''Missing student and it was from the school I was teaching currently?'' I asked my subordinate in disbelief as I pick up my coffee on the vending machine.
''Yes, I just got it as my recent case, Miss Kinoshita. I was just wondering if you know anything about her because their parents have no idea where she might be right now. Haizzz...if only they would just pay more attention to her, there's no way she would go missing...'' He sighed.
''Do you mind some coffee?'' I offered him.
''Thanks. I have been losing my sleep to search for that girl these 2 days. Hopefully, I was able to find her sooner because her mother was giving me a hard time. I guess...money does the talk, huh?'' He carefully opens the coffee can and drinks it sip by sip. Then I buy another one for myself.
''Goodluck then, I should be going now. See you later, officer.''
''See you later.'' He slightly bowed at me as I head towards my office.
It was weekday and I should be taking my rest just like how all the other teachers did. But I can't complain about that since they will be as busy as I did. After all, they will be marking tons of exam paper for the midterms which means the summer break is coming soon.
''Now, now. I should be focusing my case first.'' I murmured to myself.
Shaking my thoughts away, I began to connect the dots of the Kumihimo serial killer case. This killer was very detailed with every single thing he does to the point where he didn't even leave an evident on the crime scenes. That psycho only left Kumihimo braided cord on the victim's wrist as a clue which doesn't help a lot.
'I have no idea about what this bracelet was hinting about or maybe I had overlooked it...' Taking a closer look at the bracelet, I keep on staring at the details of the bracelet.
It was neatly twisted and braided together as if it was made by someone expert about it. The colours used was quite similar to one with the other, that's black and white. According to Mrs Yamaguchi, the colours the different the Kumihimo was likely linked with the seven deadly sins colours. She also says that the black and white that used was representing dreams.
''She also says that Kumihimo was a string that was used to bring obi together and stay in place which means it binds the cloth together...Yuaeru(to bind or fasten up in japanese.)'' I started to scrabble the paper.
''Black and white means dream...Yume(dream)...''
''Well, the both of them have the similar pronunciation. Yu...wait a sec...it sounds familiar...'' My hand paused after I began to realize something.
'Was it a name or something...' I silently think to myself.
''Yu...''
***
''Yuuto-kun!'' I eagerly waved my hand at him.
''Morning, Miyu-chan! You look so energetic today. Did something good happen?'' He smiled at me.
''Not really~ I just getting excited for next week." Grinning at him, I playfully punched his shoulder before Hikaru joined us.
''Yo, morning Yuuto-san.'' Hikaru greeted him.
''Morning, Hikaru-san. Do you have any plan for next week summer break?'' Yuuto tilts his head to the side, looking at Hikaru.
''Didn't Mi-nechan tell you about us going back to our hometown? My father also asked me to invite some of my friends to come along....'' Hikaru slightly touches his neck with a frustrated look on his face.
''And that means he doesn't manage to get even a single friend for this whole month in this school.'' I teased him.
''Seriously? I thought he could be the popular kid in his class with that look of him.'' Yuuto seems to be surprised by that.
''Mi-nechan! There's no need for you to say something so embarrassing in front of him!!'' Hikaru tan face suddenly turned all red after I tell the embarrassing truth to Yuuto.
''Well, it was the truth, right? Who asked you to be so cocky in the class? You even manage to get some random conversation between your classmate goes awkward in just a few minutes talking with them.'' Pointing at his chest, I lean closer to him for a better look of his blushing face.
''I-I just don't fit in their circle a-and there's nothing I can do about it.'' Hikaru avoided making eye contact with me as his words began to shutter.
I chuckled a bit after seeing the cute side of my cousin that doesn't even change for a bit. My hand naturally reaches out for his head and gently patted it.
''Neh, just kidding. You don't have to change for someone else because you are special for the way you are.''
''Mi-nechan...'' His diamond blue eyes sparkled as he looked daze for some reason.
''But you maybe need to change your habit of talking about your creepy weeb topic with some random stranger.'' I said with a straight forward face.
''Eh?!''
''Yea, Miyu was right. You should maybe change your weird habit. Talking to someone new about weeb stuff might just scare them off.'' Yuuto agreed with me.
''EHHH?!''
''Why the both of you are bullying me like this?! It was not my fault to fall in love with my waifu! UwU.'' Hikaru clutches his chest as he whimper.
''Is that your cousin? He is such a creep.'' Yuuto pointed at him in disgust.
''No, I don't know him. Let head to our class, quick. I don't want to be involved with this freak.'' I try to cover my face away.
''So...Yuuto-san, do you want to come along with us next week?'' Hikaru asked as we were about to head towards the stairs.
''Of course I will, you idiot. We are friends, aren't we?'' Yuuto gives out a soft smile at him.
''Can I come along too?!'' Touma suddenly appears out of nowhere behind me.
''OH, MY HOLY GOLDEN DOG SHIT!!'' I freaked out and accidentally cursed out aloud that everyone around me was turning their head, looking at me as if I had done something so wrong to them.
''....sorry...'' I whispered as I hide behind Yuuto.
''Pfft....''' Touma's face started to go red after trying so hard to hold back his laughter.
''OI, OI! It was your fault that I cursed such nonsense aloud.''
''Sorry, I just can't help myself.'' Touma covered his face as his ear was all flushed red.
''Golden dog shit, huh?'' Hikaru teased me.
''Pfft!!! I never thought that you are interested in dog shit.'' Yuuto green eyes tear up after trying so hard not to laugh at me.
''F-FCK YOU GUYSSS!!!!!'' I scolded.
''Um, student, please do mind your words. We are still in the school area, so please follow the rule accordingly.'' The student council warned me as he passes by us.
''Ah...Sorry.'' I slightly bowed at him.
''Pfft!!!!'' The three of them began to laugh at me.
'UGHH!!!! SO EMBARRASSING!!!' My face flushed in red after getting embarrassing in such a crowded place.
