Meeting an old friend

I was leaving school with Maia on my right and she was happier than when I saw her in the morning and more relaxed but I then saw Mr Neil with the car but I wasn't going to let Maia walk by herself, "Mr Neil I will be home at a later time."

"May I ask why?" He asked to which I just replied, "I will walk Maia back and then come home later, besides I need to check some things out."

"Alright sir, I'll inform sir and madam about this," he replied to which he nodded and drove Amelia and Freya back, "alright let's go now."

"Yes," me and her then started to walk and along the way we bought some supplies for myself because I literally came to school today with an empty bag but I got a really good deal on the supplies thanks to Maia so I only spent $13 all together, "Orion can I ask about your life before you came here?"

"Sure I don't mind, besides it's nothing special, just tragic in my opinion," I started. "First of all my parent's died when I was three and I had to live with my uncle which was absolute hell for me but the upside was that someone did help me out in a way but I had to put in a lot of work and this is why I'm strong and smart."

I finished explaining my story even though I left out some key details of my life but she can know about that in the future not now, "can I ask if I can get as strong as you?"

Strong as me, sorry but only a few people can be as strong as me Maia, "sorry to say this but not not to my level but you can get to a level higher than that of those in school if you want but not mine."

When I said that she nodded and said, "then please help me workout."

"Sure thing but I'm a strict teacher."

"That's fine, I'm a good student," she replied which I smiled at even though she couldn't see it, "by the way I read your report, I heard you're diabetic?"

"Yeah, I'am," she said to which she added, "type 2 so I can get rid of it I just need help."

"It won't be easy but I will help, alright," I told her to which I then saw a face I wouldn't have thought to have seen in a long time, "Orion please can we take a different route?"

"Why?"

"Because the person in front is someone who you don't want to deal with," she said to which I chuckled, "it's going to be fine Maia beside I know him."

I then approached the guy, he had his normal styled black hair and an amber eyes to which he wore a white suit and but had his top button loose, "it's been a while hunter hasn't it?"

"It sure has how you've been Severn and why use my nickname." I said to which he had his usual smirk and then he threw a punch to my face but I blocked it and was going to deliver a knee but he also blocked it, "still got it huh?"

"Sure do, but where have you've been?" I asked him because I haven't seen him in ages, we were brothers even though we aren't related but we always had each other's back when we trained but he had a different teacher but they knew each other, "Maia come here why are you still there?"

She then came but was shaking, "why are you scared he isn't going to attack you."

"Well because he is known in our school as a monster and no one want to mess with him so I'm scared I might offend him," she said to which Severn replied, "that is true but I won't hurt beside you're an innocent person, I don't attack anyone innocent."

She then calmed down a bit and I told her, "Maia, Severn is my brother like you're my sister so he won't attack rather he will protect you like I do."

She then was surprised by what I said, "she's your sister?"

"Not related but like how we are," I specified for him, "ah now that makes sense but what made you do that?"

"I'll explain as we walk," I said an we all headed to Maia's home to drop her off and on the way I explained what has happened and why she is my sister to which he understood and complied to help us and even said that he will protect Maia to which I thanked but then I asked him about his story and he explained.

"I moved here four years ago and have been here since, you can tell that I'm in Bell academy in my second year but no one messes with me, not even the apostle's do," he explained but 'apostle's', "what are the apostle's?"

"They are the highest ranking guards for the goddess and Mr Severn is the only one to have beaten them," Maia answered to which I nodded, now I had another threat in the game so I need to deal with, "Maia?"

"Yes sir," she jumped when Severn said her name, "you don't have to be so stiff with me beside I'm your brother now so you can relax with me," he said which I felt happy he said that, "his right about that."

"But if people in school find out that might be bad for you," she said to which he replied, "I beat everyone in the school so they can do nothing to me and besides I only care for family nothing else."

What he said was true, family was something that should be your number one in life and even if you're a family by name and not blood that's even more important so now that Maia was in our family it meant she was important to us and no one is allowed to touch her. "Maia, can I have your phone?"

"Huh, oh I don't have one," she said to which me and Severn tilted our heads, "why not?"

"Because it got broken," she said to which I sighed, 'Freya I'm going to beat you when I come back.'

"Alright I'll buy one for you," Severn stated which Maia got surprised and tried to deny it but Severn didn't listen one bit and said he will buy it and have it ready by tomorrow which she just accepted but she said she will pay him back.

After a while we arrived at her home which seemed quite run down but it could be called home. "I'll see you tomorrow then."

"Yeah see ya tomorrow," I said the same with Severn as Maia went into her home so it was only me and Severn but I felt a bit nostalgic being with Severn. Me and him have been in hell for most of our lives and knew each other really well and it felt good to see him again, "hey Orion up for some food?"

"Sure, to be honest I haven't a lot today so that can help," I told him and we went to a nearby restaurant to eat and along the way we chatted about what we used to do in the past and still might do it if the circumstance were up but I don't want to get in any trouble yet.

"Here we are, this place is one of my favourites," he said as I saw a fancy restaurant which before I wouldn't be able to enter easily but now I could and when we went in we were greeted and given a seat, "so how is the fat ass?"

"He's good, still strong and crazy but he's good," he replied, "I heard he started a business, is that true?"

"Yeah it is and I'm going to work when I graduate so I have to get ready for that," he said to which I asked, "what type of business even is it?"

"It's hard to explain, think of it like hiring protectors or detectives. Someone pays and we do our job either protecting someone or investigating a crime to catch the criminal and then we get paid once we finish our job," he explained to which I then started to sweat a bit, 'what is that fat ass thinking?'

"Got any employees?" I asked him because who would want to work for that fat ass, "yeah, special forces, ex mercenary or mercenary that's who are employed."

Now I knew the fat ass was also crazy now, "what is that guy thinking sometime?"

"I know what you mean but he is doing it to help people not for fun," he said to which I said, "elaborate."

"He charges high if the person is a high status person and low for a person like Maia and besides we get money from the government because of how he operates and what connection's he has," he explained to which I nodded.

We then ordered our food and got it around twenty minutes later but while eating something was bothering me, I wanted to see what the apostle's had to offer but I didn't know what they were like, "Severn are the apostle's strong?"

"The apostle's? Well to be honest, fucking no," he stated, "compared to you or me they are brat's that only have talent and don't train and to be honest they are annoying so you shouldn't be bothered by them and if they do fight you, don't hold back."

"That's rare for you to say don't hold back," I stated to which he explained, "don't hold back because they need to know they are below us, they act high and mighty because of these girls and I want to show them that they are nothing once they actually fight."

"Makes sense but you know the problem if I fight seriously right?" I told him to which he nodded, "they will suffer injuries that won't heal for a long time or even in decade."

"I know but believe me or not the apostle's now will be targeting Maia," he said, "are trying to bait me in to murder them or something."

"I'm being serious, because of Freya they have had their eye's on her but now that you've stepped in they will not hold back against her," he explained, "alright but you have to be there so you can stop me if I go too far."

"Deal," he said as we finished our food and then we paid evenly for our food and then we were walking around and then I got a phone call, "hello?"

"Orion, can you come home? Something happened," I heard Miss Weber's voice but she sounded worried so I said, "I'll be there as quickly as I can."

"Severn, I need to go but I will see you tomorrow at school but pick up Maia if you can," I told him and he nodded and said, "see ya."

I then ran back as quickly as I could to which it took around thirty minutes but I opened the door and saw Miss Weber but she was crying, "madam what happened."

"Freya, she attacked Amelia and me and then she locked herself in her room," I looked and saw bruises on her and then I saw Amelia and saw she had bruises on her shoulder, "that's it."

I walked to her room and I banged on the door, "Freya let me in!"

I continued to bang on the door but she said, "you have to leave, you don't deserve to be here!"

"I said I opened the door!" i said again and banged on the door even harder to which it started to crack, "open the fucking door!"

I then kicked the door and it broke it and Freya was surprised and she was going to run but I grabbed her by her hair and dragged her downstairs. "you think you can do this and get away with it, just cause mr Weber and Neil aren't here mean nothing!"

When arrived downstairs I threw her near Miss Weber, "Madam I have had enough of this and I'm quite a patient person. Please give her a punishment or call sir to deal with this, this has gone on far enough."

Miss Weber looked at Freya and then said, "your right Orion this has gone on for far too long and I have done nothing so I need to put my foot down."

"By today you will get transferred to a different school and study there to learn to be a better person."
