Chapter 9 - Friendship Created Emotions

*Ava jones POV*

I woke early in the morning, took a quick shower, got ready for the office, and most importantly mentally prepared myself for the thing I am going to do.

I was at my door and making sure to get the umbrella with me.

I don't know why but there is a different feeling inside me right now which is difficult to explain. It's like I am feeling weird but there is excitement and nervousness in me.

I didn't know I was this much of a coward.

Today I made three rules for me

1. Behave

2. Listen to rule no.1

3. Don't break rule no.2

Why did I make so many difficult rules for myself? I can't even follow it for 5 hours then how I am suppose to do it for 24 hours?

When I reached the office I saw a guy near my cabin.

It was not hard recognizing him.

It was that handsome dude from yesterday.

Finally, I got the chance to talk to him, I excitedly thought to myself and did celebration inside my brain.

When I made my way near my cabin, he looked at me with a smile.

Huh? weird. It was like it was him who was waiting for me and was more excited than I am.

I didn't know what to speak, why it became suddenly awkward all of a sudden?

"So... You are ava right? ", he spoke with his calming voice.

I was already lost and melted into his voice.

Why everyone here is so perfect?

He called me out again and of course, it was to wake me up as I was mentally gone.

"yeah! I am ava, it's a pleasure to meet you again", I spoke excitedly.

"again? It means you remembered me?", he asked shockingly but there was a hint of happiness in his tone.

Who would forget such a handsome man? I thought to myself.

"yeah I saw you yesterday at the boss's office, I guess you must be his friend", I said.

"I am his brother", he spoke for correcting me.

They all must have good genes. Such an unfair world.

"my bad I guess", I said while chuckling.

It became quiet. I didn't know what to say anymore. I was about to bid him bye but he spoke cutting me.

I think their family must have a habit to cut other people's words.

"I came here for you and ask for friendship. I saw you yesterday and I don't know I just wanted to be your friend", he spoke in his melodious voice.

How could I let this sweet offer go of course I had to accept it.

"It will be an honor to be your friend", I spoke with a bright voice and then we did a handshake.

*Rylan Nichols POV*

"friend my ass", he spoke while glaring at the screen which was in front of him.

I was seeing the CCTV footage of them since the start.

I was also thinking about why he was standing near my ava cabin.

This is not a friendship it's just a trick.

Why she is smiling? , she never handshake me and she doesn't even talk nicely or even smile like that at me.

Raider even if you are my brother but I still want you to throw out of this building to a very far place.

How dare he even went near her?

It will just disturb her from doing work and that will be my loss.

Yeah, I am just worried about my company and nothing else.

I have to do something to break this shitty friendship or keep her so busy that she can't even spare some time for this so-called friendship.

I will not allow my employees to do something which will affect my company.
