of the blankets and a fort of pillows. Though Clara ruthlessly rejected, Akira was able to plead for one hour straight. Clara tightly pursed her lips and reluctantlg complied to the 'young miss' request. If anyone saw the 'young miss' in this state, then their eyes would pop out of their sockets. No one, like no one would believe that the 'young miss' of Elmstone, laying on the floor with blankets and pillows around her. They wouldn't even imagine it!
Even though she had figure it out, Akari was really surprised that she had transmigrated into some kind of magical world. According to the information she had read from the books around her, the continent was divided into several kingdoms with different races, like- Vampires, humans, elves, mermaids, dragons, Werewolves, witches, beastmen, orc, goblins and what nots.
So far, only three wars emerged in between the various kingdoms. The Twilight I: between mermaid, werewolves, orcs and goblins. Unsurprisingly the war was started by the orcs and goblin. They wanted the mermaids blood, because it was really precious and the orcs and globins wanted it. The mermaid kingdom was enraged of the audacity of the orc kingdom. They went to their nearest ally, which were the werewolves. The mermaid kingdom and werewolves signed a agreement of peace and large benefits among each other. The Twilight I war lasted for five years. The orcs and goblins weren't willing to give up, so they didn't back away. Even though the orcs had millions of soldiers, werewolves and mermaids were far stronger than them, so they lost the war at the end of the 5th year. The war caused the rapidly depletion of orcs, resulting in a endangered amount of the race. Knowing this, the orcs reluctantly stopped the war. The orcs land lost its nutritional values and also the fresh environment. It was a depressing sight to behold the remains of the war.
The second war, Twilight II: between fairies and Vampires was the most disastrous war which the history had ever recorded. Apparently the fairies became too proud of their power and their strength that they declare war against the Vampires, who were known for second strongest race. Even after receiving a clear warning from the Vampire and Dragon kingdom, the fairies didn't want to back away without having a war. They wanted to prove that they are far superior than the vampires and witches (Afterall Fairies are the reason for magical powers). The war lasted for 3 years, causing large damage on the fairies side. 2/3 of the kingdom was destroyed whereas the vampire kingdom remain unaffected. In the middle of the 4th year, the fairy kingdom decided to stop the war by introducing a peace treaty between the two kingdom.
The third war, Twilight III: Between witches, werewolves, elves and humans was a disaster. The witches casted a spell on the werewolves, making them to enter into the human territory and causing pool of blood. The witches didn't stop there though, they also ordered the werewolves to attack the elves kingdom. Humans and elves joined forces and declared war on Witches and werewolves. Twilight III, which lasted for 8 years abruptly came to a stop when the dragons involved themselves. Probably the dragons were annoyed by the battle, thus they came to stop the war. After the war, the werewolves and the human kingdom signed an agreement of peace and unity when troubles arrives. Witches were then banned among humans and elves. Their existence were termed as curse from the creator.
Akira was now really curious about her race. Was she a blood drinking Vampire? Cursed Witch? beautiful Elf? Water Mermaid (probably not). She didn't have a fish tail like mermaids or fangs like vampire or long pointy ears like elves nor the long dirty nails like witches. Orc and goblins sounds sooo unlike her. Well, she was a foodie but she won't eat a human like orcs. It sounds..... disgusting. And she also doesn't steal like goblins (she does). Ok, she does, but she sucks at stealing. She couldn't even steal the cookies from the kitchen nor the remote control from Yumi.
Since Yumi love her princess and dream prince, she had the tendency of watching shows regarding those 'royal families'. The first time Akari tried to steal the remote, Yumi almost screamed her lungs out. The second time she tried to steal the cookies from kitchen, Yumi immediately complaint to their mother, and poor Akari had to stop eating cookies for a month. That's it. She sucks at stealing!
Akari sprawled on the pillows and sighed. This 'young miss' seems to be loved by everyone. The day before yesterday, she went to the kitchen for requesting milk. The chef was so shocked that he fainted on the spot. Akari was so worried that she immediately called the Duke, who sternly warned her that she shouldn't go to the kitchen. Can't blame her though. She only wanted milk. Surprisingly, the next day, the same chef came to her room with jugs of milk, which greatly pleased Akari. She would have no difficulties in interacting with them (which she would never do). Ok, back to the world information.
Types of runes and magic varies from races to races. Magic was practice among the Fairies, humans, vampires, elves and dragons, whereas Runes were practiced among the mermaids, beastmen, werewolves, orcs and goblins. Magic and Runes were two different type of spells used by an individual. The are fifteen attributes of magics including common, unique, rare and ancient types. Each child at the age of 10-12 would atleast awaken a single attribute of magic, while the genius kids awaken two or three attributes.
Since the dragon kingdom was the centre of the Vampire, elves and humans kingdoms, children at the age of around 8-12 were to travel to the Aurora palace, situated at the dragon kingdom for aptitude testing. Whereas children of Werewolves, beast men and witch kingdoms should travel to the Wave palace of Mermaid kingdom. High level orcs and goblins would be able to test their aptitude if they travel to the Rose palace of Vampires. Since orcs and goblins were widely known as 'notorious creatures', the vampire kingdom was the best option to keep the orcs and goblins in their 'best behaviour'.
There were seven tier of aptitudes. Zero-tier as the strongest and the Sixth-tier as the weakest. 70% of the population have awaken at least a single attribute, 20% with no attributes (who were termed as 'vessel'), 5% with two attributes, 3% with three attributes, 1.9% with four attributes and 0.1% with five attributes (which was really, like -really, really, really, really, super rare...).
Akari was amazed! Even though she wasn't interested in these so-called magic and runes, it was really fascinating to know that she and transmigrated into some kind of magical world. Isn't this so cool! She could be like the wizards and Vampires who usually come in the fiction movies. Though she didn't like orcs and goblins, she would also like to meet them too. Probably she would learn how to 'steal' by observing the goblins.
Humming a soft tune, she rolled to the side and picked another book from her collections. Then rolling to the middle of the pillows, she held the book toward her face and opened it. This magical world was sure interesting. Even though there were no cars or phone, the land was developed in an extraordinary way. Instead of phones, the people use telepathy to connect with each other. That sounds cooler than phones, but bruh.....she loves her phone. Her phone is her first friend and her only loyal partner.
While her parents and sisters betray her for things, her phone would never betray her. Her phone would always wait for her and always do whatever she says (except physical works). Her phone would even talk to her! She remembered the disaster which occur after asking her phone about the regular question, which Yumi asked during her(y) dates.
["Hey Siri, what do you mean by big cock?" Akari asked in between her reading session. "Turu. Answering: A cock is a male bird, especially a rooster". Akari was then confused. Why was Yumi asking her boyfriends whether they have a big cock or small cock?. Does she like chicken? But she never heard of Yumi raising chickens. Well, she saw her eating chicken but not raising one.
It greatly confused her that she asked her mother whether Yumi was secretly raising roosters, but mom just smiled at her and asked, "does little bunny want chicken for dinner?". Akari pouted and told that she didn't want chicken rather cookies. Mom immediately frowned and rejected, "No'. Akari pouted and decided to ask Yumi about her confusion. If Yumi was raising cocks (roosters), she would also like to join. Anyway, it wasn't like she had other jobs to do.
When Akari asked Yumi about the 'cock' raising thing, Yumi abruptly fell down from the stairs, causing their mother to lecture them for three hours straight. Akari was really innocent though.
She was only curious. Why did Yumi had to choke her drink and fall down the stairs?
"Mimi, are your boyfriends raising big cocks? If so, can I also come and see those with you?!" that's what she requested Yumi. Yumi gave Akari a blank look for few moment, then realising the mistake she did, she choked and tripped down the stairs. Iyooo....Her little sister was too innocent for the dirty thoughts!
Akari was so frightened that she almost cried on the spot. Does her sister wants to raise the cocks by herself? If so, she should have just told! Akari immediately apologize her sister for asking about the chickens. She also promised that she won't tell anyone nor speak about it again. Yumi could only tiredly sigh in response]
Akari giggled when she thought about the incident. After that incident, Yumi never took her to dates (which was a great relief) and she also forgot about raising 'cocks'. Ok, back to the information:
The people use telepathy for communication while they use portals for long distance traveling (which cost a lot. Like -a looooooooooottt!). Portals were only available for royal family or any high ranking official, like the Duke or prime minister. Well, they could also use carriages, spiritual beast and large animals for traveling. Portals were only used for any dangerous events or special occasions. Like, if there was a sudden disaster or an important festival held in some other kingdom. Each kingdom had different kind of rules, different seasons and different festivals, but there were two common festivals for all the kingdom, which were held at the same day.
New year and Valentine's day. Akari almost choked when she read the second common occasion. For Mary Christ sake! Valentine's day? So absurd.....
Well, this world is sure interesting and she's gonna try to enjoy it. What was the 'young miss' name again? Emme? Emmo? Emto? Ah! She remembered. This body's name is Emma. Akari curled her lips into a breathtaking smile, 'This is gonna be interesting'.
