Cultivation Ranks

The Ten Great Sects are basically overlords over the continent. They have resources, man power and backing of powerful individuals. Though there are other sects, they do not rank nowhere near these sects.

The powerful families, basically clans are also considered strong here. Even the Ten Great Sects would have to give them face, as they too have backing from lower heavens. The clans prominent are called Seven Greats, namely Yu clan, Feng clan, Xuan clan, Fu clan, Zhang clan, Lu clan and Zhao clan. Mainly Zhao and Xuan clan are considered vey powerful because they have ancestors in middle and upper heavens.

The remaining people are persons with no background. These people are basically servants of these great clans. When the descendants of clans come to continent, they bring with them servants and guards along. When they ascend, most likely along with their guards, they leave for lower heavens. But the servants have mediocre talents and may never reach immortal rank and live in the continent their entire life. Su Zeich basically is such an example. His parents or his ancestors might me those servants which could not ascend and remained here. They might stay in the clans but sometimes these servants were abandoned, because they do not need many servants or resources are wasted to raise them. The continent contains 60% of such people.

These iterant cultivators join clans or sects because of lack of resources. If they prove to be useful, they get benefits.

Cultivation ranks basically starts from Basic Ten - Body Forging, Qi Refinement, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Nascent Realm, Soul Formation, Void Formation, Transcendence, Supreme Being, these are foundation for cultivators.

After the basic ten, there are four more ranks which is the restriction to continent. These are Divine Echelon, Divine Spirit, Divine Lord, True Immortal. Once a person reach True Immortal rank, he can make a choice to whether ascend or not. Most people, mainly people from clans, choose to ascend. Some people wait till they reach late-stage immortal rank and then ascend. There are exceptions in The Ten Great Sects and Seven Greats, there are people of immortal ranks basically to hold the fort. These are sect masters, grand elders, patriarchs, old ancestors.

These sects and clans basically welcomes people with nascent rank who are under age 30. These people may become servants for clans or disciples in sects. Most people choose sects because they have more resources and man power. But whether in the sects or clans, hierarchy is evident.

The sects holds exams for disciple entry once every 50 years. In another 10 years, there will be another test. The previous owner tried to enter these sects and so he wanted to increase his rank fast. Unfortunately he died. Ze do not plan to enter these sects or clans for now.

Ze woke up and found that it is already morning. He freshens up and leave for restaurant to eat something. He plans to go to the sect for sign-in. After eating, he began to walk towards the sect. He collected some more crystals and also collected a tier-1 medicinal herb, it is quite useful to him. Soon he reached the sect.

Ze : "System, sign-in here."

[Ding! Congratulations Master, you got "Primeval Void Celestial Divine Body." Assimilation of the body is very painful and time-consuming process. I suggest master to find a seclude place for assimilation.]

Ze got stunned once again, he snapped out of it and began to walk towards inn and soon reached his room. He began to read about this body.

What the hell? What is this overpowered cheat? No, no this is basically a hack! Destroying a universe with a punch, do you have to be so exaggerated? Ze could not believe what is happening. He asked the system about it.

Ze had no words to describe his feeling. The system's answer is too much to digest. But he didn't understand why he was given everything with no minimal work. He speculated there must be a reason for this. Maybe the system wanted to achieve something by making him strong? He has no way of knowing it and he didn't ask system because he know all too well about this scenario where the system replies you're not strong enough for the answer. He read too many novels.

Ze : "System, how much time will be needed to assimilate body? And what degree of pain are taking about?"

Ze had no energy to argue with system, so he got silent. It looks like he cannot get the body for the time being. Although there are inns which support the cultivators, the price is almost 100 low-grade crystals for month. Ze can most likely three months. 200 months is impossible. He had to think of a way.
