Chapter two ★sleep over

"My dinner table is not long enough for almost ten people so all the kids are eating in the pool house", Alices mom told them and escorted them outside.

"The maid will bring your food there, whilst me and my husband have a romantic dinner".

Brian shivered in disgust "Nasty", he told them.

Alice looked down at her brother "Sadly I agree with you".

"Whatever off you go", she shooed them out.

Justin was the last out "Your parents really love eachother isn't".

Brian chuckled "More like take any chance to not listen to Alice yap about nothing, but yeah we could say that".

Alice whipped her head back and turned around with her lip pulled out as the group laughed.

"I didn't even start with him this time", she raised her hands up.

They entered the pool house and they made them selves comfortable.

Dalvin took his rightful place on the only  couch, a couch meant for three people but he would simply spread his legs on it so no one sat on it.

Keith, Justin and Viper sat on the bean bags whilst Alice sat on the floor.

"What are you doing by the door?", Alice asked Brian.

"I'm looking for my cat".

Viper raised his head "Look Brian I love you man but please don't bring that thing in here".

Brian rolled his eyes and sat on the nearest bean bag.

"So what did Walter say", Dalvin asked.

"Didn't Viper tell you?".

Viper shrugged "You didn't tell me anything Alice, you just asked whether it looked like it went well, and walked away".

"Well I don't want to talk about it", Alice turned towards the flat screen tv infront of them and grabbed the remote and the play station controller.

They were both rudely slapped out of her hands and she frowned at Keith.

"What Keith!?".

"You don't want to talk about it but all of us here do, now talk".

Alice slumped further onto the floor "Principal Walter said, I can't join the basketball team because I'm a girl", her bottom lip quivered.

Dalvin sat up "That's not right".

Alice brought her knees to her chest "I love basketball so much, so so so much and it hurts so much when I'm being told I can't do it because I'm female. It was the first thing I ever managed to do properly and I know how good I am. Principal Walter won't even give me a chance to show him its like he's already made up his mind, like he knows I can't do it".

Viper grinned "I'll fix that part".

Alice stared at him and arched a brow but he just smiled and began to type on his phone.

Justin ran a hand through his twisted hair "Sorry Ally".

"This is why I didn't want to tell you guys, I don't need sympathy. Infact I do not want it".

Brian gave her a sad smile "Oh it overjoyes me to see you almost in tears I'll have something to tease you about. And hey Basketball wasn't the first thing you did properly, you're a master professional at irritating the hell out of me, and you've done that painstakingly everyday of my life".

They laughed.

"And... If we didn't say sorry you'd be touched so its better safe", Dalvin laughed.

"Thank you".

"So how was practice?", Alice pouted.

The team shrugged "Viper was late like always, but besides that it was nasty as usual".

Alice turned to Viper "How were you late?!".

"Met a cheerleader when I was walking, couldn't help myself", he shrugged.

Alice suddenly remembered what the principal had told her and smacked her hand on the carpet "That bastard, told me he'd get a spot for me on the cheerleading team".

The group laughed. Viper even rolled off the bean bag and onto the floor.

She stared at them blankly with a scowl on her face.

"I haven't even seen you wear a skirt in my entire life and he thinks you'd skip to the cheerleading team", Justin laughed.

"I finally understand why you were so pissed", Viper laughed.

"Uhhuh", Alice told him.

Keith smiled "If it wasn't that he was the principal, I was going to punch him".

Alice laughed "It's alright guys".

Dalvin looked around "Gosh Alice don't you have a fan in here".

"Nope, Viper broke it remember?".

Viper scoffed and denied.

She turned over to Dalvin and watched him pull his shirt over his head, Alice gasped immediately and walked over to him.

"Dude what the hell happened?", she ran a finger along his bruised side.

Dalvin shrugged "Luke", he spat out.

Luke was the fifth basketball player, he had a strong pride that reeked from where ever he went. Luke found himself more superior to every one else. He was the basketball captain and everyone loathed him. Well every one except the coach and the ladies.

Alice frowned "So you just let him beat you!".

"Yea I'm a gentleman".

With a scoff she turned to the rest of the group "The whole story, now".

Keith rolled over to face them "Luke, doesn't know when to shut up, he crossed the line".

Alice's eyes flew open "He did?".

"Yea and Dalvin just lost his shit".

Dalvin looked down at his purplish side and laid back on the bed "If you think this is bad then you should see Luke, atleast I can walk straight".

"Ooooooooooooo I feel sorry for him", Alice winced.

"You shouldn't", Dalvin snapped.

There was one thing Dalvin hated talking about and that was the day his parents fought in the school and the next day it was all over the news and soon after that they divorced.

"Okaaaayyy", Alice raised her hands.

The room remained in silence but Alice turned to Justin and smiled "Can I do your hair?".

"I did it yesterday Alice", he ran a hand through it.

It was in thick twists and he had a fade cut.

"Please".

"No", Justin smiled "You'll do it next week".

Alice walked to Justin and stared at him with a tried puppy face.

"You got a nose ring", she shrieked.

"Yea earlier today", he chuckled.

She stared at the small silver ring and smiled "It's cute".

"Supper", a knock from the door alerted them.

"Come in", they all yelled.

Three maids walked in with trays of food.

"Madam said you will all sleep here, she has already phoned your parents".

"Yes", Brian bounded towards Viper in flight and hugged him.

Viper threw a hand over his shoulder  "As long as your cat isn't next to me I guaranttee you and I will have a blast".

And just as if speaking of the devil a small meow told everyone that Muffin had entered the room, with the maids.
