Deeply concerned Chase opens the door swiftly “Regina! What happened? Is everything all right? Please come in.”
Luna Tessa gives him a weak smile while stepping in and says, “I have asked you so many times to call me mother, but you always go for the title first. I didn’t have you in my womb but I claimed you as mine the moment I married your father.”
Chase holds her hand and directs her to the single chair in his room. Once she settles down, he kneels before her on the ground with their clasped hands resting on Luna’s lap.
“Forgive me mother. I don’t intend to hurt you, you know that I don’t. Without you I wouldn’t have been alive.”
“Shh! Don’t speak about that. You have to live son... for us.”
“Is something bothering you? Tell me what can I do?”
“Chase...your father... he doesn’t have much time left.” She lowers her head unable to meet his eyes and her voice wobbles, “I can’t do anything more son.”
