"Is that the best you can do?" Nevaeh mocked with labored breath as she bent over her knees and coughed out the thick liquid that had pooled in her mouth. Her hand slowly reached for her neck that burned with pain, and she winced under her breath.
She could still feel the pressure of the force at which he had violently squeezed her neck.
Nevaeh had her eyes tightly closed, completely unwilling to open them and look at the Hydregor which was still hovering around her and waiting for it's opportunity to do it's master's bidding.
She strained her ear to hear him move against the ground but all she heard was the growling sound of the Hydregor floating over her face, and she tightened the piece of cloth she had ripped from the hem of her shirt to bind her eyes, behind her head.
"How long do you think you can hold on to doing that?" She heard him ask, as he stepped on a twig behind her, making his presence known to her.
