Chapter 23: Veronica Sanchez

Its already Friday and the end of semester party is tonight. No classes, no homework, just me, my boyfriend, our friends and a night of partying, what could be better. Vin picked me up early in the morning from my parents' house and we are on our way to the mall to get him something to wear for the party.

"I found it. The yearbook." I told him as we were driving through the city.

"Did you find anything in it?" he asked hesitantly.

"Nope. I said I found it, I never said I looked at what's inside it." I replied to him while giving of a bitter laugh.

"You're scared. Its okay love." He said to me then held my hand reassuringly. I cupped his hand with both hands and just enjoyed the ride with him.
