Chapter 24: The Fight

We followed the King to the Knights practice. I saw someone who could be the captain knight. "Your majesty." He kneeled. "Rise sir Zeke." Then he rose. "What bring you here your majesty?" "Well first of all I would like to introduce you to Prince Narvian Dragonblood and his knight Lycan." Zeke bowed in respect. "Its all good." I said. "Its nice to meet you Zeke." "Its nice to meet you too Lycan." Said Zeke. "Likewise." Said Lycan. "You don't talk much do you?" said Zeke. "No he doesn't." "Oh ok makes since. We got others here who are the same. So anyway what is the other thing you came here for?" "Well I would like you to round up all your knights if you would. There are traitors here." "What? No way! I would have known wouldn't I?" "Just please Zeke humor me." "Yes your majesty." "Oh don't tell them about the traitor yet." "Yes your majesty."

He yelled and said. "Nights lets all line up please! In a regular manor!" They looked confused but did it anyway. Once they were lined up the King came up beside Zeke. We followed. "Everyone this is Prince Narvian Dragonblood and Lycan his Knight. We are here because we have some traitors among us." Said the King. "Narvi is here to pick them out. Now if anyone moves from this line I assume they are a traitor. Narvi will be walking down the line to pick out the traitors. When he does, the captain here will lock you up." Then the ones I knew were traitors tried to run but the other knights who weren't traitors caught them. "I guess we didn't need to pick them out since they ran." I said. "Haha your right Narvi. Once they are locked up we can ask them about where the clean one is." "Yes sir."

A while later I was sent to the dungeon to talk to them. "Hello guys. Did you miss me?" "Ha miss you? Of course not It took us years to find you only to know you would be here soon enough because you were with the prince of Goldhart." "Oh so you knew Ash was the prince all along huh?" "Yes we did what of it?" "Well I am not here to talk about him. Where is the clean freak?" "Oh him? Why did his pet bite you again?" "Yes he did I am here to get pay back on him." "You should know how clean he is. If there is anyone in the castle that is a clean freak, you should know. We really don't know. After we were sent here years ago he never told us what role he would be playing. He just told us that we would be knights since we liked fighting." "Hmm I see. You know you guys aren't really bad men. You just followed the wrong path. Have you all considered abandoning him?" "We've tried. The boss kills anyone who wants out. So if we want out he might as well kill ourselves." "Hmm is there anyone else who follows the same principles?" "Just the clean freak. If he is taken care of as well as the boss, we will do our best to change our ways." "Hmm. How about this. Once the boss and clean freak are taken care of we will come get you in the dungeon and give you a trial. There would be two places you could be. Either Aria or here." "If everyone would forgive us we would like to stay here." "Ok then. You will stay here until we come get you all ok?" "Yes your higness. Thank you." "Ok Lycan lets go." "Wait did you say Lycan?" "Yes what about him?" "Nothing I'm sure the clean freak will tell you about it." "Ok lets go." Lycan nodded and we left.

We went back to the king. "So do we know where he is?" "No but do you know who in this castle has to have everything clean?" "No I don't. Hmm. Maybe the servants do." "Well he definitely won't be a servant or a knight. Lycan what do you think a clean freak would do as a job?" "Well I think he would maybe be a shut in. Maybe go somewhere peaceful like a garden or something." "Yeah good idea." "What does this man look like?" said the king. "Well we has white hair down to his mid back. He has green eyes milky white skin. Carries a bag with a fluffy creature in it. "Ah I know who your talking about. He made himself a home in the green house. He sometimes comes outside for fresh air." "Ok mind showing us where it is your majesty?" "Sure this way."

"This is the garden. Straight that way is the green house." "Ok there is something I should tell you both. If it comes down to it. I fight him alone. No one is to interfere, ok?" "Just be careful Narvi." Said Lycan. The king agreed. "OK then lets go." So we headed toward the green house, but didn't go far we saw the clean freak talking with Ash. We waited awhile then Ash came to me. "I know he is a bad guy. I was acting. Be careful kid. I'll be standing with the others." "What about Violet?" "Oh well I saw her off. She went home. She will be coming to the castle when we head back. We will send word for her then she will come over." "Oh so maybe a marriage is in the works?." I joked. "Maybe who knows." Then we all were shocked. "Hey don't look so shocked. Its not like I'm not marriage material. I just never found the right girl ok?" "Sure it is old friend. Ok lets go."

"Hello clean freak." I said to him. He turned around and was happy to see me. "Oh Narvian. Have I missed you. We have been looking for you for too long." "Not surprised. So when are you going to tell me why you guys are all after me?" "You mean the boss never told you?" "I never stayed long enough to listen. So are you going to tell me or not?" "Not only the boss can give orders to tell you anything. If anyone disobeys you know what happens. Lycan good to see you again as well." Narvi looked at Lycan. "No way. No wonder Lycan doesn't talk much. What the hell did you do to this poor kid?" Lycan put his hand on me. I looked at him and he nodded no with his head. "Well it seems like he doesn't want to say. I'll tell you some other time. Come with us Narvian and things will be back to normal." "Ha normal. What is that?" "You don't want my little pet to poison you again do you?" "I figured it was him that did it before I got here too. Why don't you get locked up somewhere cleaner for awhile until we can figure things out." "Hmm. Very tempting but no." "You never did tell me how you stay so young. How old exactly are you?" Then Silver popped up.

"Hello old friend." Said Silver. "Wait you know him?" "Yes I did. He turned on us as well. He was the reason the war started in the first place. He has a spell put on him to make him stay young." "Hmm I see. No wonder." "Why did you betray us? What was the war all about?" "Hmm. Well for the same reason I guess that we want Narvian for. Which I can't say at the moment. You either need to come with me or find the boss at his lair." "Hmm I see. Look here. Do I need to fight you or are you going to come quietly?" "Hmm you know I would love to avoid fighting but there is no way I would come quietly. So I guess I have no choice. Tilly stay its between me and Narvian ok? Good pet."

"Ok so is there any rules clean freak?" "Well its not to the death so no rules. Lets go."

Silver turned back and since he had no weapon I handed him to Ash. I fought with my body. I had to try to avoid his power. "Good luck Kid." "Yeah thanks." "Be careful Narvi." "Yeah I'll try. Thanks Lycan." Then I faced him and said, "Before we do this, I think you might want to hear what I have to say about you?" "Oh is that so? Come over here then." I went over and whispered in his ear. Then he was shocked. "You knew all this time? How did you know? Don't tell me the boss…" "No one told me I was about to knock on the bosses door one night and heard it by accident. So do you really want to do this or not? Well I wanted to test out your skills before I went back. That's fine with me." So we started fighting.

"Woah that was a close one. So do you really agree with the boss's rules?" "What rules?" He said in an accent since he talked with one. "The one about if you leave you are dead." "Oh that. Uh if I didn't agree I would be dead as well. I am also the only one who agrees with him. I am the second boss." "That explains it. Say you weren't threatened. Would you agree?" "I don't know what I would think. It would depend on the situation." Then we focused more on the fighting until we were both tuckered out.

"Ok. I need to talk to you before you go. Will you take us to the boss. The others are locked up. Don't tell the boss." "He will find out eventually and might send someone to kill them." "Oh I wouldn't worry about it. Don't worry." "Well ok." Then I went over to the king to tell him the plan. "Uh yeah Lycan and I need to go alone. Since Ash has never been there it would be safer if just the two of us went. Well three including Silver." "Yeah I'll catch up with Rin here." "Ok Ash. Have fun. You three be careful." "We will try." Then we headed out with the guy we called clean freak.

"So how far is it from here?" "Well remember where we were when that no speaking kid came with you? I think you called him buddy?" "Yeah so its up there. How far is it?" "Just a few hours away."

We made it to the place we were to talk to the boss. "Lycan come with me." So he followed me in and I was announced. Boss let me in. I also brought Lycan. "Former boss." I said. "Yes former indeed." Then he turned around to face us. "Oh well look who you brought. I was wondering where you went lad." Said The boss. "What do you want? If you aren't careful you will be attacked." "I want to know something. Why did you or do you want me. What is so special about me you want?" "You know kid I've tried to tell you many times when you thought I was going to lecture you. Well I was at first but then I would have eventually told you but I guess now is good as any to tell you. As for why Lycan was here before, I was going to use him to find you and track you down. Except he got away and then you bring him with you. What luck." "As you know I am not staying." "Yes I know. Well lets see we wanted you because of how rare you are." "How rare I am? I don't understand." I looked at Lycan he looked confused as well.

"You think that form you are is your only form don't you? Your human look with demon horns, Tail, and eyes. You haven't seen your full form after all these years have you?" "Is it something I have to control?" "That depends on you." "How do I turn? What triggers it?" "Well any power comes out in the need to protect someone. Like I said it just Depends." "Hmm I see." "Also I'm afraid considering how old you are by now the longer it keeps bottled up the worse it will be to come out. I will deal with it when it comes. Now tell us besides my rarity is it for my power?" "Yes it was I have given up all hope. I was hoping after clean freak's pet bit you, you would come back to stay. I guess that isn't happening is it?" "I'm afraid not." "As for you getting out of here don't bet on it. Good luck." Once we came out a fight broke out.

Lycan fought beside me all the way. "I will escape. Even if I get poisoned to the point of no healing. I swear I will make it home. I will make sure you Lycan will make it home too." "Don't kill yourself in the process Narvi." "Haha try not to." Then we finally fought our way out and barely made it as well. "Can you fly Lycan?" "Yeah but I'll need to use my phoenix form." "OK then." So he turned and I jumped on and we finally got away. We made it back to the castle and he landed and transformed back. "Form huh? I have another form." I thought I was talking to myself but apparently I said it out loud because Lycan said, "Don't worry about it for now. Lets get back home then have Zaira take care of it. She should be able to help." "Yeah. Good idea."

We went back inside and met Ash and the king. "Your majesty." WE bowed. "Rise both of you. Did you get the answers you needed?" "Well sort of." I said. "Uh sorry to leave so soon but we have to get back." "Yes of course. Do come to visit when you can." "Oh Yes and uh let those guys in the dungeon out. just keep them save and have them watched closely. Don't have them be picked on. Its not their fault." "Yes alright. I'll let the captain know." "Ok thanks. Well lets go everyone." So we left and headed home.

It was the 3rd day on our way back and we were going to rest until dawn. "Hey uh Lycan. Sorry you had to go through that back there. Also I'm sorry for what you had to go through with them because of me." "Don't worry about it. The worst is over. I've got a good place now." "Yeah you do." Then Lycan and I went to sleep. We took turns watching.

In the middle of the night Narvi was groaning in his sleep. Ash heard it as well and hoped Narvi was ok. He went over to check and realized he was heating up. "Hey Narvi. Narvi! Wake up!" I woke up with a start. "What? What happened?" "Are you ok?" "No I'm not ok. I'm in pain. Whatever that man said about my transformation, I think something might happen soon." "OK well get some more rest." After he went back to sleep someone appeared.

"Zaira what are you doing here?" "I had a bad feeling and I was told where you went. What is wrong with him?" "He just learned he had another form. Its been dormant all this time." "I see. I feared that's what would happen. Sigh. Then longer it stays this way the worse it will get. I'm glad we are out here. He is not going to like this but. We have to wake him up to help him. I will need to help wake his true form at once. It will be dangerous since its at once but it will have to happen."

Zaira woke him up. "Zaira what are you doing here? I'm tired." "I know sorry but this has to happen. I will tell you its painful and dangerous. You can sleep on my cloud when its done. I will take you all back when this is done." They all looked relieved. "Ok ready Narvi?" "As ready as I'll every be with pain." "OK then when this happens try to control yourself ok?" "Yes maam." Then she touched my head and I felt something awaken inside me.
