CHAPTER 27. Distance

  Rafael’s POV:

When I walked into the room, they were both having a conversation, and Eva was giggling over something.

I just wish she wasn't saying anything embarrassing about me.

I stared at Astrid and couldn't believe how lovely she is and how fortunate I am to have her as my mate. I don't think I could have asked for more.

Was she laughing? Her smile was visible in her eyes. Oh my god, she looked even more stunning than before.

I'm hoping she'll be the same with me.

Eva, I believe, deserves a reward for helping her not only talk but also smile.

Eva smiled as soon as she spotted me and said, "Hello Bro."

"You're still here," I said, a bored expression on my face.

I noticed Astrid staring at me as if she was perplexed as to why I spoke to Eva in that manner, but that is simply how I am with Eva. She and I are just intended to argue, but she is the most important person in my life, and I would go to any length to defend her and Eva.
