Chapter 88

My wobbly leg slowly makes its way towards my seats after having a restless night thinking about what Sakura was talking on her yesterday. Burying my face on the desk, I felt that someone was gently patting my shoulder. I tilted up my head and as expected it was Yuuto who was tapping my shoulder.

''Yo morning, Yuuto-kun. Where have you been last night? I have been calling through your phone but it seems that you had switched off your phone. Do you know how worry I am?'' I looked at him as he placed his bag on his side desk.

''Really? I am sorry to make you worry. Last night I forget to bring my power bank along with me. So by the time when I was heading home after extra classes, my phone was dead.'' Yuuto explained.

''But why with the sudden call? I thought that you don't usually call others through the phone unless something urgent happened. Do you have something to talk about?'' He rested his chin on his hand while waiting for my answer.

''Um...Actually...would you believe me when I say that my parent's death was not a simple coincident? It was like more to something that's already....planned by someone. Bu-But it doesn't mean that someone I know was involved in this shit!'' I shuttered after I have gotten nervous on my words.

Yuuto's eyebrows creased after he gives me a weird look as if he was not understanding a single word am I saying. But then, there's a tiny smirk was hanging on his lips. I suddenly have the feeling that he was just acting dumb for some reason...

''So...this little detective notice there's something odd with it. But you don't need to worry about anything because I am always there by your side. Just count on me and you will see that everything will soon be fine.'' Yuuto reaches out for my head and ruffled my front bang.

''Hope so...'' I give out a weak smile at him.

''Move out of my way you bastard!!'' A loud familiar voice booming through the aisle outside the classroom.

'Isn't that Ichika? Why does she scream so suddenly like a psycho?' Questioning myself, I went outside to only see that Ichika was a quarrel with a boy which I believe had 'blocked' her way. She seems so pissed off for some reason though.

''Yuuto, what do you think just happen to her? Why does she look so mad?'' I asked that red-haired boy who was standing next to me, watching her weird attitude.

''I don't know. Maybe she was on her period or something.'' Yuuto shakes his shoulder up and down.

Without any hesitation, I instantly followed her from the back. I wanted to know why is she acting like that. My thoughts began to run wild in my head, thinking about all the possibility that might give me a hint about my parents.

'Could it be that she knows something about my parents? Did she feel angry when she knows that's Sakura who planned all those things? And if she did, she must've been looking for Sakura for an explanation, right? I want to know, I want to know more about it!'

''Mi-chan.'' Yuuto called me as he tries to reach for my hand.

''I will be back soon. Just wait for me, Yuuto-kun! If the teacher asks, say I had a bad tummy ache!'' I said loudly as I hurry my way to catch up to her.

''Geez...sometimes she was just too stubborn to say that shameful thing aloud...'' Yuuto slapped his forehead before he head inside the classroom.

''That bastard...I am going to kill him if he keeps on acting like that...'' I angrily cursed underneath my breath while I am heading upstairs towards the school top roof which was a forbidden area for the student. And that's a perfect place for that bastard to show himself after he had told me to come here last night through the text message.

The door was usually locked but by the time I reached there, I found out that the door was somehow opened wide. The breezy summer wind brushed my cheek as I step out the door. As expected there's a man was standing by the fence of the rooftop. He was wearing this school's uniform and I have the feeling that he might be one of this school student.

''Oh hey, Fatty! It's been a while since we last meet, right?'' A familiar voice greeted me.

''Tou-Touma? Is that you?!''

That man turned around, revealing his majestic purple eyes and I realized that the person who blackmailed me for the whole time was Sakura's crush. I was so shocked to the point where I was left speechless of how dumb I am for not knowing that it was this guy who ruins our friendship.

''Why with the pale face of yours, sweetie? Do I look so mesmerising today? Or maybe, because you were disappointed by yourself for not knowing that I was the one that blackmailed you all this time?'' Touma gives out a tiny smirk as he looked down on me.

At that point, I had never felt so helpless as I was today...

"I had been fooled by him..." I murmured.

'Nice one, Touma. Looks like I manage to make her feel her own karma. Maybe I should eliminate her as soon as possible before Mr Scar face body was found dead by the river...' The mysterious person looked at them as he walks down the stairs from the rooftop after hearing their conversation.

''Oh my holy shit!'' I cursed out aloud after I almost stumbled at the door. Both Ichika and Touma looked at me at the same time.

''Don't mind me. I am just a wind that's passing by here.'' I slowly crawled back and hide behind the door.

''Miyu-san, you don't have to hide behind there, it was pointless. I have already done talking with Ichika-san, so I am going to head out now.'' Touma said as I heard his footstep was getting nearer and nearer.

'Oh, God! Can't I not embarrassing myself in such a situation just even for one day?!' I covered my face with my hand while I bending to my knees on the corner of the stairs.

''Got ya'.'' Touma gently tapped my shoulder.

''Eek!'' I jumped a few step backwards away from him.

''Pfft! You look like a dumbass, right now. See you later at lunch.'' He then dabbed my head before leaving me behind alone with Ichika.

I went to the rooftop and notice Ichika was sitting on the floor looking pale as a zombie. Shaking her shoulder as hard as I could, I keep on calling for her name before she could get her mind upright.

''Miyu-san? Why are you here?'' She looked at me.

''Oh, I am here because I am worry—''

''Miyu-san!'' Ichika suddenly hold my shoulder tightly.

''Um...why with the sudden shoulder grip, Ichika-san? D-Did I do something wrong with you?''

''You need to stay away from Touma. He is crazy!''

''What do you mean he is crazy? Touma is a nice guy.'' I started to get uncomfortable with her words.

''I tell you this because I see you as a friend. You have to stay away from him because he might do the same thing he did on me to you. If possible, please move far away where he couldn't find you.''

''What—"

''He is crazy for you and he is willing to kill anyone that getting on his way for YOU!'' She forcefully shakes my shoulder.

"Please, please trust me and don't be fool by him, Miyu-san!!"

''Looks like I need to find another chance to finish her off...'' Touma throws a sharp knife between the bushes as he walks past the schoolyard.
