"I think I'm in love with her."

Shiv's sudden confession made both Aditya and Aarav's jaw drop to the point that it hit the floor. They both understood one thing very clearly, he was not joking, he was being serious.

"But... Shiv, isn't she a human? I think you are digging your own grave...." Aarav couldn't help but feel worried about the situation.

"That's the reason why I want to try and stop this war between our races.... Though I don't think it will be easy."

Aditya didn't say anything. He stood still like a statue.

Shiv understood what was running in his head.

Ira was lying on the bed as she was ordered by Shiv.

"Ah! This bed is so soft and comfy unlike the one back at home. Just why did that guy feed me with his blood... There has got to be something that I am not aware of the demons..."

*Knock*

"Sister are you awake... can we come in?" Araa and Abi peeped their tiny heads through the door.

"Ah... Yes, I'm up. Come in."

The twins happily ran towards her as they hugged her tight with their tiny arms. Ira felt a little tingling sensation from the moment she saw those kids. She didn't know why, but her instinctive emotion to protect them was strangely strong.

"Sister, don't get hurt anymore... Do you know how worried we were?"

"Yes... Sister, you have to be healthy!" Both Araa and Abi were reluctant to part from her. They both hugged her with their entire being.

Ira couldn't help but feel happy as she lovingly caressed their tiny head as she softly placed a gentle kiss on their foreheads.

Araa was overjoyed while Abi was blushing hard behind his ears. The twins were really cute.

A gentle knock on the door disturbed their happy time.

A woman who looked like she was on her late forties appeared before them. The twins jaw dropped at the sight of the woman.

"Lady Mia!" In a unison the twins called out her name as they rushed towards her and clinged onto her sides.

Lady Mia was one beautiful woman with blond hair and emerald green eyes. She was very fair with a beautiful face.Seeing her made Ira wonder in awe.

'Do people get more beautiful as they age? My god she looks so pretty.'

"Lady Ira, it's nice to meet you. I'm Mia. From now onwards, I shall be taking care of your personal wellbeing as long as you stay her."

"But Lady Mia, why would you do that? There are a lot of maids in this palace."

"Araa, It must be our brother. I think he asked her to take care of sister. After all our brother only trusts The Mehta clan and besides Lady Mia is also a human like sister. Ira's opinion of him improved a lot after hearing a piece of information about him.

She had a weird expression on her face without knowing how to express it. She couldn't understand whether she was feeling happy or sad... But one thing which she understood was she liked the feeling Lady Mia gave her...
