"How many hours will you be training today?" Devon asked, shifting the subject.
She shrugged again. "As long as I have the strength."
"You need to be intentional about your training duration," he advised. "Last time, you trained for six to seven hours."
"Maybe nine or ten?" she gestured.
"Ten hours would be too much for you—"
"I can do it."
"I know you can, but Doctor Susan said you shouldn't push yourself too hard."
She waved off his concern dismissively, as if it were nothing.
Devon's eyes narrowed slightly. Was she calling the doctor's advice a bluff?
"You don't think she knows what she's talking about? Remember, it was you who could barely walk home the other day."
"I'm fine. I can do it."
"Are you doing this to prove a point to me?" Devon asked, though he already knew the answer. He wanted to hear her admit it.
But Olivia avoided his gaze.
"I'll be off to train now. Enjoy your meal."
