The Weakest Otherworlder

In a world where everyone was gifted an opportunity to devour everything in front of them, but what if that opportunity was out of reach? And suddenly a being that they called a God came down and gave everyone a spoon so they could reach them and devour them? Everyone devoured all those opportunities and satiated their greed. Power, wealth, you name it. But there was a person who could only watch those people satiating themselves with a spoonful of power and wealth. So, he prayed to that so-called God. "Please! Just give me an opportunity just like the others, God! Even if it's just a tiny bit! I would really appreciate it!" A young man with messy long gray hair asked God with tears in his eyes as he watched the people around him being killed by Otherworlders. [You have been chosen] [God has gifted you the power to devour all opportunities!] [Welcome, Candidate Alseace LaRoze] "You're kidding, right?" Alseace asked in a trembling voice and forced a smile as he stared at the ability God gave him. "What the fuck am I going to do with this?!" He shouted at God who gave him the ability and glared at the cloudy night. While everyone was given a normal spoon, Alseace LaRoze was given a spoon with a giant hole that even a grain of sand would be hard to pick off with it. Alseace chuckled in disbelief and started laughing as the people around him screamed in agony. "You gave me an ability called Leftover?! Don't joke around!" Alseace screamed his lungs out. [God gave you what you wished for, be grateful]

Chapter 38: What have you done?

"Good morning, Master Carazen. Here's the document that you have requested," A man in a suit said as soon as Carazen came out of the elevator.

Carazen looked at the binder in the man's hand, and he immediately grabbed it at him with a smirk on his face. He then went to his office hurriedly and closed the door behind him, not letting anyone enter.

He looked at the document and he was so happy about it when he saw the report. He then made a phone call as he looked at the pictures of Demon Fragment that were included in the document.

"How much?" Carazen asked as he looked outside the glass wall. "Let's meet and I'll give you the money. I'll share you the location," Carazen said, and then hung up the phone.

Carazen left his office and went straight to the basement to grab his car. He then drove off to the meeting place that he had sent to the person he was talking to earlier.

The place was an abandoned factory, and he was on his own because he didn't want anyone from his guild to know what he was trying to do. He didn't want eyes that might put him in a dangerous situation, especially when Sierra was already warning them about it.

He wasn't scared of getting ambushed because he was an S-Rank Candidate, and nobody could win against him. He had a unique skill that made him different from the other Candidates, and that skill, he had been hiding it from anyone.

He waited for ten minutes inside the empty factory building, and then he heard engine sounds coming from outside. He could tell there were at least two cars, and he could hear the doors slamming not long after that.

Carazen walked and greeted the people that came into the factory as he remembers their faces as if something had happened. The guy who held a big leather bag showed the inside of his bag, and it was the Demon Fragment, a lot of them as well.

"200 grams in total," the man said as he watched Carazen check the fragments inside the bag. "You can check it if you want," he continued.

"No need..." Carazen said with a huge smile on his face. "Here's the key to my car, the money is in the trunk," Carazen tossed his car key at the man.

The man gave the key to his subordinate to check the money for him. He then looked at Carazen and wondered what he was trying to do with those things. He knew it was dangerous, and he knew it would be worth a fortune to certain people. He managed to gather that many because some people thought the same thing, and sold them to him.

"We got all the money, boss," The subordinate said.

"Are we done here?" Carazen asked.

"Yeah, we are done here," The man answered as he tossed the car key back to Carazen.

The moment Carazen caught the car key, the sound of cars could be heard from outside the building. Carazen glanced at the man and noticed that the man was surprised and panicked when they heard it.

"It wasn't me... someone is following us, and I believe it wasn't me that they followed. So, goodbye," Carazen smirked and disappeared into thin air.

Carazen's hidden skill was [Jump], and it allowed him to teleport to his surroundings within 100 meters. It could be used once a minute, and it made him unbelievably hard to catch because of it.

He watched the whole factory that had been surrounded by Agents of Emissary from the top of the building near the factory. He had anticipated something like that would happen, so he wasn't bothered by it. The car he used was a car that was registered under a non-existent person that would be impossible to trace.

"You think the Emissary didn't anticipate this as well?" A man's voice could be heard from behind Carazen.

Carazen was shocked as he turned around and saw Julius staring at him with a few Agents of Emissary. He then realized it wasn't a problem since they were just A-Rank Candidates, and he could use his [Jump] skill again.

"Even so, what can you do?" Carazen asked back with a smirk.

"Nothing, but we have witnessed what you're doing down there and the content inside that bag. Even if you run away, we, the Emissary will hunt you down as soon as you leave," Julius answered as his hair got blown by the strong wind.

"What makes you think I would leave? You're nothing but an A-Rank Candidate," Carazen smirked and immediately used his [Jump] skill.

All the Agents of the Emissary that were with Julius, all of them got decapitated in a blink of an eye. Julius turned around, but a dagger was already in his throat. A single movement would cut his neck deep, so he decided to raise his hand.

"Have you reported this? And who knows about this?" Carazen asked as he slowly made a small cut in Julius' neck.

"Who knows..." Julius answered.

"Still playing words, I see, but you're playing a game with the wrong person," Carazen said and cut off Julius' head, but he realized it was just an afterimage. "Leaving the dead bodies of your own subordinates, what a heartless person you are," Carazen looked around.

Julius was running away, and when he thought he was safe, Carazen appeared in front of him and punched him in the face really hard. He tried to stay conscious, but his body didn't listen to him and collapsed as he slowly lost consciousness.

Julius slowly opened his eyes and his head was spinning like crazy, and then he saw Carazen sitting on the table. Carazen was playing with his dagger as he stared at the phone, and it wasn't his phone. It was Julius' phone.

"You're really a pain in the ass, you know that? Now I have to keep you alive in exchange for my own freedom," Carazen said as he crushed Julius' phone and threw it away after he read the message that Julius sent to Gratya.

"Do you think they would negotiate? Just for my life?" Julius asked weakly with his eyes barely open. "You're done for, Carazen. You can't leave this place alive even if you want to," Julius scoffed as he closed his eyes.

Carazen put his right foot on the table and rested his right arm on his knee. He looked at the bag next to him and thought about something crazy. He then grabbed it and unzipped it which made Julius worried.

"What are you doing? Don't do it," Julius said as he shook his head nervously.

"I wasn't trying to consume it, and I have plans on what I'm going to do with these. But now, thanks to you, I have no other option, don't I?" Carazen asked as he looked at all the Demon Fragments inside the bag.

"If you admit what you did, it's not too late. Everything can be covered and nobody would know," Julius said as he looked at Carazen.

"Then what? I'm going to be monitored? Blackmailed? Forced to become the Emissary's dog?" Carazen asked as he looked at Julius. "Man will try to survive, and this is the only way," Carazen said and put all the Demon Fragments into his mouth.

Julius' eyes were wide open as he watched Carazen swallow all the Demon Fragments down his throat. Carazen immediately fell from the table and collapsed to the ground as he put his hands on his neck.

"I..." Carazen looked at the ceiling. "I accept! I accept!" Carazen shouted with his eyes wide open.

Carazen stopped moving, and Julius thought that he was dead, but then he saw Carazen's body start to twitch. He slowly moved his hands and sat up as he groaned in pain, but then he started to chuckle as he looked at his own hands.

"Carazen... what have you done?" Julius asked with a terrified look on his face.

Alseace had been dealing with a total of 17 portals and 4 vortexes ever since he entered the red vortex. He had gained at least 10 points on each status, and he got 20 extra status points from clearing 4 C-Rank vortexes.

"Breakfast is ready, let's eat," Sierra said as she removed her apron and put it on the chair next to her.

"Miss Sierra, can you teach me Ice and Lightning elements? I need to understand how to create those two elements," Alseace asked as he ate the bacon.

"Sure, but eat your breakfast first," Sierra answered and took a sip of her tea.

Both Mykel and Sierra's phones vibrated, and they looked at each other for a second. They both then grabbed their phones and they were surprised when they saw the message.

"Julius is dead..." Alseace said and he was in disbelief. "Who killed him?" Alseace looked at Sierra.

"I know who. Let's leave, now," Sierra said as she stood up.
