Virago has never felt this free and happy before. She was riding on the back of the giant wolf, the cold wind that blew felt warm. The forest they were headed to was known as "The Maze of Death." Those who enter the forest won't make it out alive because the forest traps them in. Virago didn't know about the forest but went there anyway, only because Arian was taking her there. Arian finally came to a stop inside the forest, on top of a cliff. Virago was able to see the beautiful sunrise with joy as Arian howled.
The maid went to the library where she had locked up Virago. She called out,
"Princess! Where are you?"
"..."
Silence.
"Princess, I asked where you are? Wake up and answer me at once!"
"..."
Silence.
The maid walked through the library mumbling to herself as she was trying to find Virago,
"Tsk! Why am I stuck here taking care of that thing! Are you dead? Where is she?".
She yelled again,
"WHERE ARE YOU? IF YOU DON'T COME OUT NOW THEN YOU WILL BE PUNISHED AGAIN!"
The maid's voice echoed the library then silence struck again. She began to get a little nervous because she knew if something happened to royal blood it would mean death. The maid started running around in the library looking for Virago.
"Princess, stop this nonsense game of hide and seek and come out now."
The butler walked in and asked,
"What's wrong Martha? Where is that useless vermin?"
The maid looked at the butler in horror.
"Sh-She isn't here"
The butler was confused at first then began to get anxious as he looked at Martha,
"No, stop joking, this is hardly the time for that. I'm sure she has to be here, we locked her here after all. I'll help look."
The maid replied,
"No! you are not understanding the severity, James! She is nowhere to be found in the library! What will happen to us if his majesty were to find out?! W-we will all DIE!"
The color on the butler's face was flushed out, he turned pale, terrified at the thought of his execution.
"No that can't be! I will quickly gather the other servants"
The butler rushed off to find the others and urgently brought them back to the library to tell them to find Virago. Everyone was calling for the princess,
"Princess! come out"
"Princess! where are you?"
One of the servants noticed books stacked like stairs next to the window and immediately informed the others. Everyone went out through the window following the trails the princess left behind. The only thing they found was a small piece of her dress left on the ground that was torn by the window. They all looked at each in shock as their faces turn pale to the thought of the cold face his majesty would make. Marthe cried out,
"James, what are we going to do?! This-I-NO! I don't want my life to end this way!"
The others stared at James, the butler, for an answer. Jame spoke in a trembling voice filled with nervousness,
"Calm down Martha, she can't be gone. After all, she is only five, where could her little twig-like legs possibly take her".
The words that came out the butler's mouth does seem logical to them, but Martha was in fear,
"NO! I CAN'T BE CALM! THAT IS THE LEAST OF THINGS I CAN BE RIGHT NOW! WE MUST FIND HER, ONLY THEN I WILL BE CALM".
They all decided to split up and look in different directions. However, when they were just about to split up one of the servants noticed a giant print near the trees by the library. Everyone was quickly informed, and in sheer terror, they recognized the giant paw print. They were all in disbelief of the situation at hand. One of the servants lost her strength in her from fear and screamed as she fell.
"KYAA! AAHH! PLEASE, GOD, HELP US!"
