Past glory

DAI'S POV

I snuggled myself in bed with Alpha Jamie's arms wrapped around my naked body.

He pulled me closer and kissed the crock of my neck seductively.

"Stop that!." I said.

He licked my ear lob and bit it gently. "What if I marked you?." He whispered in such horrible words to me.

I quickly pushed him off my body and sat up with my back against the bed frame. 

"Mark me?." I asked, there may be a possibility I was hallucinating his words.

He nodded and then spoke. "Yes."

"I need you to leave!!." I instructed him angrily.

He sighed and nodded at me, he stood up from my bed and got dressed, I watched him get dressed and walked towards my bedroom door, he placed his hand on the doorknob and then looked back at me with a sad look on his face. 

"You reject him tomorrow morning during the elder's meeting." He informed me.

I inhaled. "Yes…" I exhaled while nodding.

"Good." He turned his back to me and twisted the door knob.

I laid back on my bed thinking of what to do and how to carry out such a tortuous idea of his.

I wore an elegant red short dress, with a square collar slim formal with a pair of stilettos. 

I stood in front of my mirror staring at myself for a few seconds before I held on to my purse. I looked around my room, and the memories I had made in this very room came flooding my mind. 

My hands ran through the wall as I walked out of my room, my hand kept moving in a single line till I made it to my front door. I sighed before I stepped out of the house which was only a few blocks away from the pack house.

"There she is!!." I heard the voice of one of the elders say.

I looked up at them, Alpha Jamie was seated at the head of the table and his son Jesus sat beside him.

"Come sit beside me." Jesus smiled at me, his eyes were filled with glitter like a teenager who had fallen in love for the first time.

He stood up and drew the chair backwards for me, I dragged my feet on the hard surface of the wooden floorboard. Jesus bowed slightly to me, he stretched his hand towards me and I placed my hand on him and he kissed the back of my palm.

I sat down at the table of the elders for the first time, I felt the temperature in the room increasing.

"As the mate of the soon-to-be Alpha, we would love to inform you that you are the soon-to-be Luna." 

I gasped in shock, what did they mean Luna?

"Alpha Jamin will be retiring from his position soon." They continue.

"Retiring?." I had never heard of such but to come to think of it, I had not heard a lot of things they have said in this past few hours between yesterday's ceremony and now.

"After the ceremony, it is customary for a wedding ceremony to be held a month after and the coronation of the new Alpha and Luna," Jesus explained to me.

This meant Alpha Jamie would be living on past glory soon and wouldn't be able to control my life any further. 

I smiled at my thoughts. I glanced at Alpha Jamie and then I looked over at Jesus who I smiled at.

"Jesus…" I whispered into his ears.

He immediately turned to me. "Yes?."

"Can we discuss privately?." I asked him.

He nodded and immediately stood up, he looked at the elders one after the other and they all gave him an approving look before I stood up.

We both walked hand in hand for a few minutes without a word before he pulled me into a bedroom which I had never seen before.

"This must be your bedroom." I smiled at me.

He chuckled for an unknown reason. "Yes, it is." 

His hand encircled my waist and pulled me closer, I looked up at him.

'How would he feel if I told him what I have done?.' I asked myself.

"I love you Dai." His husky British tone sent my emotions breaking out of me.

"I am so sorry, I swear I love you…" His arm loosened around me.

"Why are you crying? what are you sorry for?." He asked.

Those were the questions that scared me the most, how could I face him?

"I… Dai Michaelson Reject…"

"No!!." He stopped me before I could finish my sentence.

He grabbed onto my shoulder and shook me vigorously.

"You kissed me when we were just twelve!!, how can you reject me now?." He spoke in a state of confusion and hurt.

I stumbled backwards and found myself sitting on his bed while sobbing.

"I have to reject you, it's better this way," I reassured him as I tried to convince him it was for our own good.

"No, it's not!!. I love you Dai."

"I…" I inhaled and exhaled. "I had sex with your father a few minutes before I came down for the ceremony," I confessed.

I saw his footstep back before my eyes trailed upwards to his face.

"You what?!!." He yelled at me.

I could see the Alpha in him and as well the disgust in his eyes.

"I am very sorry." I apologized.

But there was no apology to fix my mistakes.

"He asked you to reject me, didn't he?." Baer spoke in a stern tone.

I nodded speechlessly.

"He abused you all these years and you think I would hate you rather than my father who was the predictor?." 

"You knew?." 

How could he know and keep quiet all these years?, how…

"My mum knew and when she tried to fight your battles he killed her, she made me promise not to say anything till I was made Alpha!." He explained to me.
