Team Up? Titans Go!

Parking the invisible jet above building, the four of us entered stealth mode and entered the building. It should've been harder but due to the fire the upper floors were basically empty. We made our way to the elevator shaft and I grabbed Artemis and Kori grabbed Jade and we started descending. Gizmos communicator was taken but somehow he managed to keep his goggles. Probably because his captors didn't take them as super high tech. Instantly the girls noticed.

"This place is way deeper than I thought."

"How far does it go?"

"You ask me, who do I ask?"

They whispered amongst each othered as we finally started making it to the sublevels. We got lower and lower but before we could reach Gizmo's level I could feel the energy consumption on a certain floor was much, much higher than the others.

"Jade, stop here. There's a lot of energy being directed here. Find out why and then meet us in the lower floors."

"Yes sir. Oh I love it when you get bossy."

The girl blew a playful kiss before disappearing out of Kori's arms and the rest of us continued to descend.

Jade Nguyen POV

After separating from the others I fell into the air vents via shadows and continued to observe what I was seeing. Monsters. Like actual creepy genetic nightmarish monsters. Seeing as how they didn't speak but communicating through glowing horns immediately had my hair on end. Telepathy.

I tightened my mask subconsciously to keep them out as my mask doubles as Psychic shielding. I continued deeper into the territory when I noticed a surprise. Isn't that the Guardian who's been famous a while back and then disappeared. Guess he works here. Following back the way he entered I finally found a giant door that says KR. Aw how cute I love it when people build doors extra thick. It makes them waste so much more time in responding to me.

After confirming my invisibility I entered the room to find an even bigger surprise. The three sidekicks in tubes and a mini Superman with a glowing horn creature on his shoulder. Are these people breeding super clones? Oh that's dangerous. After a while I noticed the creature had been silent while the boy talked to the three sidekicks. Instigating rebellion? Well done kids, buuuut if they can do it? Don't we just need the muscle here for the Titans?

While I was deciding it seemed as if quick boy succeeded in distracting the clone as boy wonder escaped his cuffs. The boys were about to escape when the creature started glowing horns again and the clone went puppet. Definitely some mind raping happening here. Deciding to intervene I took one swing knocking the little guy out while disabling invisibility.

The aqualad and speedy were visibly surprised while clone was disoriented.

"I thought there was something there after all the light looked strange in that spot. So who are you and why are you helping us?" As soon as Boy Wonder finished speaking he dropped to the floor and released his friends.

"Oh the names Cheshire. I'm with the The Titans. Here on a rescue op."

"Oh here to save me gorgeous? You shouldn't have I would've came to you myself." KF joked getting closer to her about to put his arm around here only for it to go through her altogether. Ignoring his blunder he continued "You say rescue? Just you?"

"Hmmm actually I'm mostly a scout. Sent here to figure out the unusual energy readings. Since I found out I'm reporting to my team."

"Wait you said team?" Asked Robin as he calculated her scouting prowess. Invisibility, intangibility, what other ilities does she have.

Sensing the foursomes budding interest her mouth beneath the mask couldn't help but grin. Baited.

Adam Brasher Pov

After splitting up continued to descend and was utterly shocked by what we found. A bunch of freezers. Most of which are empty but some of them definitely aren't. Following my signal I walked up to Gizmos' pod noticing he wasn't as blue as others. With a quick glance at the machine I understood how to operate it and started dethawing my friend. It would take him a few minutes to wake up so I went around the pods looking for any familiar faces and that's exactly what I found. Not only did I find Roy and Match but I found an unlikely duo. A young boy and girl in purple suits with a letter on their chest. Jayna and Zan the wonder twins. In addition to these four the others were either influential children or even some have long been dead.

About 20 minutes later the others were all awake and warming up, I was chatting with the four I rescued as I left match asleep for now. Artemis was talking with the regular folk about getting them back home while Kori was keeping guard. The scene soon settled down before.

"Well looks like I almost missed the party down here. Next time you say go down can you mention how far down?" The voice startled everyone as a woman with four guys all walked through the wall. "Did you find your dwarf?"

"WHO YOU CALLING DWARF?" The green clad kid yelled out.

"Roy?" Dick asked looking at his friend and before he could say anything Wally had already ran to his friend and embraced him.

"SPEEDY! I KNEW YOU WOULDNT LEAVE US ALONE! But where's your uniform? What....what happened to your arm?"

"Woah, calm down there speedster. This guy is very weak right now he's been on ice longer than the others. He needs rest." I spoke up taking attention to myself.

"Impossible we just parted with Roy this morning" Aqualad stated firmly.

"Yeah, and Superman didn't have kids last I heard. This is a cloning facility in case you didn't understand."

The three finally somewhat reluctantly understood that their friend had been kidnapped and cloned. Superboy however was fixated on the sleeping face in the only cabin not opened.

"Why is he still asleep?"

Turning my head to follow his eyes I see Match and understood "based on his files, he's an incomplete clone. All the power of a krptonian with no feelings or emotions. Only destruction. So until I can wake him up either in a non hostile environment or after trying to fix how these people messed him up, yea naturally I'm letting him sleep."

Turning back to the sidekicks, "Could I ask your assistance in getting these people to the surface and the League to help escort them back home? Some of these people ate very influential second generations. See the one in the back.."

Wally was the first to respond "Sasha Obama? OH MY GOD! THE PRESIDENTS FAMILY WAS....oh this is gonna be bad."

Aqualad took the initiative to walk over to me and offer his hand for a shake "You are the Blue Marvel of the Titans in Cheshire's mouth. We thank you for the aid. Truthfully I do not believe we could've handled all of us this so easily or even discovered how deep this place goes on our own."

Grasping the Atlanteans hand with a grin "No need to worry about it dude, we're if this place hadn't kidnapped my tech geek I never would've came this far. But since we met this time by fate, how about a team up? I don't believe this place will just let us take all of these kids out of here."

"I believe that to be for the best. We could use the help to handle this case before the league intervenes."

The two groups interacted more as they led all of the group to huddle in one area as I created a solid blue structure out of the air around us to act as an invisible elevator that will tear through the walls.

I had noticed Cheshire and Artemis chatting with Kori, Wally and Dick and Aqualad stood next to me as I slowly raised us out of the room. I noticed Jade giving me a 'look' that I knew all too well. Old rules dig the corner first.

"So why were you guys here before the league? Don't you normally act alongside certain members?"

"You mean to say sidekicks...as hurtful as that might sound, after today it seems to be true. We really were just sidekicks to them."

"Dont underestimate sidekicks my friend, a sidekick is sometimes more than a friend, a child, a partner learning from and together with your mentor. The only wrong path you chose is to keep following their steps. A successful protégé knows when he's learned enough to forge a path of his own."

"A path of my own huh?"

Leaving aqualad and the two eavedroppers alone I instead turn to the almost autistic Roy and finally sold my pitch.

"Hey, when we leave if you want help securing a new arm let me know. And if you're in need of a place to go the Titans tower has plenty of room."

He looked back at me and just nodded before going silent again. He had been brought up to speed by his friends on how long he's been asleep and he's doing his best to just control the anger whelming in his chest. Especially looking at the other occupants and realizing he's the only one dearmed.

We were about to reach the top floor when my senses started blaring.

"HEADS UP WE HAVE TROUBLE APPROACHING."

The heroes in our group all got in fighting stance as the civilians all Huddled behind us knowing that if they were to go home they only had one job and that's not get in our way.

Crashing through the ceiling into the 3rd subbasement we were met with an awful sight.

Hundreds of those Gnomes of all sorts lined up surrounding us with a few scientists holding pistols and even a few glowing blue guns.

Clap clap clap

The standard villain slow clap. Walking in front of the others with a loyal Guardian hot on his heels with a shield in hand Mark Desmond strode confidently in front of the Titans and sidekicks.

"You kids did well getting as far as you did. However I'm sorry I'm gonna have you all stop here and pay from the damages you did to our building."

"OR WHAT?" Superboy snapped back at him.

"Or.." he took a step forward as his size expanded easily passing 9 feet as his skin darkened to a Grey blue colour as he lost all trace of humanity spare the white skin residue still hanging onto him as his voice sounded easily close to King Shark's "I'll show you kids a real block buster."

I look back at Aqualad and see him looking at me at the same time. We each turn back to our teammates seeing Star with her hands ablaze, Artemis arrow loaded, Cheshire with her Sai ready, Wally leaning forward, Dick with Bo staff, and even Superboy was cracking his knuckles. Turning back to aqualad he looks at me before taking out his two water bearers. "On your mark."

I realized he was giving me command before I responded "Cheshire, Robin, KF protection and evacuation, Aqualad, Superboy, Artemis, StarFire take out the trolls. I'll handle this Blockbuster and join you. TITANS GO!"
