He only had me in his heart, treating me like his true younger sister. 

Mother brushed my hair aside and caressed my face searching all the while, to see if I felt any discomfort before turning then glared at the Prince who tried to speak up. 

"crown price I am aware you are excited, but you have arrived without first announcing that you will be visiting. Worst my perfect daughter has fallen ill, please leave and return at another date!" 

Her voice was not loud but it held finality to it. 

The crown prince had a torn look on his face. According to the rules mother could not speak to the crown prince as she did. Normally she would have been charged and beheaded for insubordination but I doubt that mother cared at this point. The crown prince also seems to be holding himself back unwill to bring any harm to my mother. I glared up at him from behind my mother gaining confidence. The fear had disappeared; with mother around, I felt invisible.
