"Impossible, impossible, impossible, impossible! Where did this thing come from?! Why don't I know of him?!" In an entirely different dimension, a golden-haired angel woman was pulling on her hair as she used her powerful eyes to observe the cripple that was Victor.
The Goddess Ilias was placed in disbelief and anger, as shown how the Heaven was abnormally shifting, following the waves crashing on her mind. The more she looked at Victor who was playing with his phone, the greater was her wrath.
However, despite that, she wasn't making a single move against him. She only looked and cursed: No movements, no magic, no kill order… Only observing.
In normal circumstances, even to the slightest offense thrown against her, she would have immediately casted a judgement bolt at the offender. Even then, people would assume that he was a sinner.
After all, who doesn't like the Goddess Ilias? The Goddess that Created the World, gave birth to Humanity, and the one who saved everyone from the great threat that was the First Monster Lord?
However, in the entire history unknown to everyone except her, Victor could be considered the first person to come out alive after insulting her a bit in the temple dedicated to her.
Of course, that was not an act of mercy. She only wished to destroy something unknown like Victor, but she couldn't do so. Why?
That is because of Victor's special constitution.
In this world, there exists four main elements and two supreme elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Wind are the first four, each managed by an inferior Spirit. Then there are Light and Darkness, managed respectively by her and the First Monster Lord.
Among the first four, there are affinities and repulsions: Fire and Water can't overwhelm the other, Wind and Fire have a good affinity, while Fire and Earth can perfectly fuse together.
However, between Light and Darkness, there is nothing like that. There is extreme repulsion, as such that Light and Darkness can never come in contact no matter what. Even if she herself would try to fight the First Monster Lord alone, an invisible wall that is made up of the laws that make up the universe will form between the two.
Not just physical contact, they can't even attack each other through magic, or even hear what the other has to say. Even things like optical vision are negated, as they can only feel the great void where they stood instead.
In reality, the Goddess and the First Monster Lord don't have any kind of idea about what they are, except that one manages the light and one manages the darkness. Because of that, while peace should normally be possible, they are unable to communicate in any way and thus be cautious against each other, which caused the war and the hatred against each other.
However, Victor was different.
Darkness is the element of the dark, evil, death, destruction and physical. There is no element more destructive than Darkness, capable of reducing anything coming into contact to pure nothingness.
Light is the element of life, holiness, good will, sacred, and spiritual. Unlike the element of darkness, it would be hard for Light to be touched, unless someone with the same quality but opposite energy will attack them. That is because Light affects the spirit, and the angels and the Goddess used it to their advantage to send fatal attacks to foes who are not Monsters, while their opponents can't touch them.
Inside Victor, that kind of repulsion that Ilias and the First Monster Lord felt doesn't exist, more or less. Although he doesn't have the ability to generate Light and Darkness, the soul and the body are perfect substitutes for them.
While for every other human, when they die, their souls will leave their bodies and reach her dimension, Heaven. For Victor, that is not the case.
The synchronization between his body and his soul is so great that they are hardly any different. If he dies, his soul will die along with his body, and the same thing works in reverse. What will happen to him after death is unknown even to her.
She worked for a thousand of years to achieve that kind of result, and now this person comes literally out of nowhere, gets crippled, and is presented to her inside her own temple with a constitution she wished to possess ever since she gained will.
Yes, it's a good thing for him to appear here, because her work will be shortened by a great deal. However… It is insulting to everything she did in the previous 1'000 years…
So many plans to guide great heroes to kill the current Monster Lord of their generations, so many plans to split the allies and the enemies, so many plans to hide her own great plan… Some failed and caused a backlash ranging from a mere hero's death to the destruction of half of her Heaven, others succeeded and rewarded her with a decade of peace before another Monster Lord took the previous one's place.
It was incredible how even the current Monster Lord, the 16th one, was able to take the throne of Queen at the young age of 15 even when she was surrounded by powerful Queen-class Monsters.
If only she would have lost, it would be so easy to eliminate the cursed Fateburn bloodline… But she is apparently asking too much.
Because, after all, everything is thrown in the cesspool!
She only had to wait a thousand of years, and half of her current plans would have been instantly completed! It was the equivalent of Ilias wearing a sign telling: 'Hey, just fucking spit on me.'
What did she work for in these past 1'000 years? What she was really looking for is now here, even if crippled! Now she only needs a way to know more about him, as she is genuinely sure that she has never seen his face anywhere in the previous 20 years, and a way to make him leave from Ilias Village so she can begin her new plans.
However, she also can't neglect her previous plans. What if Victor dies? What will she be able to do since he won't go to Heaven? The device on his hands might have something about him, how can she take it out of his hands without making him suspicious, as he was tightly holding on it?
*Bang!* Due to her thoughts mixing up in an annoying way, Ilias slammed a fist on the golden throne made by her angels, cracking it.
It was like an emergency call, as a fleeting figure approached her as soon as possible after hearing that bang. A woman flying with three pairs of angelic wings reached the location in front of Ilias and quickly folded her feathered wings before she fell on one knee.
The woman in question was surprisingly naked, which wasn't something that Ilias normally tolerated among her ranks, but gave a special permission to her because she is always busy with the gathering of important information and overseeing the entire angelic force.
Her hair had an uncolored unusual tone, grey; it was wavy and voluptuous, as she likely cut them between the incoming centuries. A pair of small wings protruded from where her ears are supposed to be, mixed with her voluptuous grey hair. A large golden halo that was big enough to fit her entire curvaceous and elegant body floated over her head.
"My Goddess, Eden is here to obey your will!" The only Seraph remaining in the Heaven, Seraph Eden, introduced herself to the Goddess that created her. At first glance, it was clear that Ilias was truly enraged for some reason, so Eden expected to be given an extermination order.
However, Ilias' order took her by extreme surprise.
"Dress up and equip yourself, you will be a Guardian Angel until further notice."
"...For whom, my Goddess? Is it perhaps the son of Daystar?" Eden clenched her fists at the second sentence, as if she was angry against the person she mentioned. But fortunately for her, it is someone else.
"No, it's a crippled human-like creature going by the name of Victor, in Ilias Village. The command of the angel army will be left to Cherub Wormiel for now, notify her later." After saying that, Ilias' tone turned much heavier than before.
"Under my absolute order, do not make contact with the 'thing', limit yourself to protect its life at any cost, even if you have to lose a wing or two. You can let him mingle with humans and monsters alike, as long as it won't end with his death. I want you to report me anything noteworthy about him once in a while; and once again, do not make him know about your existence.
His importance on my plans is as great as the son of Daystar. And unlike that brat, there is absolutely nothing that can be done once Victor dies, because his soul will never be able to reach Heaven. Do not delude me, Eden."
"Yes! I'll depart at once!" Eden's wings spread out from her back once again as she took flight and left from the sacred ground where Ilias lived.
...
It was the morning of the next day at this time.
Dinner was really delicious, outside of Victor's expectations. He heard about Luka's apparently good cooking skills, but he was still a bit biased against the things that an era like this might have.
After all, people here didn't have any kind of technology, not counting Grangold and Promestein's laboratory. So, he didn't have any expectations for this village's food; however, Luka proved him wrong with that assumption, and exceeded everything with his kitchen wares.
However, while the food was great, the rest wasn't. Sometimes insects crawled around and Victor took the job of killing them, which kind of disgusted him a bit; that, and the bed was also uncomfortable, so it took a couple of hours before he could finally relax and sleep.
It was uncomfortable, too uncomfortable… He had little sleep. But for someone like him who always sleeps around 6 or 7 hours due to school, they are enough since he was used to his school's time.
Knocks at his door woke Victor from his sleep. He rubbed his eyes with one hand while the other flew at his left, where the 'alarm clock' is supposed to be. However, his hand only went through air before he rolled out of the bed.
His bandaged leg impacted with the floor, and a painful shock ran through his body, completely waking Victor up.
"FUCK!"
A second later, the door opened and Luka came out from it. For a moment, he placed the wooden trail on his hands over the small table before reaching for Victor.
"Let me help you!" He said before lifting Victor up and placing him on the bed. "Is everything okay?"
"Ugh… Y… Yeah… I-I just forgot about what happened yesterday, don't worry…" Victor stuttered after a pained grunt.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes… Anyway, why did you come?" Victor asked.
Luka sighed and replied. "It's morning, so it is my job to pass out the breakfast for those who had paid for it. Sorry if you were still sleeping."
"No, it's not a problem." Victor pushed himself away from the bed and reached for his wheelchair without any help, before he put himself comfortable. "Anyway, thank you for worrying about me, I appreciate the thought."
"If you don't need anything else…" Luka asked and Victor replied.
"Well, there is actually something I'd like to ask you."
"What is it?" Luka looked at Victor.
"...Do you know where the bathroom is?"
Luka raised one arm and pointed outside the door. "Out of there, on the first door of the hall from the dining room."
"Thanks." After that, Luka left and closed the door behind him, leaving Victor by himself. He looked on the table and saw a glass of water, a fried omelette, and a green salad for breakfast. The good smell assaulted his nose and Victor forgot about the pain he felt before, but there was something else he had to do before eating…

After a day, he should have obtained some money… 18 Golds, huh? Time to upgrade the production quantity, then.
[Current Production: 3 Gold/Hour]
[Basic Production: 3 Gold/Hour]
[Current Multiplier: 1x]
[Automatic Wood Cutter: (1 Gold/Hour)]
[Automatic Stone Retriever: (2 Gold/Hour)]
[Coal Mine: 50 Gold]
Great, so they stack over each other. It would be too slow if he had to switch production to obtain a bit more money. Anyway, now he has to save up for that Coal Mine, which will take just another day of wait.
Other options might be blocked for the moment, as there is no way that the system has only three producers to give him money. It could be that, just like the Tycoon games he played before, other options will be unlocked when he bought a specific thing or fulfilled certain conditions.
Victor closed the system and focused on eating his breakfast. There was nothing to do except for waiting, and maybe he can take his time to visit the village.
The Store's items cost too much compared to the stuff here, but here the prices are more reasonable. Even a meal costs 1 Gold.
After eating and doing his daily business, Victor began to wheel out of the inn to try to see what good was here in this place that can make him stay here instead of instantly using the Rebirth option.
It was morning, and people were working on the fields with a tired expression. Meanwhile, children were closed in their houses, probably resting a bit more.
The village in itself was just like one would expect out of a fantasy world: Streets made of compressed soil so that it won't get too ruined during storms; houses made out of wood with foundations of stone; and the fields were around thrice as big as the houses, surrounded by a wooden fence to keep away stray animals.
Turning around, a small hill with a stone building on top entered in his field of vision. It was a large temple that extended widely at the sides, surrounded by tall walls and templar guards.
Of course, that was the Temple of Ilias, the reason why many people traveled from around the continent and arrived here, which was to get in the temple during the 1st of May to celebrate the birthday of Ilias and become new Heroes.
Speaking of which, here comes a group of them.
Because Monster Girls in this world are stronger than humans, people are forced to go in groups so they have better chances of escaping or winning, depending on the Monster Girl who ambushed them, or so that is what Victor knows about since he was kind of a fan of this game.
Played for the porn, stayed for the plot.
The group of heroes was made up by two men with strong iron shields and sharp swords sheathed on their waists, wearing cool-looking armors made of steel and gold. Meanwhile, following behind them was a couple of twins with blonde long hair, wearing light clothes: One is clearly a spearwoman, while the other is holding a bow and quiver behind her back.
It was a balanced group capable of dealing with strong or fast monsters depending on the formation they are using. If it would be a flying monster or a tough one, there would be some difficulties, but it would depend on the capabilities of each member.
Judging from how everyone else is welcoming them
At this time, the sea between this and other continents should be inaccessible, and thus only weak heroes are here. No matter how they look, they can't really do anything noteworthy.
Besides, they really got a good life… Heroes are able to get anything almost for free, or outright gifted to them. Meanwhile, everyone else like Victor has to pay the full price for anything.
"Meh, it's not like these Heroes are worth anything…" Victor wheeled away. But, for some kind of extreme misfortune, his tiny whisper that shouldn't be logically heard from anyone except himself caught the ears of one of the twins.
She turned around and set her gaze to Victor. Her eyes narrowed, seeing the identity of the person who insulted her and her group.
"What did you say?!" One of the twins approached Victor with a frown on her face. Victor wheeled around at 180° and faced the blonde woman that was wearing a simple chainmail and a red short skirt, with red leather shoes over black stockings.
"What?"
"I heard your words, don't try to run away!" The woman pointed a finger at Victor, making him raise an eyebrow.
"Nevermind the fact that I can't even run if I wanted… How the fuck did you hear me?" Victor sized up the woman, but didn't find anything suspicious about her.
Seeing his gaze, the woman covered her large chest and glared at Victor. "Are you a pervert?! What's with that gaze?!"
"Shut up, assface! I am not in the mood to listen to your crap. You'd think people would at least have the decency to not pick a fight with a cripple, and here I smell the crap you are trying to cover me with."
"Sarah! Stop it, it's embarrassing!" The other twin approached this woman and shouted. However, Sarah didn't seem to care as she glared at Victor.
"Do you want to see how I'll make sure that you won't be able to have any children, pervert?!"
Victor clicked his tongue and roared back at her. "Do you want to see how I'll start to make a child with you at this very moment, you filthy bitch?! Come if you have the balls, I don't need legs to rape you!" He started to wheel towards her in a threatening manner, but was stopped by one of the tanks of the hero group who placed one hand behind his wheelchair, grabbing the handle.
"Please forgive my partner, boy. I don't understand what happened to Sarah, but I will reprimate her for her behavior after this."
Victor's glare softened as he turned around, finding a bearded man wearing an iron helmet. An exasperated sigh escaped from Victor before he told him. "Make sure to hold your dog in a leash the next time."
"Once again, I apologize in my partner's stead. I hope that this Gold can make you forget about this situation."
The man put one hand in his money bag and retrieved 20 Gold Coins that he passed to Victor. Victor accepted the money and snorted. "Make sure that dog won't appear in front of me ever again."
"Yes." After saying that, the man approached the twins, with one holding back the other, and pulled on Sarah's shoulder. "Let's go, Sarah, we have to talk now."
"Tch…" Sarah clicked her tongue as she was being pulled away against her will. "We will see what face you will make tonight when I get you… Human."
No one heard her strange words, but they clearly held an ominous meaning against Victor, who turned around to visit the rest of the village. At least, now he is 20 Gold Coins closer to the Coal production of his System.
…
Victor Luis' (future) Trivia Book: Angels
Angels are one of the three main species, along with humans and monsters. They are completely shaped up personally by the Goddess of Light, Ilias.
Usually, they resemble a human woman with feathered wings and a light halo, unlike certain biblical descriptions about angels… However, due to the experimentation of the Goddess Ilias on particular subjects, there are more monstrous shapes among angels.
The body of an Angel is entirely made up of Holy Energy. By their will, they can shift between physical and spiritual planes, making their opponents' attacks useless as they will pass through their bodies. And once they are about to attack someone, they will become physical again and strike their target, before turning immaterial once again.
The only things that can harm an Angel in their spiritual plane are: Angel Halo, the sword that the hero Heinrich possessed during his onslaught in the Heavens corrupted by the energy of countless Angels taking a spiritual shape.
One would expect that kind of dull blade to not do any damage, but it's eldritch shape is simply there to conceal the real, sharp sword tinged in the blood of many corpses. The abomination that is Angel Halo is only a spiritual blade that can absorb dark and holy energy within itself, while the real physical blade is the one that Heinrich used before it took this form. Only people who touched the weapon can understand the meaning of these words.
Then there is the Dark Energy. As long as the quality between the holy and dark energy is the same, then the Dark Energy can damage an angel, but that is only on the condition that the spell or attack made of Dark Energy takes spiritual properties, otherwise it will simply pass through them like normal attacks, since Dark Energy embodies the physical plane.
The last thing that could normally harm an Angel is another attack of Holy Energy, fighting the fire with fire.
An alternate way is to disrupt their ability to switch between the physical and spiritual plane in some way, such as the usage of the Four Towers, or the angel holding mixed genes like Promestein and Luka.
The Angels, unlike Humans, are split into 10 categories, which correspond to the Hierarchy of Angels: Angels, Archangels, Principalities, Powers, Virtues, Dominions, Thrones, Cherubims, Seraphims, and then there is the Goddess herself.
Depending on their grade, once an Angel is killed, the time between their death and their resurrection will vary between 1 day up to a hundred years, like Seraph Eden.
However, their immortality is not flawless. Depending on the way they die, the angel in question might never have the chance of resurrecting. Lucifina is an example: She forced herself to remain on the physical plane; and when she died due to an epidemic, her heart stopped beating.
That is considered being dead in human standards, but she is most likely alive from another point of view, because her body didn't spread out as holy energy. Her will ultimately left her angelic body for some reason, leaving an angel with 0 intelligence disguised as a corpse.
It is also worth mentioning that not only angels can get pregnant through intercourse with humans, but they, just like Monsters, can also gain energy from semen just like Succubi do. But they are not willing to be compared in this way, as they detest the existence of the Succubus race more than anyone else.
Once an Angel is banished from Heaven, they are called Fallen Angels, and there is no way to differentiate between the two.
