Two months

Desolate Yellow Forest, Central region.

It's been two months since Ze entered the Desolate. He searched this region thoroughly for high realm beasts. He already broke through to Supreme Being Realm. He is now at half-Divine Echelon realm.

Also in these two months he carefully observed the forces of sects and clans. They attained their goal in searching for the demon's hideout. Ze observed them clearly from time to time.

Although they found their hideout, they couldn't find a single demon. Their caves were fully cleaned. The demons didn't leave even a single thing behind. If anyone besides cultivators saw this place, they will think that the cave was vacant.

Also their group encountered many beasts and their forces dwindled to a great degree. Ze pondered many times whether to help them discreetly. This is because they ventured this deep in search of demons despite the danger.

And the demons seems to be planning something. He is worried that they will also trouble him at some point. This is because he decided to stay and hunt in the desolates, and they are the demons home. So, he couldn't come to a decision.

After a while, he did help a little. There are two spies who observed the moments of these people. They are both at True immortal realm. And they really hid very well. They wouldn't show themselves at any cost and only monitored the group when they are in battle. They possessed darkness law and also obtained force realm which helped them a lot.

Only the lady who spied on Ze caught that something was not right. But she couldn't pinpoint anything clearly.

Ze disposed the two of them without any sound. He was hesitant at first because they are immortals and although he trained his techniques well, he was afraid it wouldn't work as he expected.

But he couldn't be more wrong. When he hit the first demon with his full force, he couldn't even make a sound. He was gone in an instant. His body and soul essence were devoured. For the second demon it took two punches, but nonetheless he too died.

This really defies common sense. No one at Supreme Being Realm, even with many techniques shouldn't be able to achieve it. But Ze is different. He has a body at unknown powerful realm, indomitable will, divine abilities, overpowered techniques, which all made it possible. And Ze knows it. So, he didn't let it get to his head.

After they died, Ze protected the Rou woman discreetly. Anytime she was surrounded by many beasts she couldn't deal with, he would take advantage of the chaos and would hit vital points of the beasts. The woman would then finish them off. To prevent this happening often and raise doubts, he would also kill the beasts which would try to surround her, before they even reach her.

He also didn't completely understand why he did save her. He felt an affinity and some longing from her, when she tried to spy on him. He didn't find any malice when she did that. Although he didn't like being spied, he didn't hate her. He also felt that although he found many excuses to explain her actions, he couldn't help but feel there is something he didn't know here. So, he decided to have a talk with her when he reaches true immortal realm and find why she did what she did.

After they found the demon caves, the group began to move out of the Desolate. They didn't venture into core region. Ze saw that they were leaving and breathed a sigh of relief. To protect Rou, his hunting time was decreased by a fourth. He was hunting and was also observing the dangers surrounding her. So he really was relieved that they left.

He then began to move towards the caves of demons. The sects group didn't find anything but he did find something. The demons basically cleared the many resources of the central region and used them for themselves. When they left they also took everything. But Ze found a seed in the depths of the cave.

The seed was spirit rank Emerald float fluid tree. This tree houses Destruction law and also it produces the fruits at regular intervals at high quantities. This helped him a lot because all he did find in this central region were beasts but no other resources. He really questioned himself whether this is a central region of the famous Desolate. At least now he has a spirit rank seed.

He then began to move towards the core region of the Desolate. He really understood how much resources required for him to develop in these two months. Without energy from high ranked beasts at a massive amount, he will not be able to achieve higher realms. So he decided to hunt the overlords of the yellow desolate.

After two months of searching, the group found the demon caves. But as expected there is no trace of a single demon.

Rou already knows this, but the group was dispirited. They paid a great price in coming here, but couldn't find any clues at all. They couldn't understand how to give explanation to their lords and elders.

After that, they started to move out of desolate. Rou proposed this because they really couldn't endure the pressure of core region. Even the central region was much harder on them, they encountered continuous battles. So they agreed they will not survive if they enter core region.

Rou was thinking about many things on their way back. At the beginning, when they entered the central region, whenever they entered battle, she could feel someone watching. But she couldn't find the exact location. But after sometime the feeling vanished and never appeared again. She first thought maybe it was "That person." But quickly denied the idea. This is because she found malice in the person who was watching. She knows that person is not responsible for this.

She also observed that whenever she encountered too many beasts, they seemed to have a very bad luck. They would sometimes suddenly vomit blood or cry in pain. Also she found that some beasts just disappeared like they never existed. She couldn't understand how such things happen.

She then figured out the cause. It is because of that person. He is probably also responsible for killing the person who was watching.

But she couldn't understand why he would help her.

He didn't liked the fact that she spied on him, right? He severed the connection.

Then why? She couldn't understand.

She also felt somewhat happy. A warm feeling appeared in her heart and she blushed a little. She really liked that someone was protecting her here, where she is just a grand elder of a sect and not some heavenly genius.

But even if she is a grand elder, does that person know that? She didn't know the answer to that. And she couldn't find any valid reason.

She then speculated that it was because he wanted to know the reason for spying on him. If that is the case, he will soon find her, which is a very good thing.

She felt happy again. And in those high spirits, they were hurriedly crossing the forest. In atmost one and half month they would be out of forest. She will have to report this news to the person who assigned her the mission.
