Different Personalities

"I have three personalities" Ethan said to the three in the room.

"Eh? Leo and Matthew didn't understand the meaning of his statement which led them to making this kind of reaction.

Amelia just looked at the three boys wondering maybe this was the reason Ethan had been pacing around the room.

"I'm going to bed, good night" Amelia said yawning afterwards.

"Don't you want to know about the three personalities he claims to have?"

Matthew asked Amelia as he thought she would be more curious than the two of them.

"I've heard about it before no need to hear it again" she said and left the room after not giving anyone a chance to question her again.

The both boys were surprised when they heard she knew about his Personalities and it made them question more whether this was a prank or it was true.

"I know the both of you don't believe me and I can't prove the other two yet unless we are in a type of scenario like when we were in the dungeon today"

They tried to think of a place where he showed a different personality but nothing came to mind except for...

"Are you talking about the time you fought those goblins?"

Leo had finally caught on and asked.

"Yes, I showed both of the hidden personalities there, when I fought the one who had the will to live and the other ones who wasted my time"

He went cold for a second when he said the last part.

"Before, I could control these emotions at will but I can't right now"

"So... I hope you understand that you're acting crazy right?" Matthew said to Ethan, those were the only things that came to his mind when he heard Ethan's words.

"I know it sounds weird telling you guys that I have multiple personalities and I can't control it, but there is nothing I can do about it, for now"

Matthew and Leo looked at Ethan doubtfully, they had known something was different about their friend but they didn't know what it was.

"So what do we do now since you've told us a little about yourself Ethan?"

Matthew asked Ethan not believing the story about his multiple personalities as the full gist of why he had been acting differently.

"I don't know what else to make you believe, but for now just trust me and I'll explain myself to the both of you when the time is right.

He said to his two best friends, convincing them to believe in him.

They still had doubts but they chose to trust him, nodding their heads they left his room moments later going to sleep.

He also got on his bed, he had been exhausted and after a few thoughts he travelled to the land of dreams.

A few hours later.

It was now morning and Ethan slowly got off his bed wearing his slippers and heading to the bathroom where he brushed his teeth and took his bath.

He was now back in the room and saw a lady who wore pajamas sitting on the chair which was now next to the bed sound asleep.

This was Amelia, she probably had come to watch him while he slept and dozed off, he hadn't even noticed her when he woke up.

He then carried Amelia carefully not to wake her up and placed her on the bed giving her a light kiss on the forehead and later left the room wearing casual clothes.

"Good morning" Leo said to Ethan as he was the first one that woke up and already having breakfast.

"Good morning, do you have any plans for today" Ethan asked after he had sat down and ordered his meal.

"Not really, was just planning on training before we went for our next raid which was tomorrow right?"

"So you planned on training the whole day?"

"Well no I just don't have anything else to do but train"

While the conversation was going on Amelia had already woken up and headed downstairs.

"Good morning" she said and sat down not looking at Ethan's direction.

"Good morning" both Ethan and Leo said, Ethan having a smirk on his face as he looked at Amelia.

Amelia noticed his gaze but didn't turn to face him as she was embarrassed.

When she found herself laying on Ethan's bed and not hers she was sure Ethan had caught her which was what made her embarrassed because he knew she came to watch him sleep.

Matthew had finally woke up some minutes later, he was the laziest out of the four.

He came downstairs and greeted everyone sitting down and immediately ordering.

"So what are we doing for today, I'm down with just staying in bed" Matthew said.

"I won't allow you to stay in bed all day, you're going to train with me" Leo said to Matthew as he couldn't stand lazy people, he didn't still understand how they became best of friends.

"Leo, we just trained yesterday, why do you want us to train today? don't you get tired of training?"

"No Matthew, I don't get tired of training and you should learn it too as you can't depend on only your weapon to help you in battle"

The both of them continued to argue and Ethan just had a smile on his face feeling a sense of deja Vu when he saw them arguing.

A tear fell down from his right eye and he cleaned it off, Amelia smiled seeing his actions as she knew what he was thinking about.

Leo and Matthew postponed their argument, Matthew had told Leo he can't argue on an empty stomach so he would continue the argument when he had eaten his fill.

The food arrived later on and the three ate, Leo ate his food before they came downstairs and was just sitting down there thinking of comebacks he would use on Matthew.

The four now walked out of the inn following behind Matthew, he told them he knew his place around here as his dad always comes here mostly to sell his goods.

They all followed Matthew to a market where they saw different people calling for customers and some customers even pricing their goods to get it at a cheaper rate.

They entered a shop where they saw a man taking his goods to the back of the shop.

"Sir John, let me help you carry that" Matthew collected the box from the man and helped him carry it to the back.

"Matthew? what are you doing here, is you father around?" sir John asked Matthew seeing as he was not with his father.

"Well I'm going on a trip with my friends and I just decided to check up on you sir" Matthew said carrying another box to the back.

"Okay... it's nice to hear you are traveling to places, and you also you have good friends too, it's nice to meet you all"

The other three greeted sir John and helped him carry the other stuff he wanted to keep at the back freeing the space of the shop.

"sir John I wanted you to help me hand this letter to my father the next time he comes to your shop, I'll really appreciate it"

Matthew handed the man the letter, they had now finished catching up like old times and he even gave them some low grade monsters cores which they all collected happily and later left his shop.

"So was that why you dragged us out of the inn?" Amelia asked Matthew telling him she could have helped him send the message even if he needed it delivered to his father right away.

"Well I didn't know how far we would be going so it felt good to see someone who is close to my father" Matthew said with a smile on his face.

The three of them didn't ask Matthew what was inside the letter because they knew he needed some things kept to himself and he also didn't tell them just smiling.

They also bought things for their rooms because Amelia told them to, she probably just wanted to shop for herself and Ethan but didn't want to feel unfair so she told them to pick things of their liking and it shouldn't pass two bags.

All of them had finished shopping but they all carried mountains of bags not for them but for Amelia.

The four of them reached the inn and took everything they bought to Amelia's room, well they all dropped it at the front of her room door because she told them all not to enter her room.

They now walked back to their rooms

"So what are we doing now, the sun still shines bright as ever" Leo asked the two who were beside him.

"I'm heading off to bed, you guys can go train without me"

Leo then stopped Matthew ready to continue the argument where they left off.

'That's right I totally forgot I could teach them this'

Ethan thought to himself remembering what he could have taught them from when his memories got unsealed.

The both of them continued to argue when Ethan said

"Enough, we are going to train" he said with a commanding voice which made the bickering between Matthew and Leo come to a halt, then he continued.

"I want to show the both of you the art of cultivation"
