Intermission.

My feet made thunderous claps as each step across the tiled floor continued. I ran and ran, trying my hardest to catch my breath before I found the entrance to the royal chamber.

When I arrived, I took a moment to compose myself. No other guards were standing watch due to the current situation, so I am alone in my endeavor.

After I finally managed to regain my composure, I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and pushed the wooden doors open.

The exquisite interior which I had seen many times before filled my view. The silk drapes, carpeted floor, and wooden desk at the side were all obviously luxurious. The most expensive item in this room, however, was not an item of furniture, but instead it was a crown.

The man inside of the room, the fifty year old Ornagus Brovadis Dagares Von Jun, otherwise known as Emperor Jun, was awaiting my arrival. His whitened hairs were pressed down by his golden crown, but he didn't seem to mind.
