I grabbed Dani's hand and held her back, gaining her attention. "There's something missing," I stated with a mischievous smile, my smile growing by Dani's look of utter confusion. I pulled the velvet box that I'd grabbed before we left the pool house out of my jacket pocket and popped it open. "This." Her bottom lip immediately started to wobble as a quiet whimper escaped her lips.

She immediately thrust her left hand out to me without question. I pulled the ring from the confines of the box and slipped it onto her respective finger, the fit perfect. She hiccuped slightly before jumping on me as best as she could, frantically kissing me. I finally broke the kiss, realizing that my parents were probably waiting for us in the car.

"C'mon, baby. We gotta house to look at," I whispered, grabbing her winter jacket she'd shucked off when we'd arrived yesterday and held it up for her to put it on. Getting into the car, my dad turned to look at me.
