Chapter 11- Missing

*Ava POV*

What the fuck is he saying.

Me hurting him? I would love to but logically speaking I didn't even do anything.

At first, I doubted that this man was just crazy but I didn't know he needs serious special treatment which means to throw right into a mental hospital.

"Pardon?!", my tone showed clear confusion.

I could see his face fuming in anger and him trying his best to not outburst.

It's good if he doesn't show any useless anger towards me otherwise I will be the reason for his death.

He sighed and says.

"just get out of my office"

And I ain't letting this go like this. He disturbed my and Raider's moment.

*Rylan POV*

"How I am hurting you?", she said with a serious look.

Shit! why did I even say that even I don't know. I don't know what's happening to me. I am just getting more and more stupid.

The only thing I know is that I don't want them together.

Even their sight together looks hideous to me.

She was still viewing me with a questionable look.

Fuck! What should I even answer her?

I don't what to answer but I need to be quick. Why I am even scared of her? I looked at her to answer that I am her boss but the look on her face is really scary right now I think I should just answer her straightly.

"Ummm I mean that you are hurting my pride!", I said whatever came out of my mouth

I think this should be fine.

"huh!?", she let out a voice of complete confusion with a frown look on her face.

I think I fucked up. That was a lame excuse.

Before she asks something I will explain it by myself.

Why am I doing this again? And why she looks like my boss. My all reputation just turned into dust in front of her.

"let me explain", I said to her.

She still had that bewildered look on her face and waiting for me to speak.

With a serious tone, I spoke.

"I guess you haven't read the rules, in my office, no friendships are allowed as it distracts you from work and it will result in the loss of my business so that's the reason it will hurt my pride.", I spoke everything in a minute."

Sounds convincing.

It seems like convincing myself too.

"How did you know that we became friends?", she asked with one eyebrow raised.

Shit!

Why she gets curious about everything?

"stop asking me questions, you are an employee so act like one. Don't question your boss!", I spoke with a deadly serious tone.

Her mouth was zipped. She quietly picked up the files and left my office.

I watched her till her figure disappeared.

I sighed with a heavy breath of relief. Finally, she left. Even I was confused about what to answer her.

*Meanwhile Ava's POV*

What bullshit rule is that. I huffed in annoyance.

Now I have to complete all these files.

I sat at my desk and start doing my work. I will try to complete it as fast as possible so that devil can shut his mouth.

*hours later( almost at the time of 10:45 pm)*

I was here still working.

Suddenly raider appeared out of nowhere.

"oh you startled me!", I said while calming my heartbeat.

"oh sorry about that!", he said while chuckling.

"What are you still doing here? ", I asked.

"I should ask that Ava, what are you still doing here?"

"oh I just wanted to complete these files", I explained.

"Do it later, come I will drop you!"

* Rylan Nichols POV*

I knew ava was still working.

Of course, It's because a camera is installed in her cabin.

So I thought about dropping her at her house.

When I was near her cabin I saw Raider offering her a ride.

A sudden feeling of anger rushed through me. I wanted to punch him but I stopped myself. Why am I even getting angry?!

I don't care, she can go with whoever she wants.

It's not like she is mine.

I rushed back to my office to pick up my things.

After picking up my things I went to the garage.

What surprised me the most was that raider, he was alone there, with no ava by his side.

One side of me was happy but the other was worried. Did she go alone this late at night?

I went near Raider.

"Where is Ava? Didn't you offer her a ride", my voice sounded cold as ice.

"yeah I did but she refused my offer. Wait how did you know?"

I ignored his question. I don't have time for this shit.

Is she even safe by going this late? I shouldn't have given her too much work. It's all my fault. No, actually it's all Raider's fault.

Should I call her? No, she will think that I care for her.

I silently went inside my car and made my way to my home.

It's been fifteen minutes since I am at home. And my self conscious is eating me up. Should I really call her?

"fuck it!"

I quickly dialed her number and called her.

Why she isn't picking up?

I should call the owner of the building of her apartment. Why do I sound like a stalker?

Whatever.

I called the owner and he said that she haven't reached the apartment yet.

Fuck.

Where is she this late?

It's going to be midnight.

I think I need to do this. I called a number.

"Hello? I want you to trace this number."
