The World's Breakdown

Everything was going smoothly until something decided to intervene, and the system was introduced. This brought about a new change that the residents of Earth are forced to adapt to. What will happen now that everything that was once thought of as fantasy turned out to be reality? ------‐--------------‐--------------‐--------------‐--------------‐-------- Hey everyone, author here, I plan on regularly updating this story since this is something I started a while ago but has been sitting on the backburner for a while. Hope you all enjoy, be sure to comment/review and let me know what you think! A Dangerous situation

While I was looting the last house for the day, I noticed a very necessary item in the system shop. It would cost the remainder of my points, but it was worth it. It was called an Astral toilet. It basically sent any waste the was flushed into it, in a spatial dimension, that would be incinerated after some time. This would be great until I could get my builder golems to install plumbing for my home and any future homes. Sadly electricity was the only amenity that was in the shop for me. That was fine though, since that alone would be enough until I could get my golems to make the rest. The main things I looted from each home was all of the food, bottled water, and any wooden furniture that could be broken down. I couldn't really find any stone, so I will have to add a mine to the list of things to get made.

Eventually, we headed back home, and I noticed that the stone walls spanning across all of my land were finished. There was also a metal gate in front. I assigned the builder golems to start making a farm home to house farm animals, then I used what little stone I had left to make three miner golems and four farmer golems. I had the miner golems find a good place to mine, then told then to have the builder golems build something to surround the entrance to it. Then I handed what seeds I had, apple seeds, grape seeds, and some wheat to the farmer golems and assigned them to find a good location to farm them. After all that was set and done, I had the golems guarding me, go out and I told them to warn me if any enemies were coming towards the walls.

I found out that two of my builder golems evolved, so I showed those two how plumbing worked from the files I downloaded on my laptop and computer. I had them sit there and learn it until they were confident in being able to build a plumbing system. Then, I sat down with a pen and some paper to write out a list of things that need to get done in the immediate future. Right now, I need to get my golems to evolve, and gain points so I can purchase farm animals from the system along with more seeds. Then I need to clear out that goblin dungeon, I could do all of these things simultaneously. I need to expand my land once it is close to being filled up, add a few more homes in case I encounter a few more survivors or 'Friendly' fantasy species. Avoid direct contact with anyone if I can, and communicate through my golems. I'll have to make a mask of some kind or buy one through the system.

As I was finishing up my list, I received a new system notification.

[You have been issued two Quests.]

[Clear out the Goblin Dungeon.]

Goblins have always been a disgusting hindrance to the majority of the other races across the multiverse. Clear out the infestation that is currently in your way.

[Reward: System credits, A new building.]

[Time Limit: N/A]

[Save the Goblin Prisoners.]

Some people of varying races have been captured and the goblins will do unspeakable things to them if they aren't saved in time.

[Reward: System credits]

[Time Limit: 36 Hours]

Shit! I screamed in my head when I looked at that second quest. The system didn't even give me time to complete the first quest if the second is anything to go by. Unless the prisoners weren't deep in the dungeon. I have time, but the longer they are there, the worse it may get. Even if they won't have 'unspeakable' things done to them until the time limit is done, I still wanted to get them out. I didn't really have the materials to make anymore stone golems, so I started making two golems through magic out of steel. I had one wielding a staff, and the other had two swords. I imagined the one with the staff being able to cast basic magic and healing magic, since I'm sure the people would be hurt. If it weren't for the fact that my Golemancy skill ranked up, I don't think I would be able to make a golem with magic. I then made a few more golems out of stone using magic that could utilize different magical elements. I hope this is enough, otherwise I don't know what else I can do.

I made one more golem that the system called Communication Golem. This golem, and others like it, would be hooked up to my computer, allowing me to see through them, talk through them, and have a computer generated map of where they went.. It looked like a small parrot. I sent out about half of my offensive golems with the new ones to rescue the prisoners. Hopefully they won't have to go too deep to do so. I also had the builder golems focus strictly on building an apartment building and plumbing in preparation for the new residents, while I created a bunch more builder golems with magic.

I watched over my team of 30 golems from above. I was glad I could see everything in high quality and in color. This situation also made me a bit nervous, but hopefully, with the new steel golems, things would be alright. Whenever I got nervous, I tend to rapidly tap on the ground with my foot. I grabbed some apple juice and made a sandwich as I watched the golems approach, and enter the dungeon. When they entered, the place had moss growing on the walls, looked wet, and probably smelled like goblin feces, if the brown stuff on the ground was anything to go by. There were also wooden staffs across the walls with skulls on top of them. I made sure to tell my golems to watch out for traps. Once I did so, the steel golem with two swords, who took the place as leader, made hand motions to the rest of the golems and started to move slower. There was a small amount of light ahead, probably from a small torch. Ahead was a group of about six goblins sitting down and eating something. The mage and archer golems prepared to attack at long range as the leader golem raised its hand. After a few seconds, spells and arrows were fired. The goblins didn't even get a chance to speak before arrows were lodged in their heads or bodies, and they were bombarded with lightning, fire, and wind.
