Chapter 4 - Increasing Cultivation

In front of him was a fairy like figure. She had an attractive plump bosom, a curvy butt and a slender waist. Her skin was like jade, and her face was beyond attractive. Her black hair was tied into a bun, held in place by a cute pink hairband, her azure eyes like sapphire gemstones stared at Xu Feng in a puzzling manner.

With a cold and indifferent voice she asked " Why are you here?"

" To sell pills.."

After hearing that he was here to sell pills, her expression changed, with a flattering smile, she asked " Are you an alchemist?"

"No i'm just a disciple here to sell pills for my master."

Then within a few minutes, after a bit of haggling Xu Feng sold the 500 Qi sensing pills for 2000 gold coins. After he left, the shopkeeper was surprised at Xu Feng's indifference towards her beauty. usually when men saw her, they'll be enchanted with her beauty, their eyes would reveal lust and longing. But that man was different all his eyes revealed was arrogance and pride. This attitude slightly displeased the shopkeeper as she questioned her charm for the first time in her life.

It wasn't that Xu Feng was indifferent towards beautiful women, but rather he knew she was one of those flattering bootlickers as soon as her saw her flattering smile and dejected expression when she knew that he wasn't an alchemist. Such a change was subtle, but Xu Feng could easily pick up such a difference in facial expression. If he didn't know how to judge people, he would be dead over a thousand times in his past life.

Throwing this in the back of his mind, Xu Feng walked towards the herbs counter and purchased a dozen various different herbs. Then he left the alchemy store and walked towards the weapons shop. He bought various materials which were yang and yin in nature.

Placing these items within his spatial ring without anyone realising, Xu Feng proceeded towards the clothing shop. Inside could be seen various bright and colourful clothes. Picking outfits which were crimson he left the shop with a huge smile on his face.

The furnace lid was thrown to the side and inside the furnace, there was 20 pills with 100% efficiency.

These pills were called body strengthening pills. Before cultivating, one needs a strong body as a foundation. The body is the pillar of the mind. Without the body the soul can't do anything. Taking all 20 pills, Xu Feng ate them like candy. If other alchemists were to see this they would die of anger. These pills were perfect 100% efficient and now a beggar like figure was eating them like candy thinking that it tasted bitter.

Circulating the Transcending the heaven's scripture, Xu Feng absorbed the medical energy from these pills and circulated the energy with his muscles and bones. Slowly, his previously normal looking physique transformed into one filled with chiselled muscles, and an unbearable stench was emitted from his body. These were the impurities within his muscles and bones.

Xu Feng then made his way towards the river and washed himself thoroughly. Then he put on his crimson robes. on the reflection of the water could be seen an handsome figure. He had a slim yet sturdy physique, his skin was pure white like snow and his womanly facial feature further enhanced his appeal. On the way back to his house, he noticed various women staring at him flirtatiously, one girl even stopped him and tried to start a conversation with him. Obviously Xu Feng ignored these women. It wasn't that he hated having some fun, but rather he was too weak at the moment, so before he attained some strength he wouldn't have fun with women and besides, he was already bored of such relationships in his previous life. It feels good at the start but after a few years you feel like women only like you due to your looks and it starts to hurt and get boring. You wounder how they would treat you if you had a normal looking face, obviously they would ignore you, so Xu Feng ignored these women who were shallow and superficial. If they were really really pretty though, it might be a different story. Unfortunately, such women were either cold as mountain ice or selfish and scheming like predators, very few would be worth pursuing.

Inside the shabby block, Xu Feng then started to absorb the materials he bought from the weapons shop. The Transcending the heavens scripture works by absorbing energy, energy can be found in anything and everything, energy can't be resisted the effects will remain the same. What does this mean, well it means that regardless of how many times Xu Feng consume pills, he wouldn't build up resistance and he would always absorb the same amount of energy from it. This also has other advantages, it means that all resources regardless of which kind can be used by him. The materials which he bought from the weapons shop was absorbed and redirected within his skin.

Bang!

His cultivation base rose rapidly and soon he entered the second realm of body refinement.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

His skin, muscles,bones and bone marrow all absorbed the energy. Not only that but now his muscles and bones were as strong as the materials he absorbed. The transcending the heavens scripture turns one into heavens and earth. This includes the body. It can therefore also be classified as a body refinement, soul and cultivation technique. What the technique increases depends on where the user redirects the energy to. Now not only did his cultivation realm raise to the 5th realm of body refinement, his body also became much stronger than it was before. Normally the body of another body refinement cultivator would be as strong as iron, but Xu Feng's body was as strong as the refined yang and yin iron he absorbed. He body was as strong as those in the upper level of the Qi sensing realm.

This obviously made Xu Feng happy. As now he knew that he could gain a body that's literally as strong as the heavens itself. With his experience he knew that the scripture he practised wasn't fake or boasting when it said the user could surpass heaven.

He!He!

Laughing he thought " With this I can have an indestructible body capable of sweeping away those above my realm with ease!" he knew that when his Qi ran out, when his soul force was weakened what he had to rely on in a fight is his body. Not many cultivators recognised this. Many even viewed those who practised body refinement techniques as idiots who tried to imitate natural physiques. These idiots think splitting ones attention between refining the body and increasing cultivation realm is stupid as one would have little achievement in both. Xu Feng knew this was all bullshit. Without his body in his path life, Xu Feng would've died countless times when being ambushed or when fighting against numerous enemies.

Closing his eyes, Xu Feng meditated and consolidated his cultivation realm.

After spending over 1500 gold on herbs needed for the strengthening pill and materials to refine his body, Xu Feng realised that the Transcending the heavens scripture is unique and that he now required huge amounts of energy to increase his cultivation base. This was also the case in his previous life, huge amounts of energy is needed especially when one cultivates a good technique with high battle power, so Xu Feng wasn't concerned about the resources he needed, because he already knew how he could get such resources- stealing. This was one of his favourite things to do in his past life. Why pay or painstakingly try and find unique resources when you could simply steal?

In the cover of the night, a black robed man who covered his face with a mask, infiltrated into the weapons store. The guards were already dead after facing the soul attack of Xu Feng. Casually like it was his back yard, Xu Feng jumped into the weapons store through the opening he created on it's roof. All the guards guarding the inside and outside of the building were already dead. Xu Feng then proceeded and took all of the materials and swords and put them on the space in his spatial ring. The 5 cubic meter ring was full, so Xu Feng then took out a sack and threw in the rest of the precious materials inside. Without a care in the world, Xu Feng then disappeared into the stillness of the night.

A few hours later, Xu Feng then proceeded to do the same in the alchemy store. He stealthily spread his soul force and checked for guards and other cultivators. There was thankfully no on above the Qi Consolidation realm. Launching his soul force at these guards, Xu Feng entered the alchemy store and took all of the precious herbs that he could find. When his spatial ring was full, the rest of the herbs were then transported in a sack, of course such an experienced thief also took some gold coins for future use and left without a trace.

"It's such a pity." Xu Feng though, after all if his spatial ring was of a higher quality he wouldn't need to carry things in a sack and leave herbs and weapons behind. Sighing at this inconvenience Xu Feng slept peacefully. While he was sleeping, the owners of these shops, the Cheng and Xiao families were in chaos.
