Training as a Slime (93)

The high elf covered her mouth concealing her laughter. She found it rather amusing that such a young slime had the audacity to address her affectionately. "As expected from the one selected by Hall777," she thought. The seductive tutor sat on the table cleverly keeping her skirt PG and inched toward Cori. "Dear... I didn't know we were that close my dear Cori," she smiled, looking at him like a delicious snack. The class unanimously expressed their surprise and amazement and cheered at the revelation of the scandal. Cori flustered, his face hot and pinkish at the sudden advancement.

"What is going on between them?" Shason watched the drama before him and rubbed his tummy wishing for sweet popcorn. Alice was munching on popcorn angrily in the backpack. "How can master leave out such important life events from me!" it thought.

The high elf twirled her pink locks with a playful smile, "Fascinating... you're rather bold for someone already attached."

"What? What do you mean?" Cori asked in surprise.

"There's another person! I didn't know you were such a flirt!" it grabbed another bunch of popcorn and stuffed it into its electronic mouth.

"Are you sure you want me to reveal your partner here?" she teased, working the crowds of trainees. The slimes inched in, holding their breaths.

"So who is it?" Gate asked excitedly, breaking the silence and egging the instructor to reveal the mysterious person. "Say it! Say it!" the class chanted with Meimei, Gate, Shanson, and Sky joining in.

The instructor threw a wink at Sky who returned with a look of confusion. The girls in the crowd squealed in excitement.

"Haha, I should have known!" Shanson said bursting into laughter.

Seemingly caught on, Sky's face turned a pinkish hue. Seeing the beet-red Sky, the instructor chuckled, "Shanson, Shanson, you caught on quick."

"What? What happened? Can anyone explain what's going on?" Sky asked still lost and confused.

"Oh, you poor soul, such a sweet child," Ivy's finger stroked the slime's firm chin, "don't you know these babies are both yours and Cori's? Which effectively makes you the mummy and Cori the daddy."

"Mummy?"

"Daddy?"

The bombshell dropped onto both slimes at the same time. They looked around the roomful of paralysed tiny Corgis.

"I always knew you were a girl," Gate patted Sky's back comforting the puzzled Slime.

"But... but..." Sky tried to explain but ended up stuttering. Looking pitifully at Meimei, "Meimei, you have to believe me! Nothing is going on between me and Cori! I mean he has an aura of a prince but still..."

Meimei looked at Sky in horror, "So it's true. You find Cori attractive!"

Cori, "No, Meimei. There is nothing between me and Sky. Sky's a guy, right Sky?"

System, "Sky- an androgynous looking Slime."

Cori, "..."

Sky looked back at Cori on the brink of tears, "Are slimes hermaphrodites? Or am I... and why Corgis?"

Cori remained silent since his skill failed to reveal Sky's gender and personal details.

"Cori, say something!" Sky's face showed lines of worry.

Shanson laughed and laughed, "Sky you're so cute like a tiny-insy puppy."

Sky looked at Shanson shocked, "Shanson are you... you think I am cute?" The girls in the crowd squealed again at the sudden interaction between the two-second male leads.

Shanson pinched Sky's cheeks attempting to resolve his misunderstanding, "Wake up, wake up. The lecturer is referring to the potion."

"What do you mean?" asked the slime experiencing a gender crisis.

The mischievous elf chuckled covering her mouth. "It means that you seemed to have messed up somewhere with this healing potion and turned it into a conjuring potion," she explained, "I still see some residual magic left in your belly, if not for Cori's 'sweat' the potion would have sucked your soul dry. That probably explained why you are hypersensitive to everyone now."

"So why am I the mother and Cori's the father? Cori, will you be responsible for me from now on?" Sky asked Cori.

"Haha, this is so fresh," the lecturer laughed.

"Ah! I get it. Is it because Sky breathed life into these puppies and Cori provided something physical?" Gate asked.

"No... it's because Sky swallowed...," Shanson explained.

"You're both right," the high elf smiled approvingly at them.

"So they aren't together?" Alice wondered, finishing up the last bit of popcorn. It projected out a love chart and added Sky as a possible romantic candidate, and Meimei as Cori's rival.

"Miss Ivy, stop teasing Sky and I. Look at the poor kid, he is so lost," Cori said.

"But he is so adorably innocent," the elf laughed, "Luckily for both of you, I have a potion prepared in advance. You have to drink it simultaneously so all the ingredients will return to their original form. Then you start making the potion as written on the board again."

"But what will happen to our babies?" Sky cried.

Unable to bear the wishy-washy behaviour any longer, Shanson took the bottle and stuffed the contents into Sky's mouth. When both slimes drank the potion, the corgis started howling and ran back into the cauldron. Sky then gave a loud burp and a pinkish-yellow cloud came out of him and fell into the cauldron.

A formless light drifted back to Sky and the teardrop returned to Cori's eyes. A loud metallic sound abruptly resounded in the classroom. Everyone wondered and looked around trying to find the source of the sound.

"There, that seems to do the trick. Now, everyone, the show's over. Return to your table and finish your potion. Whatever you do, don't drink the potion. Oh, and try not to use magical tools, those things tend to make potions a bit wonky." The tutor advised.

The group looked at their ingredients and the board. "Did anyone copy down what she wrote?" Shanson asked.

Sky noticed Meimei distanced herself from him and sandwiched herself between Shanson and Gate. "Here, I copied some notes but wasn't sure if I got everything down," Meimei handed the notes over to Shanson.

"Okay, no more ikea-ing the potion like a hotpot," Shanson commanded and set up the cauldron. A brief silence filled the air. "Ok, ok. Let's finish this potion," Gate encouraged, sorting out the details with Shanson.

Despite the super-detailed content, the method to complete the potion was rather simple - grind all the ingredients to powder form, put it into the cauldron and stir it for 5 minutes. Add water and simmer it to a boil. Once done, they let it cool to absorb the magicules in the room. The minute the potion started glowing a reddish-gold hue, it meant that the magicules successfully transformed into holy power and were ready for storage and usage.

"Done and dusted!" Gate smiled satisfyingly with the group feeling a sense of relief. Shanson's tensed-up stomach let out a relaxing growl and everyone burst out laughing.
